Wonderful place in San Pedro
Great location. “Downtown” near everything. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Lots of space and a nice breeze when you open the windows. Would stay here again when we go back to San Pedro.

You get what you pay for and some.
This location is directly across from the airport and very centrally located downtown. If you’d like to watch airplanes, be sure to stop right across the street as the restaurant is on the runway which we very much enjoyed hanging out at. You get what you pay for here it is not the most glamorous of places, but very cost affordable. The property was clean and Yevette was very attentive and responsive to any questions or concerns we had. if you are looking for a reasonably priced place, this is the place to go, if you’re looking for luxury and high-end, you may want to continue your search. I was not disappointed for what we got for what we paid.

Great location
Nice 3rd floor condo. Excellent view of the Caribbean Sea. Close to the many excellent restaurants in San Pedro. Downsides (which have nothing to do with the place) is the huge amount of smelling and decomposing seagrass which apparently is a problem from Florida to Honduras and the constant rush hour of golf carts on the street.

It is unfortunate that your stay coincided with the perfect storm event of Sargassum. It's one of the worst outbreaks that we've seen. Ten days of high winds pushed it towards Belize and then low winds let it float off the shore without piling up on the beach where it could be removed. Once the trade winds come back it will flush out the shoreline and bring things back to normal again. Nonetheless, we are sorry to hear that this affected your stay. We appreciate your feedback and hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future.

Beautiful stay on the ocean
My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at The Reef. The bed was comfortable, the shower was large and it was great to take in the warm ocean breeze after a day of diving sitting in the living room area. I would recommend everyone I know to stay here. Ramons is a stones throw away for all your diving needs (and it's much cheaper then Ramons).

Belizean Reef...Fantastic!
Management and housekeeping were top notch and always available. Place was clean,spacious and the view was incredible. So many things to see and do within walking distance and its located in a very safe area,great restaurant and bars near by .Got to meet the owners of this fabulous place and they were so friendly and knowledgeable about the Island. Okay, could be better
Generally we were turned off by the space being dirty. Dirty not in the sense that it wasn't cleaned daily but the fact that everything was dated and needed to be scrubbed clean or updated. There were ants in the kitchen, electrical cover plate missing from one of the outlets, no sheets except for a fitted sheet on the two futons, lack of toilet paper in the bathroom, and paper towels in the kitchenette. The bath towels were gray and dingy. There is a Lebanese Restaurant around the corner and the owner's or worker's gave us unwanted attention which left a bad taste in my mouth. Yvette was very nice and helpful, in fact she picked us up at the Ferry Terminal. The cleaning person was also very nice and provided us with extra beach towels when asked. The owner whom we met briefly poked me with his finger to speak to me which is completely unacceptable. The silver lining to this experience was that the view is lovely. If we would return we would definitely not book this place. The only reason I am giving it two stars is because of the view and Yvette. Hope this helps.

To future guests, Our goal @ Belizean Reef Suites is to offer a wonderful experience. We try to offer the best possible amenities. Between October and January of 2019/2020 we have: Installed new windows and blinds. Purchased a new bedroom dresser. Installed a new on demand hot water heater. Purchased a new range, refrigerator, microwave, pots and pans, silverware, blender, and toaster. Installed a new Moen kitchen faucet. Purchased a new 32inch Samsung smart TV. Installed new ceiling fans. Purchased new bar stools, kitchen chairs, and veranda furniture. Purchased new lamp shades. Purchased new linens & bath towels. Our goal is not to have are guests get surprised with what they have rented, for their vacation. We apologize for our guests being unsatisfied, but everything had been recently updated. The there of us stayed in Belizean Reef eight nights over Christmas, scuba diving most of the time. This condo is located on the third floor, and is perfect, very clean, spacious, close to everything, restaurants, pastries, dive shops, coffee shops, airport, and a beach, yet very quiet. The views from the balcony are gorgeous, sunrises are beautiful. Yvette, the property manager, is extremely helpful.

Delightful condo, delightful people!
What a delightful little condo unit! Homey, with fresh amenities and a beautiful ocean view and breeze on the balcony. We enjoyed the quite location while being mere steps from the airport and great beaches, restaurants and anything else we'd need. The staff and owners went the extra mile (and then some!) to help us in both good and difficult circumstances. We will treasure the place AND the friendships here, and hope to be back soon!

