Wifi condition is very bad. No restaurant was around if you arrive late around 10pm. ( hotel restaurant closes at 9:30pm)

Good place for hike to chateau Koenigsbourg
Great balcony facing Chateau Koenigsbourg. Room was fine too. But it feels a bit dated. Like a luxury hotel for the 1950s. Breakfast was good and service excellent. Town has only a couple of restaurants and a tiny grocery store which is not perfect for people who hike from town to town like we did.

Too silent for us
If you like staying in a very silent hotel then this is the place to be. Rooms are outdated, but clean and some people like authentic rooms. Dinner is ok and friendly people. The reception and bar is not inviting, a bit sad and not the place to be if you want a nice aperitif before dinner.

Nice and quite place
The place is quiet and nice. I wouldn't recommend taking a breakfast because it's very expensive - 12 euro for a very basic, and to get eggs it's additional 5 euros.

A certain style
I find this area fascinating as the you cross the border from Germany the hotel and restaurant prices just go up. Still this hotel is very much aimed at the 60+ group. Staff are working hard and the bedrooms are clean but not redesigned since the mid seventies.

Stopover in Alsace
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel in the heart of Alsace country surrounded by vineyards. The evening meal was excellent accompanied by a bottle of Pinot Gris! The breakfast was also good and the staff very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend the hotel.

Lovely hotel in a real french winery town
Very nice hotel with excellent food and great service. They also have their own winery so you can taste and purchase wines if you want to. Breakfast was great and restaurant won't disappoint you as well. Room wasn't the most spatial, but was clean and cozy.

Nice view
It is in a quiet area a bit uphill. Enjoy quiet sleep and the good view from the room. If you drive a car, you may feel comfortable to stay here. Open space carpark is just opposite the hotel entrance.

Wine country heaven
We stayed here two nights as a family of three in a triple room and there was plenty of room in this quaint hotel. The staff were amazingly helpful and the food and wine served for dinner was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. We had a little balcony with chairs to enjoy the stunning view over the houses and French countryside. The town itself is spectacular with old houses set amongst the vineyards and cellar doors throughout and more restaurants within a quick walk. The whole town is overlooked by the Haut Koenigsbourg Castle which I highly recommend visiting too. The stay here was faultless for a trip to a little French town.

Close to many interesting locations with car
A lovely hotel, charming staff, great view of the castle, easy to get to Riquewihr, Ribeauville, castle, Colmar, other villages and sites in the area. Only two small negatives: no coffee maker in the room :-( and the GPS apparently doesn't register the location, so it took us extra time to figure out that we needed to turn right, not left on the Route du Vin to find the hotel. It really IS in St. Hippolyte! Worth the detour.

Wonderful Visit
My wife and I had a great visit in St. Hippolyte and the surrounding area. The food was fantastic and the service the same. Most of the staff spoke English, and those that didn't were very helpful and patient with my not so good German, and no French skills. We are Americans that live in Germany, and would recommend this to those like us that live near the border of the famous Alsace/Lorraine region. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the Alsace and recommend it highly to Americans that speak no German or French. My grandmother's family came from this area, so the great service meant all that more to me (my great-great-great grandmother was a Munsch!).

St Hippolyte main road
Hotel very nice, easy to find, rooms good size including bathrooms and nicely furnished. On-site restaurant seemed a bit high in price so we did not eat there. Great hotel location. Negative- the middle-aged man at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful, but the woman (his wife?) was not. She had an attitude and seemed bothered in supplying info. We did purchase 3 bottles of wine from them, which she said we could obtain in the morning. The next morning however, the front lobby was unstaffed, so we did a self-checkout at 6:45 AM and left wineless. We had to return the rental car and catch an early morning train from Strasbourg, so we had no choice. When my wife called later that day, this woman seemed astounded that we would require lobby personnel to be available before the crack of 7 AM(apparently 9 or so is the norm), and of course shipping the wine to us would be impossible ( though it wasn't charged). Kind of a finishing bummer to a nice hotel stay in a beautiful area and otherwise well worth it.

Sehr nettes Hote mitten im Elsass. Gutes Frühstück, sehr hilfsbereites Personal, welches immer bereit ist möglich zu machen, was möglich ist. Das Hotel bietet ein Abendmenu exklusiv für die Hotelgäste. Ich habe es zwar nicht selbst probiert, aber die anderen Gäste waren sehr zufrieden. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Hotel de paso
Llegas esperando un hotel con encanto pero es un edificio anexo al de las fotos. Nuestra habitación era grande con balcon hacia un patio trasero sin mas vistas que un tractor y casetas de servicio del hotel. El baño en dos partes , el retrete por un lado y la ducha y lavabo por otro , este último renovado y moderno pero con ducha sin puerta por lo que al ducharte aunque tengas cuidado se escapa todo el agua. La cama era cómoda pero la habitación solo disponia de un ventilador de sobremesa para un apaño si hacia calor como paso en nuestra estancia.El desayuno es muy bueno y el personal de recepción amable , pero le hace falta una renovación porque esta bastante viejito todo.

Groot hotel met moderne en ook ouderwetse kamers. Lift. Uitstekend ontbijt. Diner is een vast menu voor alle gasten, maar uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Parkeren voor de deur. Fietsen in gesloten garage. Uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor fietstochten door de wijngaarden naar Selestat, Colmar, etc. Voldoende restaurants in het dorp. En voor wijnliefhebbers: het paradijs..
