Wolfgangsee Delight!
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay in this historic, lakefront hotel! The rooms with balconies facing Wolfgangsee are charmingly appointed, and comfortable! It was so easy to take the lift downstairs to dine st the water. We had drinks and a delicious meal watching the sunset on the water. The breakfast buffet was also wonderful! Wolfgangsee is near many lovely tourist destinations; we will return

Amazing location nestled in its own little bay. Beautiful view across the lake, and a short ferry hop to other towns. Wonderful breakfasts and lovely dinner. Good hospitality all round.

Wonderful
Gorgeous hotel, lovely staff - a bit disappointing that the restaurant was closed but they let me know a few days in advance and I had a picnic. Standard WiFi was terrible but they upgraded it for free. Amazing location - truly amazing place. Loved it and would go again - just not for business.

Great area but maybe not ideal for business travel
The area is beautiful (if a little sketchy to drive down to), rooms were clean and typical enough for the area. I was there on business and it is maybe not suited for this, breakfast started from 7:30 which is a bit late for me, other hotels were fine with me coming earlier and having some cereal or coffee but at check in I was told it's not possible. Day before I was due to leave I was told that actually it should be fine for me to come early and have something simple and a coffee which is nice but a little late in the stay at that point. The restaurant quality is only ok in my opinion especially for the price you are paying compared to cheaper establishments in the area, as a plus the service was friendly and good. if staying for leisure I'm sure my experience would have been more positive.

Excellent in every way
We spent 3 nights here and were sorry to leave. Every person on staff is wonderful. The location is perfect - tranquil and convenient. The views and amenities are amazing. Food is delicious.

Lovely lakeside Inn
What is there not to like about the Hotel Gasthof Fuerberg. It is just outside of St. Gilgen on the Wolfgangsee. The combination of a beautiful and well maintained facility, lovely grounds, a lakefront location, access to a multitude of hiking and biking options, helpful reception and, oh yes, very good food make this a wonderful choice for this beautiful area a short distance from Salzburg. Traveling with two friends, we had single rooms, and we were uniformly positive in our views of the place.

A Wonderful and relaxing stay
Amazing place to get away from it all. We stayed there 2 nights in late September. I can say enough about how comfortable we felt. The grounds and area were great to walk and relax. The breakfast was so incredible with a variety of choices to detailed touches to make it better than the average breakfast. The diner at night was superb in which we had the Furberg fresh fish. The only knock was that the diner was a little pricey and the waiter could not explain some of the menu in English. After 2-days it was tough to leave.

Georgous Lake Side setting
This is an amazing hotel with excellent restaurant for dinner and their "free" breakfast was the best we have seen. The location is lake side in the ALPS. Absolutely stunning. I would have to say this is one of my very favorite places to stay. I wish never left.

Superb lakeside location
Situated upon Wolfgangsee, but about 800m from St Gilgen, Furberg is an idyllic, quiet location for a retreat. The hotel is well maintained, the standard of rooms for this style of hotel is high. Everything clean, neat, efficient. Nice touches like branded bath towels and robes all add to the feeling of attention to detail really matters to the owners. We stayed in room 214 in the guest lodge. Alas, no lake view, as the hotel was full!!! The only issues we had were no fridge or air conditioning, which in the high summer will be an issue. Other than that, the room was excellent. Great double bed, great shower. Breakfast taken in the main hotel, and even on the terrace outside on good mornings, which is a wonderful way to start the day, lake views at breakfast! The breakfast is buffet style and extensive. There will be more than enough to get you set for the day. We didn't use the sauna, primarily because we couldn't find it! No obvious lounge area seemed a bit odd as well. The lake ferry stops adjacent to the hotel, for trips across the lake, very useful. All in all, an excellent place to come and stay. 100% reccomend it. Definitely better than staying in St Gilgen or St Wolfgang, if you crave peace and quiet.

Perfect getaway location near Wolfgangsee
An incredible stay with extremely friendly and professional staff. It's a perfect romantic location with direct boat transportation to St Gilgen or St Wolfgang for day excursions. The hotel also has a very good and affordable restaurant (fish is recommended). They provide discounted tickets for boat trips, cable cars in St Gilgen, bikes, paddle boats, sauna etc... Best of all was that it was complete free from other tourists so very calm getaway area.