Perfect in most ways
Location great for walking along beach boardwalk to restaurants, shops. Just know it is not a swimming “beach” due to sargosa debris on shoreline, everywhere. Diving excellent, most places will pick you up at dock. View is wonderful. Yvette very helpful with check in, advise, she also set up golf cart for us. There is air conditioning in the bedroom but no unit in the main area and despite the breeze it can get quite warm. Ice cream shop and French bakery 5 min walk away. Will be back.

Great 1st Time Experience !!!
Our stay at the Belizean Reef was great!! Yvette and staff were more than helpful. Yvette met us at the airport and brought our bags back to the suite ( and took us back at the end of our stay) she showed us around the apartment and answered questions that we had.She suggested a great touring company SeaRious Adventures that is just a short walk. The suite was in a great location ( restuarants, shops) clean and had all the ammenties of home. It was a bit windy when we were there, my only suggestion might be a wind block of sorts on the balcony of the 3rd floor..Just a very friendly, helpful atmosphere..Thank -You Daryl, Toni, Yvette and staff for a most enjoyable stay..

Great Stay!
This ocean front unit was in the very best location and offered exactly what I needed for my work/play trip. It has plenty of space both inside and on the balcony. They were very responsive and even when I was really sick for a day, Yvette became a best friend and was my saving grace. Everything was perfect. The one thing I would add is suggest to new guests they should grocery shop so they have everything they need. I will be returning to Belize but for sure tonthis great find!!! Thank you for your tremendous hospitality!!!

Wonderful apartment located near everything.
My wife and I really appreciated Yvette and the entire staff at Belizean Reef Suites. She went out of her way to take care of us and make us feel comfortable from the moment we landed in San Pedro. Our 3rd-floor, one bedroom suite overlooked the ocean and was very comfortable. We enjoyed the rooftop, watching the sunrise and sunsets more than once. We walked everywhere (since we were close to all the great restaurants, bars, excursions). We rented a golf cart one day for a trip to Secret Beach, highly recommended.

Great location, Amazing views.
I highly recommend this unit. It met all our needs and helped make our visit to San Pedro very memorable. The owners, Daryl and Toni, were there during our stay and were very helpful and responsive. Daryl picked us up from the ferry and delivered us back at the end of the stay. The unit was clean, and in good repair. The air conditioning is only in the bedroom, but we found that was all we needed. We closed the bedroom door late in the evening and turned on the air conditioner while we slept. The rest on the unit has great cross ventilation, so our stay was comfortable. The location is central and within walking distance of most everything you need. It's very close to the airport, but noise was not an issue. We would not hesitate to stay hear again when will return to San Pedro.

Great location.
First time to Amberghis Caye and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a great location to stay at as the unit was nice and clean, property managers were very helpful and it is close to lots of restaurants. The only downside was the lack of water pressure for your showers and occasionally the airport was noisy in the mornings.

This condo is amazing! Nice lay out, clean and has everything you’ll need for a relaxing vacation!!!Perfect location. Great location and service
We had a great time and really enjoyed staying at Belizean Reef. The location couldn’t be better. Yvette is so incredibly helpful and kind. She will assist you with anything you need including booking outings with local guides, or you can take a one minute walk to Ramon’s dock if you prefer the convenience. My only concern with Belizean Reef is there is a gated stairwell that requires a standard small key to open from either side. I do not like the fact that if the building were to catch on fire at anytime and your unit full of smoke thereby hampering your ability to find the key you would be left with no choice but to jump from the balcony. I attempted to leave it open but someone always locked it behind me anyway. Aside from this concern (which I’m sure nobody else shares) I give the facility 5 stars!

Thanks Lucas for the review. We have the security gate key on a key ring as the room key. We want our guest safe and the security gate will keep anyone out that is not staying or working at our facility. The concrete building has fire extinguishers in every room. We like our location close to town and ocean front. Yvette is always mentioned in our reviews, she works hard to make sure guests are, informed about excursions and island information. Great stay at a great place
Belizean Reef was perfect for our family of four. We had the top floor with a back bedroom and a front room with two futons for our boys. A functional kitchen, and a balcony to look out at the beautiful view. The room was clean and everything worked well. Close to the downtown. The hotel host Yvette met us at the airport and took us back to the room. She gave us great information on things to do while we stayed there and also took us to the Water Taxi when we left. Belizean Reef was a great place to stay, made all the better by the kind, helpful host Yvette.

