Balcony overlooking garden was nice. A/C worked well. Dressing area nice but there was only one piece of furniture - which guest got to keep their luggage off of the ground? No counter in the bathroom! No counter space in bathroom made it very difficult for 2 women w/makeup and toiletries. Staff was not eager to engage. Expected more for the price.

Nice hotel conveniently located for train station and bus routes. Staff very friendly and helpful, gardens are lovely, room aircon worked very well. Not really up to the condition and level of service I’d expect for a 4 star hotel though. No coffee pod top up during a 3 night stay and room decor was pretty tired and basic.

A pleasant hotel in a quiet area
This was a very pleasant hotel, convenient for the train station and about a 15 minute walk from the Old Town Reception staff were very helpful when I arrived, with restaurant recommendations and information about the Salzburg Card

A lovely hotel
The staff were great, food was awesome and excellent location. Would stay here again for sure. Not a mark against the hotel but I did get quite a lot of mosquito bites so if youre travelling there in this climate then take some repellant. Thanks for a great stay!

This is a beautiful hotel so close to the train station. We had a very nice room with a balcony that looked over a very nice garden which was part of its property. We could sit there in the evening enjoying a glass of wine. The last night that we were there they were serving dinner al fresco in the garden. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay there again when in Salzburg and would recommend it to my friends The location is very convenient and not that far from the historic old town.

I was disappointed as it was supposed to be a 4* hotel and this did not live up to that rating. No restaurant or bar open on Saturday night and a very average breakfast for 18 Euros. The bathroom had a very strange smell (despite a separate toilet) and the shower itself was extremely small. Worst was when the guy at reception tried to charge me again for my two nights on check out - I insisted it was already paid but he was adamant it had not been. I was left trying to search through emails while at the desk to try and prove otherwise. Not a nice feeling.

Comfortable, room was small, for a few dollars more should have gotten the next size up, but if just going to sleep it's fine, My grandson needed to do a few items of laundry, was very pricey. Beautiful property with lovely grounds. We thought the parking was free but at check out was charged. Great breakfast.

The hotel is situated within walking distance to the train station, although a little further than it seemed on the map. It's in a very quiet neighbourhood. The rooms were clean and beds comfy. The best part of the hotel is the breakfast which is included. A wonderful spread of breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit, veggies, cereals, hot foods, and a chef who makes your custom omelettes!!! She was amazing and would serve your made to order omelette right to your table. The staff at the restaurant were very attentive and nice. The front reception staff could be more friendly, and our check-in experience was not smooth as it took the front receptionist some time to find out reservation (seems like he was looking on the wrong date). All in all, a great place to stay in lovely Salzburg.

It’s a bit of a trek from the old town. However you can walk along the river. Close to the train station but can’t say I would stay in this area again. Hotel felt more like a basic 3 star. If you wanted tea/coffee, the sachets etc were at reception so you had to go down for them (not a huge deal, but having walked over 20km that day, 2 flights of stairs was like a mountain!!) It was clean, staff friendly and printed train tickets for me which was great. The place was just a bit soulless.

Depressing.
I blame myself for believing good reviews without looking deeper. First, some positives: It's a short walk from the railway station, certainly not expensive, the breakfast is pretty good, and staff were all pleasant and helpful. However, despite efforts to brighten up the interior with original art works, it feels like a cross between student accommodation and a Travelodge with low level staff training facilities. It's in a dreadful part of the city where you probably won't want to walk after dark, and certainly won't want to eat. My boxy little room have a very strange smell and a safe that didn't work. Functional, but I will never return.

Nice hotel
The location is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. The registration was efficient and friendly. Arriving early, we were given access to a locked baggage room and got an early start looking at the town. The locations that you are most likely wanting to see starts about 20 minutes away. The walking is on pretty level sidewalks. The Hotel is clean and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and faced the garden. No complaints about the room. It has a very nice breakfast--I thought the omelettes were great. We ate at the restaurant one night and thought it was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Quiet location with easy, quick transport available to the Altstadt. Short walk to/from Hauptbahnhof for train travel. Garden in the backyard is a god feature for relaxing in a green environment.
