Quaint non-fancy but very clean and comfortable easy to enjoy bed and bathroom. If you just want a nice place to sleep and wash up while on a road haul through the area, this is perfect.

Room nice, bed is wonderful. Staff friendly, check in easy, very affordable. Downsides.. No ice. Property right at highway edge. Our room literally 30 feet from street (US 90). Fortunately, speed limit is low entering town, and walls are thick, so noise is well muted. We didn't mind, others may. We're in room 1. Rooms 10-11 furthest from street. Restaurants in easy walking distance.

Our room #11 was very clean and well lit, the TV large, the mini-frig and microwave smallish but working. Water pressure was great and the toiletries provided very nice. The room had been sanitized thoroughly so that we had to leave the door open to air it out for a little time. The motel also had a working washer/drier ($5 for a load) in the middle passage way, but no icemaker. The wall AC cooled the room fine but the 2 speed fan was loud -- which turned out to be OK as the motel front abuts HW 90 and its rear is about 400 feet from railroad tracks for loooong freight trains that pass through the night so the AC zoned out the other sounds! The best sounds for me, however, were the cries of peacocks, which belonged to the motel owner next door. I think the 20 room motel is a gem in the middle of no where and would recommend it to any traveler looking for shelter on Route 90 (Just don't pay the special "Eclipse" price we did!) ;- )

This property is newly remodeled and this best bargain in Texas I read everyone hated the trains passing by and the hood ol Rooster but im a Countryboy and I appreciated the ol Rooster. He is dedicated but I was raised 30 yds from a railroad track and I am use to roosters. He is just tell you it’s time to get up and get your life moving lol The rooms were completely new and remodeled inside and these folks keep a clean place so don’t miss the best place to stay short of Concan and Garner State Park!

Price was great. Modern room with a GREAT & soft bed! Noras Tacos across the road is exceptional homemade mexican food. Only downside was no ice machine. We'd stay here again for sure.

My only beef the AC unit needs a good wipe down a bit noisy AC unit but that actually help me sleep. Be prepared for lots of trains but I stayed from 25-30. It was good to see Sabinal pd patrol the area..

The attendant was not at the location, I called them and had to wait 3-5 minutes, she was nice and quick with the process. I hurt my heel with the metal bed base, there was a piece of metal, actually 3 pieces but I only get hurt with one, please fix that in room 15.

The place was clean, very clean. The place is an older motel that they are remodeling. The bed was comfortable. The problem was noise. It sits right between US 90 and a busy railroad. We are talking very close. The property is small. The boundaries are the highway and the rails. If the A/C had a constant fan selection, with the heat selected, it would have worked for the road noise.

Overall very pleasant, nice friendly place. Pretty comfortable beds. But the A/C in room 16 was unacceptably loud. Really really loud, not just like a loud a/c unit, more like...just REALLY loud. I hope they fix that b/c it made it very hard to sleep and we look forward to visiting again next year, like we have in the past.

We stayed here during our visit to Uvalde for Palomino Fest. This is a quaint little motel that has everything you need to feel right at home. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were very flat. The bath towels were nice and I felt safe getting in and out of the bathtub since it was textured on the tub floor. The shower had excellent water pressure and was always hot. The space was perfect for me and my kids to unwind after the long days traveling. The only downside is we could never get into the office to ask what the wifi password was. The door was always locked during the day or night. It would have been nice to have that provided upon check-in. My daughter even called the office a few times but no one picked up the phone. Also our deadbolt did not work to our room. It is not evenly aligned with the door jamb to work properly. We were able to lock the bottom lock however. We felt safe in the area so it wasn't too much of a concern but this is something that should be looked at for room #16. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone that wants to get a nice room for a fair price instead of spending a lot more on a hotel in Uvalde or surrounding areas.

The refrigerator, microwave, and closeness to a store at the Route 187 intersection made it convenient for simple meals and hitchhiking. The air conditioner was noisy and blew excessively cold air on the bed, which had a light blanket, so one has to know to adjust it.

The room had crickets and flies in it and the only way for the blow dryer could work by the vanity was to turn on the light in the bathroom. Beds were very uncomfortable especially to sit on the edge of them.
