Close to sand and water awesome family activities

Nice. But confusing. It was completely booked - room was nice grounds were nice - no microwave - restaurant on grounds is fine dining expensive ...kinda did not Match the atmosphere. . . when bought sea work tickets from concierge they were cheaper they printed voucher and forgot to mention that We had to collect tickets at a different line at sea world so that was a huge hassle! I would think the water bay is not for swimming- just for a view

Challenging stay

The goal of our trip was as follows: 1. Look for house to live in SD 2. Enjoy a small vacation I chose this hotel due to the Hilton brand and its proximity to bay. The facilities in the hotel disappointed us. From day 1 the wifi did not work. We needed wifi to review real estate listing our realtor was sending to us. The staff was very helpful and after one day, they moved us to a different room, still no wifi. After two more days they moved us to a third room at villa where wifi finally worked. Our second room was next to elevator and every time someone used the elevator, it sounded like someone if using a big power tool and woke us up. The villa room had strong smell of dampness, but we accepted it in essence- it is next to a beautiful bay, but is a very old hotel and crumbling infrastructure. The staff is very helpful and kid.

Great location...beautiful bay views!

Pros: Location, pool.
Cons: Rooms need updating.
Location: Very close to Seaworld. There are a lot of activities in the bay.
Great hotel at one time, but it is a little outdated now. Room rates are pricey for the quality of the room(s). Our room had a musty/moldy smell I believe was due to the air conditioner. That being said, the location is amazing and the pool is fantastic! Great for kids!

Great location. Close to Old Town and Sea World.

Pros: I enjoyed the fact that you can easily go back and forth from the beach area and the pool.
Cons: Eliminate the $35 parking fees. I expect these fees when I'm in San Francisco, not San Diego.
Location: The hotel is a quick 5 minute drive to Old Town. We enjoyed having breakfast at the many restaurants in Old Town.
Had a great time at the resort. Kids had a lot of fun at the pool and beach area. Enjoyed the s'mores and evening firework show. Pool side service was great.

Pros: location and it was family friendly
Cons: maybe not be watering the grounds so freely, in this drought
Location: comic-con, walk the beach, rent jet ski , museums, historic parks...
We had a great time here and plan on returning. The beach was right at our front door and could see the Sea World fireworks from our room. Family friendly and during the week we had the pool to ourselves in the early morning. The weekend though was very busy but could have been due to comic-con.

Great rooms and facilities with quick access to the bay. Only thing is not to rent from the water rental place just outside the resort.

Staff at this Hilton made our experience wonderful! They went out of their way to provide above part service and accommodations. The ladies working with Kids Club remembered names of my kids and greeted them every time they saw each other.

They did upgrade us but this is no four star. Not for us. We moved to hard rock. Was probably better for families. Not the cleanest place :-(
