Comfortable and distinctive hotel.
We stayed overnight before catching the ferry to UK next evening. Very comfortable hotel. Excellent food in the bistro. The food was good value, considering the quality and the service, but quite pricey. Breakfast service was understaffed and ran out of the very good bread and viennoiserie by 09.45.

I liked the amazing food in the brasserie, the big bed room, luxury bed linen, the large shower, impressive grounds, helpful friendly English speaking staff and the swimming pool. location is very convenient for the ferry crossing. I do think the pool should be open before breakfast. It is healthy to swim before if you can. I recommend 8am. Didn't like the noise of the traffic much because of the busy road near by and would request quieter room next time. Plus we were disappointed there was no dairy free spread for my husband at breakfast. However we will return again.

Lovely place to stay
This hotel is lovely. We were only there unexpectedly for two nights due to a car breakdown and we’re busy doing things so didn’t eat there or use the facilities- pool and jacuzzi looked fab- but the reception staff we dealt with were absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful

Lovely suite. Awful WiFi. Book dinner in advance.
The suite was lovely. Great size and very clean. Unfortunately, we didn’t book to eat in the restaurant in advance and there is no room service so we had to go out food hunting. The WiFi was appalling. The only place we could access it in the suite was the bedroom where my two year old was asleep so we had to use data roaming to access the forms we had to complete for our return to the UK.

A superior hotel with a very pleasant ambience which is supported by excellent cuisine. The proximity to Cancale and St Malo is a big plus and we look forward to staying here again. Just one minus was the rather antiquated shower equipment.

Stay here for the restaurant and service.
The hotel rooms were a little "tired", as was the pool and spa. However, the room was comfortable. A car is necessary for a stay at this hotel as it is some kilometres to the nearest towns of Cancale and Saint Malo. The hotel restaurant is Michelin rated and the food and service were excellent. This was also reflected in the quality and choice of food for breakfast.

Hotel and dining en route to St Malo
Needed a hotel close to St Malo for an early crossing following a week in the Vendee. Didn't fancy the 5.30am start it would have taken to reach the ferry the same morning. Superb hotel. Incredible diner. Excellent service. Also had time to visit nearby Cancale which was an unexpected pleasure. Highly recommend this hotel if you're around the st Malo/Nth East Brittany area, particularly if you like fine food.

Well presented.
Our room overlooked the railway so we did experience train noise but we knew this in advance. The AC in our room was not powerful enough to cool the room so we had to open the windows which let in more noise but it was better for sleeping. Room was spacious and parking excellent.

Great hotel in good location
Well kept hotel with good facilities. Our Room was in an annexe building which made our stay very pleasant. My only complaint was that I felt the hotel was a little too formal as we were using it on a vacation ie dress code for dinner & breakfast. Better that though than not caring enough. Prices for food and drinks also on the high side considering the wide choice of restaurants available within a few km drive.

Hotel states it has a lift but on arrival was told our room was on the 2nd floor in the annexe as booking through expedia the cheapest rooms are given. I had phoned the hotel directly to book dinner and check the lift access for the room and was told this was ok. After a delay they offered us a room which had lift access and paid a supplement of 20 Euros. Dinner was ok but not outstanding and expensive. We were not impressed with the hotel and have stayed in better hotels and paid less......... a very disappointing stay and will not be returning.

Great food
Don't be put off by how close you are to the railway station, we didn't notice any disturbance and I'm a light sleeper. The hotel was welcoming, the pool lovely and the food was delicious.

We were surprised to find this comfortable, modern hotel seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The rooms were modern and comfortable (although one smelled of cigarette smoke) and the restaurant was excellent, although a bit pricey. The indoor pool was nice, although the whirlpool heater was out of order. We drove the next day to St. Malo and were hoping to find a breakfast stop along the way, but there is really nothing in the near vicinity.

Quality hotel with good food
Well run hotel and newly refurbished to a good standard. Food is very good but it's an expensive place to eat and it has an extensive wine list but with very few cheaper wines to choose from. Overall I'm not sure the quality of our meal quite matched the price tag but a very good place to eat and stay all the same. Enjoy for a special occasion.

I stayed one of the small number of cheaper rooms. When I arrived at the hotel I was surprised by the luxury of the hotel in comparison to the low price that I paid. It turns out that they have a couple of rooms that they charge less for but they are still very nice rooms and I was completely satisfied.

This hotel is of great quality. It was perfect for us. The only let down is the quality of the mattresses in the cottage. I am sure the rest of the hotel and other rooms are comfortable. But better mattresses in the cottages should have been better.

Be Wary of the 'Cottage'
On the whole, our stay was very good... BUT... beware.. We booked the hotel based on the fact we required a room for 4... we were told that we would be in a COTTAGE - now, in the UK we would expect this to be an annexe of the hotel with full hotel service.. this is not so in France.. the COTTAGE was in fact a Lodge a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, but had no towels.. and, indeed, no 'maid' service.. Not knowing this fact, we had only taken beach towels with us; we informed reception, and after a short discussion we were issued with towels (and bathroom goodies) and told that we would be treated like guests staying in the hotel.. (we never did get the room cleaned in the week). The other facilities were fine - bar, pool etc... and getting into St. Malo was easy with the station on the doorstep (just the frequency of the trains was a problem - not the hotel's fault).

Very French, I think.
I am an american so the hotel seemed to have a french feel. It was exactly as described. Lots of room. We had the fancy dinner in the restaurant. Nothing extraordinary, except for the staff. Our waiter was excellent. Breakfast was expensive! I just had coffee and they charged me the entire amount ! Be careful.

Great hotel for couples and families
Very good hotel, convenient for the area around St. Malo. Rooms are good, worth paying extra for a better room as some of the cheaper rooms only have dormer windows in the roof. Lovely swimming pool area. Staff very pleasant and speak English if needed. A big hotel, next to a little railway station but noise is not an issue.

Good stop over for ferry.
Very nice room, very clean and airy. Friendly, helpful staff. The pool wasn't as nice as it looked in the photos and it wasn't as clean as it could have been. A good hotel for St malo although noisy as on a main road. A good stopover with a fabulous restaurant unless your have vegetarians in your party as there is nothing on the menu for non meat/fish eaters.

I only stayed for one night.my room was very old fashionned and quite rustic. But it was all very clean,quiet and nice. the breakfast and their staff are equally perfect! I haven't used the spa facilities so wouldn't comment.