Great Location, Attentive on-site Manager, kitchen needs updating
Belizean Reef Condo location is walking distance to the airport (although Yvette provides transportation to and from to help with luggage), and has terrific access to San Pedro and beach front water activities. Yvette has an on-site office and always greats you and helps with recommendations for anything you need, bike rentals, diving, grocery, etc. Michael (Blue Heaven) arranged our diving, that included dive trips with him, Amigos Del Mar for the Blue Hole and Turneffe Atolle, and Belize Diving Adventures. All were good. The condo is a good size with nice balcony and view, but needs updating. The microwave is near first generation, works but probably doesn't meet current standards. The oven also functions, but is rustic. Overall the kitchen is aging, but has the necessary items for cooking. The bed is okay, but has a plastic crinkly mattress pad cover. Bath is fine, good shower after a long day of diving. So not ritzy, but the location is so great we would come here again. We loved Belize! Thanks Yvette.

Great Location & Super Friendly Staff!
Really nice place. Clean, Cool & Comfortable. We loved being right on the beach and we walked to all shopping, dining, & excursions. Yvette was a true sweetheart! She picked us up from the water taxi dock in the golfcart, and showed us a quick tour by the important stops. Everything is so close, we didn't need transportation for the entire week. Location, location
Loved our one-week stay. Apartment is spacious, comfortable, secure and has a wonderful balcony with a view out over the Caribbean. The roof terrace was an unexpected bonus, and very private. Yvette was wonderful, and could advise on most things. Angela, the housekeeper, is a lovely person, too. This apartment is walking distance from everywhere in the main town of Ambergris Caye, and you have a choice of walking along the beach or walking through the streets. We tried quite a few restaurants, but found ourselves going back to Hurricane several times, just a few steps away on the beach. The condo is very close to the airport, but noise is not an issue. We followed Yvette's advice in booking diving and snorkeling tours with Michael Cain from Blue Heaven Dives. Michael is a wonderful Belizean and was very helpful and reliable. Michael referred us to Amigos del Mar for our trip out to the Blue Hole, which was a fantastic trip (with lots more than just the Blue Hole - full day at sea, three dives, lunch on Half Moon Caye and a visit to the bird sanctuary there). We hired a golf cart for a day just to drive further up the coast, but otherwise you really do not need one.

Million Dollar View!!!
If you are looking for a true Belizean Island experience....look no further!!! Your million dollar view, immediate access down a Caribbean beach path to beach restaurants and bars are only a FEW of the many pluses of this condo choice. The owners, Daryl and Toni, happened to be there and were VERY gracious and welcoming. You come as strangers and leave as friends.They pride themselves in keeping their units running perfectly. The manager, Yvette, and her right arm--Angela--take tender care of your every need before you can even think to inquire. They are priceless and treasured SUPERSTARS on assisting you and knowing what to do on the island and who to connect with for various adventures. Yvette even picks you up at the airport with drinks awaiting your arrival at your new 'home away from home'. The million dollar view from your porch reflects the amazing hues of the Carribean and provides a great perch for watching the island activities. Loved having our breakfast out there, sipping morning coffee and watching the magnificent sunrises!!! The amply spaced condo is of Belizean decor, well kept and tended by Angela, and you have everything you could ever possibly need!!! For everyone desiring WiFi, it will serve your needs perfectly. In our one month stay we wanted for nothing and loved each and every moment!! You can choose from an abundance of dinner venues, or as we did on occasion , buy shrimp and lobster from the local fishermen, and cook right in your own space....whatever your pleasures..this choice can work!! We would stay here, again, in a heartbeat❤!!

Great Property!!! Great Location!!!
If you are looking for the 4 Seasons...keep looking! But if you are looking for a great property in a great location...look no more! The property is very clean and very secure, and Yvette is a tremendous hostess. She picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and was readily available for any request we had. Although easy walking distance to town, I would highly recommend renting a golf cart. There is so much to see on the island that being on foot will not allow. Yvette can arrange for golf cart rental upon arrival. There are a number of must sees on the island, but a couple of notables are the Chicken Drop on Thursday, Ak'bol Beach Bar, The Baker for fresh morning pastries, and the Blue Water Grill for breakfast. I hope you fall in love with Belize like we did.

