San Quintin Vacations
Visitors commonly use San Quintin as a launch pad for further adventures. This sought-after tourism region is blessed with a treasure-trove of wonderful cities, attractions and landscapes. El Rosario, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northwest, and Colnett, 50 miles (80 kilometers) to the south of San Quintin are also worth checking out.
Learn something new by spending a few hours at Baja California Norte's great art museums, history museums and nature museums. To experience the spiritual side of San Quintin, why not visit the area's many churches.
If you believe the ideal vacation is pushing yourself to the limit in the great outdoors, then sign up for one of the horse riding and mountain climbing excursions this region has to offer. Water adventures are a common activity here. Take the opportunity to go surfing or boating; this area has some great spots.
Those who love to travel know that trying popular local dishes is a great way to uncover a destination's personality. All-time favorite menu items are tacos de pescado estilo ensenada (ensenada fish tacos) and caesar salad, but of course there are many more mouthwatering dishes for foodies. Invigorate yourself with a beer. Rosarito is a good choice. Dawdle over a merlot or tempranillo. Both are popular drinks.
As your time here draws to an end, spend what's left of your Mexican pesos on last-minute keepsakes and bid a fond Adiós (farewell) to the interesting characters you've met and the great places you've seen.
