This quaint hotel is only a few doors down from the square where the market is. It is so convenient to access the square, the shops and all the restaurants. The hotel is very old and has a lot of character! We got our laundry done here and they had it back the same day! The restaurant is great, the goulash is delicious. The breakfast is well presented and there is lots to eat. The staff were very friendly. I would stay here again.

A great place to stay in a medival town.. incredible location, onsite parking (a heads up rent a small car) great restaurant and perfect breakfast...the employees all were great accomidating to our broken deutsche.. no a/c just a heads up in summer months but all in all a outstanding stay.. Amazing.
Amazing. In good meaning, the price doesn't match the service. Location is just next to central, the building is historical and nostalgic. The price is under 100 usd per night even though breakfast is included.

first, what we did not like was there is no elevator and we stayed on the 3rd floor. the second set of stairs curves and was narrow. it was had to drag our luggages to out room and they have no staff to help with the luggages. the location was good as it was at the old town and close to all sights to see.

I felt like I was living in another time. The hotel was absolutely beautiful! Old world charm with modern day conveniences. The staff were exceptional! So warm and inviting. Plus the hotel’s location could not be beat. I would definitely stay here again.

Our first and last stay
First of all, we would like to thank the owner for a complimentary ride to the hotel. This gave us a good impression of her and we were excited to meet her. However, she was rather unhelpful and hostile towards us. We asked if she could kindly arrange a taxi for us in advance on our departure day but she refused, replying with a straight “No”. Meanwhile, her staff eagerly told us that he would be happy to call a taxi for us. The room we were staying in was chilly, despite the 3 old and small heaters in the room. When we gave her our feedback via email, requesting for a change of room with preferably more heaters, she responded by saying that there we no available rooms, so she gave us blankets. Regardless, we appreciate having the extra blankets. The next day, we told her that the blankets were of no use and did little to help us stay warm. She told us that we weren’t able to withstand the cold because we were Asian, which leads me to believe that not only was she an unfriendly host, she was also racist. Unfortunately, we had 3 miserable chilly nights and wore 3 layers of merino wool to sleep. In the end, she told us she had an available room that we might be interested in but we declined as the room was equally as cold as ours. Without an upgrade to the old heaters or the inclusion of more heaters in their rooms, they would not be able to provide better service to guests. What a waste, don't let the reviews fool you.

This hotel is right in the centre of town. An easy walk to the train station. Located above a traditional restaurant, it feels like it probably was hundreds of years ago. There isn’t any elevator so this is not the place for you if you can’t do stairs. The staff were very accommodating. I wish I had stayed an additional night.

Location, location, location
You cannot beat the location of this hotel. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but the common areas are charming, and the hosts are very friendly. Walking out the door and being in the town square was wonderful. Bring your shampoo, but there was soap. We went in Dec., and there was no problem getting a hotel parking space, but getting through the crowds in the street can be a problem.

The staff are especially kind and helpful. The restaurant downstairs has delicious food. And perhaps the absolute best part... free parking on site! Highly recommed this property :)

We enjoyed our room in this beautiful little Inn, in the middle of old town Rothenburg. Everything was to our liking. Nice breakfast and very friendly staff. Would stay there again!

Old world charm in a clean and comfortable hotel. Located 1 block from central square. Breakfast is very good. Hotel has a full restaurant. Parking is in an enclosed courtyard in the rear.

Very nice unique hotel. Tons of character yet all of the required amenities. Staff was friendly, dinner was excellent, breakfast was a bit small but I was traveling with a teenage boy. Location is amazing.

Terrific historic inn. Central location, and welcoming staff. Gigantic breakfast included in the room rate. Only challenge is driving on the tight historic streets and parking in the tight lot behind the inn. You’ve earned your beer once you’ve managed to put your car away for the night.

This guest house has been in continual business for 650 years!! Yet the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location could not be improved upon. It is right in the Center of the city. A wonderful place to start each day with an early morning stroll before the tourists arrive. The food in the reastaurant is marvelous. Breakfast is included. The dinner menu is comprehensive. You will not be sorry if you step back in history here.

This property was located right in old town next to the Rathaus so it was very convenient. The rooms were spacious, but the bathrooms were a bit tight. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We also ate at the hotel restaurant one night and the food was great. One note for those who come by car. The hotel has free parking but it does fill up. Luckily we arrived early. I was also unaware that you could drive your car into old town so we at first paid to park outside of the town walls. The entrance looked more like a pedestrian gate than a road that you could take, but that was where our GPS was telling us to go. You can indeed drive into old town.

Good location, with parking. Clean, good craftmanship in many ways such as bathroom, walls and ceiling, windows. Attic room does not have AC and gets hot, even on a cool day, making it worse is the heat generating halogen bulbs. Furniture is spartan, uncomfortable bed, no bedside lamp. Floors creak everywhere, apologies to the guests on the floor below.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The building is very old, like most in Rothenburg, but our room must have been remodeled recently. The furnishings were very modern and high quality. We ran into traffic on our way, so we arrived after the 8 pm check in time. We called ahead though, so they were able to accommodate us. The hotel is attached to a restaurant, and the same staff manages both. The restaurant closes at 9 pm. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Both were very good. Our room was overlooking the courtyard, which included the small beer garden and parking area. The room was quiet and comfortable.

The owner and staff were very nice. The location was right in the town square. Perfect. My only critique would be that they were upfront with additional costs like parking, I'm finding this to be common in Europe.

We loved our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and the location was really good. A little nerve wracking getting to the parking area but that is to be expected in this cute little town and we were just grateful that parking was available! They served a really nice breakfast and we ate dinner here as well. The room was quite large. We would definitely stay here again.
