Great hotel close to major sitesPosted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: The staff was very helpful. They left chocolates on our bed every night and left us a box of chocolates the first night.
Cons: Our room was a little warm at night. Adjusting the thermostat didn't help much.
Location: The hotel was only a short walk to the Seine and very walkable to Notre Dame. There were many cafes nearby.
This was a great hotel. The staff were very helpful. We arrived earlier than check-in and our room wasn't ready. They held our bags while we went and got lunch, and when we came back the bags were in our room. The staff even showed us how to work the thermostat, safe, lights, etc. They left a box of excellent chocolates in our room as a welcome gift and left chocolates on our bed every night. The location was very convenient to walk to/take the Metro to most of the major museums, etc. We followed a staff recommendation for dinner one night, and it was excellent. The room was a tad small, but I think that is probably the case with many Paris hotel rooms.

Excellent hotel choice, perfect locationPosted Feb 25, 2015
This is an excellent choice for a hotel in Paris. My wife and I stayed a week at Hotel de Buci, and the hotel is comfortable, stylish, and clean. Our main reasons for choosing Hotel De Buci was we liked the look of the hotels/rooms, the convenient location, and price compared to comparable hotels. We had a great time, and will recommend this hotel to any friends and family planning a trip to Paris. The staff are very welcoming, and are there to help, including suggesting places to see, making meal reservations, and purchasing advanced tickets to museums. The location is incredible - in Saint Germain, on a street with plenty of small bakeries, restaurants, and boutique retail shops etc. We were able to walk all over Paris from the hotel, with the location of the hotel conveniently located near many of Paris' sights.

In the heart of ParisPosted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: No formal hotel check in counter with fancy computers, just a simple desk and receptionist to welcome you.
Location: This boutique hotel is exactly what you imagine Paris to be, it's situated on a quaint street with boutique shops and numerous cafes. Across the stree
It was all a very positive experience. We had a problem with the drain in the shower and they moved us to a new room the next day. Request a room on the front otherwise the views are of the back of the neighbors building. The rooms a small be very well appointed, refrigerator, hair dryer, flat screen tv, etc...

Cozy hotel near Luxembourg GardensPosted Jan 24, 2015
My husband and I stayed here for the 1st part of our honeymoon which was in January. The concierge Edgar was exceedingly friendly and greeted us outside to guide us in from the chilly weather before we could even ask for help. The hotel is somewhat small, smells lovely, and is decorated in a homey-Parisian fashion-- very cozy and welcoming. Our suite was on the 6th floor with fair views of the city, though we kept our curtains closed. Room was spacious enough for our liking, warm, and surprisingly quiet at night. We accidentally slept in until 11:00 am one morning! The hotel was close enough (meaning a leisurely walk or short cab ride) to most attractions and far enough that wr were not bothered by tourists or street vendors. There are also a handful of very tasty bakeries and restaurants around the corner so my husband would run down and grab a croissant to bring back while I got ready! 2 very minor things to mention are that the tub-shower combo had a partial door and the king-size bed is actually 2 beds pushed together, which we didn't notice until our last night. We would definitely return here.

Exquisite accommodations and exemplary staffPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The heart of Hotel de Buci and core competency is its staff. Unflappable, unfailingly gracious, and unobtrusively attentive.
Cons: Our room was too warm, which provided the perfect reason to open our window to the sounds of Paris!
Location: Favorite neighborhood haunts: Saint Sulpice, Deux Magots, Boulevard de Saint Germain shopping, Saint Germain metro to flea markets and everywhere.
Hotel de Buci is a treasure. The location is ideal for exploring the elegant neighborhoods of St. Germain and Saint Sulpice. The accommodations are comfortable and elegant--every courtesy and convenience is graciously provided.

Good Location on the Left Bank and Excellent StaffPosted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: The Staff and Location. Both were superior.
Cons: The single boudior was small and there was too much going on in such a small room. In this case, less is more since less would provide more comfort.
Location: One can explore many of the streets and areas where the resistance fighting took place during the Nazi occupation of Paris in WW II.
The location and staff at the Hotel de Buci was excellent which made my stay worthwhile. I have stayed at several hotels in this area, and I was disappointed with this hotel's boudior room. On the first day of arrival, the inside of my bathroom door was soiled; other than that the room was clean, and the chambermaid did an excellent in tidying my room each day. The comfort of the room was poor; the nightstand was a small cutout in the wall; there was a mechanical noise at the bed's headboard which required me to sleep at the foot of the bed; and the room was quite warm at night. Under these conditions if the room rate was lesser, I would have accepted what I paid for; however I had expected more from this hotel given its nightly rates. With all of this said, I would probably stay there again, but just in a different room. The location for touring is excellent and close to two metro lines and many of the major t tourist attractions such as: the Les Deux Maggots; churches and abbeys, Sainte Chapelle, Notre Dame de Paris, St-Germaine-des-Pres, St. Sulplice; and museums, Louvre and d'Orsay and of course the quais along the Seine. Just check out some of the back streets, and you may be surprised by where you arrive!
