Terrible stayPosted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: The lady that checked us in was very helpful and explained in detail how we could get around.
Cons: Forbid smoking near the restaurant. Adding some ventilation would help too.
Location: The best thing you can do, if you don't want to drive, is hop on a bus that will take you downtown.
The location is not good. The bed is uncomfortable, the frame is noisy and the pillows are too soft. No shampoo or any other toiletries in the bathroom. Although smoking is not allowed, the restaurant smells of cigarettes, even at breakfast time. The guy that checked us out was totally rude and a complete jerk. Once he collected our money, he blatantly started to ignore us, like we weren't there at all.

Great servicePosted Jun 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
I had originally only planned to stop for two nights, however with the flooding in Austria this was extended. The hotel staff were great and offered to phone my hotel to check if I could actually travel there. Location wise it's a little distance from city centre, but with a frequent bus service this didn't matter.

Itzlinger, great price good location.Posted Apr 11, 2013
Pros: Price, quality of the room, cleanliness, location.
Cons: No elevator that I was aware of. No usually a problem, but after 9hours on the cobble stone my knees needed a break getting to the 3rd floor.
Location: Seemed like a fairly safe location, more residential. It was along a main street that if you followed would take you to the center of town.
I got a great price on Expedia and when I showed up I found out that the price included breakfast - even better. I've been traveling around Europe for about 2 weeks and this was probably my favorite hotel. I showed up early and my room wasn't ready, but the staff took a lot of time to talk to me about the sights that I wanted to see and they made some recommendations as well. It was a ways from the train station and the old town area, but I wanted to get to see a lot of Salzburg anyway, so I didn't mind.