Hello Ziggy, I would have to agree with you about San Pedro, Belize. I don't think there is another place like it in the world! When we come here we find it so different than the States, we love the people and culture. Everyone here finds a way to make a living doing something. There is not a welfare system here. The island is beautiful and we have never seen ocean water so clear. Yvette will be pleased to hear that you are pleased with her! . We hope you will return again soon to the Belizean Reef Suites. By the way, we just ordered new futon covers for the living room. We will always be looking for ways to improve our condo's Regards, Daryl

Island Paradise
From the moment we pulled up everything was PERFECT! Yvette (the property manager) greeted us with cocktails and a smile. The pictures online dont do this place justice...it is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Comes with daily cleaning and laundry service upon request. Beach front with hammock and beach chairs along with a nice patio to relax and watch sunrise and sunset. The condo will comfortabley hold a family of 4. Within minutes walking distance along the beach to all local restaurants and bars ... PADI shops are within walking distance and a large beach is directly in front. Air Tropic is literally a 5 minute walk... We cannot wait to go back!! Thank You Yvette for everything you and your staff are WONDERFUL!

Better Than the Pictures
This condo is huge!! It has one king bed, and two futons that are very comfortable!! In fact the futons were so comfortable we didn't even sleep in the main bed! The view from this place is great, and is something the pictures don't do justice. The pictures also make it look as though the place is in a congested area, which isn't true either, or at least once your there it doesn't feel congested. The condo also looks a lot more new/updated then it appears in the pictures. The little strip of beach is also very nice. The condo is within walking distance of everything, so renting a golf cart is really not necessary. Yvette was awesome! She picked us up from the water taxi, helped us carry our luggage (sorry it was so heavy), gave us a tour of the island and pointed out the best places to eat, and also had rum punch waiting in the room for us when we got there!! I would definitely recommend this condo to my friends. The only downside was that you had to walk by one snorkel place all the time, and the guys working there were a little agressive and persistent towards my sister and I, and would sometimes follow us down the alley trying to get us to come snorkel with them even though we had already said no. But their behaviour shouldn't deter you in any way from staying here.

Belizean Reef
We totally enjoyed our stay at Bealizean Reef. It was our first visit to Ambergris Caye and this was an ideal setting. Our condo faced the Caribbean (a million $ view) and walking down the beach we found ourselves amongst the great restaurants, bars and watersport facilities to offer. Walking through town was also, fun, stay to the curbs, dont get hit by a golf cart!! The property manager, Yvette, was the greatest. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and professional. She was punctual at picking us up at the airport and accommodating to give us local places to visit, rent a golf cart, snorkel, buy groceries, etc. also took us back to airport for our departure. The housekeeper, Angela, was also a sweetheart, a local, steering us to local info and keeping our condo clean and comfortable. Hugs and kisses to them both. What would we suggest for improvements? Simple fixes for unit 5: change out the bathroom faucet as it is corroded, fix tiles around toilet, as they are corroded, patio light fixture is dangling from wall, patio furniture is preformed, uncomfortable, plastic. The water pressure (as apposed to nearby residence) was super low and twice during our stay we had no water for a few hours. However, would return for a visit and recommend to our others! Most people are amazed at the wonder view and hard working staff. .We can not control the water pressure that we receive from the town of San Pedro. As you know we are located on the ocean front and the salt water corrodes everything. Metal patio furniture does not work because of the salt water. We fix anything broken and was not aware of a patio light broken. Again thank you for your visit.

Wonderful anniversary vacation
We can't say enough about our experience at the Belizean Reef Suites - unit #5. The unit was very comfortable and furnished perfectly. Yvette and Angelia were just wonderful and helpful providing us with information on the country, town and excursions that we could take. The condo was on the water so we could watch the boats, people and sunrises from our balcony. The breeze was wonderful! We were in walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Lovely well maintained VRBO
We enjoyed our stay at the Belizean Reef immensely. We were looking for a place that was private and provided a flavor of Belize. All of our needs were met. From the time that we arrived, and were picked up promptly @ our water taxi location, we were advised (upon request) as to the wonderful restaurants and activities that the island had to offer. Thanks to Daryl, Toni, and Yvette for a lovely memorable vacation. We had a wonderful time and would never hesitate to recommend this lovely to condo to anyone!!! Ilga & Grant

clean and convenient
Loved the close, walk to location. It was clean and had a balcony with a beautiful view. The water pressure was very weak and showers were slow. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. The AC and fans kept it very comfortable on hot days. Comfy king sized bed, but very scratchy covers on the two futon/beds made sitting uncomfortable unless covered with towels or sheets.

I wish I could control the water pressure of the city of San Pedro. That is a concern that is beyond the control of owners of the Belizean Reefs Suites.

Perfect location
We stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. Beautiful condo, easy to walk everywhere, but still quiet, and much more affordable than hotels nearby. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in San Pedro