Lovely hotel hotel right on the lake.
Beautiful hotel situated on the side of Lake Wolfgangsee, The hotel staff were very friendly and always aimed to please even when we arrive very late on our first night after the restaurant kitchen was closed. The hotel is about 20 min walk along a path from St Gilgen but was right next to one of the stops for the boat which did regular trips round the lake so this made travel very easy. Overall highly recommended.

Lovely hotel on Lake Wolfgangsee
From a personalized, cheery welcome by the front desk staff, to the Lederhosen clad waitstaff, the excellent food and hotel decore, I see this hotel to be one of the best in the Austrian Salzkammergut in terms of comfort and ambiance. If there is one thing that was missing in our room, it was a fan or AC unit as it was a warm day - the proximity to the water cooled the air soon after sunset. Definitely a place to go back to.

A wonderful place to stay
What an absolutely delightful hotel. This was a special occasion and was everything we could have wished for. The owners and staff were so helpful and friendly going that extra mile to make sure our stay was wonderful. I could rave on but suffice to say everything from the location, rooms, views, food and service were excellent. We will definitely return.

Family hotel right on lakeside
We (family 2 adults, 1 4yr old) stayed between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is family run and well run. We had a good family room (no 4) in main hotel on first floor - plenty of space for comfortable camp bed set up for our son. Room modern and clean. Breakfast is very nice - plenty of choice. Hotel well positioned right on edge of Wolfangsee - beautiful views and lovely and quiet. Hotel is about 7 mins drive outside St Gilgen down bendy long drive - bit tricky in the snow, but was gritted every morning which was definitely needed and appreciated. This hotel provides good room and good breakfast (restaurant is available for dinner) in lovely natural location - however for us as a family, it needed a relaxed lounge area, somewhere where you could sit down outside of your bedroom and have a hot drink, by a gorgeous log fire, and perhaps enjoy some family time playing games/reading. The hotel definitely lacks this relaxed communal space.

Our secret little paradise
Can only describe this hotel has 1st class in our opinion..our little secret . Rooms/ location/ price are all extremely excellent. Every thing can be catered for among different taste. We where on a touring holiday & booked for a one night stay but ended up booking a extra night because the location was great with lots to see & do. There are bikes free of charge to use aswell as boats to laze about on the lake, there are fantastic views to admire. The main boats dock right outside the hotel & are reasonably priced they take you to the surrounding areas around the lakes ie.St Gilgen , st Wolfgang are both superb areas to explore. Our first night we stay in the a room with a forest view which was nice & comfortable. Towels for the outdoors to lounge on & bath robes are provided..our second night we where lucky to have a lake view room in the main building which we can only describe as 5* very modern amenities and a view to die for???keep up the good work very satisfied with the whole stay wished we could have stayed longer.

Quiet hotel on a beautiful mountain lake.
The scenery around the hotel is absolutely wonderful. This hotel is away from the nearest town all by itself, but it is conveniently located next to a boat dock for a boat that can take to all points on the lake. There is plenty to do close by, the Zwolferhorn cable cars, a couple of villages on the lake to go shopping if you want, and the cogwheel train to Mt. Schafberg. Because of a 20 cm snow the night before we were going to take the train to the top of Mt. Schafberg, the whole area and the train was closed. Instead we went to nearby Mondsee to see the church where Maria of the Sound of Music was married. Later we traveled about 30 km to Bad Ischl to see the Kaiservilla ( the summer home of Franz Joseph I). It was both beautiful and interesting. After the tour, we walked into the village to have lunch at a cafe on the river. Had a great time.

굉장히 친절하고 필요한 물품이 있으면 바로 주고 하셔서 편안했습니다. 다만, 이 지역 주변모두 에어컨 또는 냉장시설이 준비가 안되어 있기 때문에 다소 불편함은 발생할 수 밖에 없는것 같습니다. 그외 나머지 모든 서비스는 좋았습니다 :)
