“Amazing Hotel”

My boyfriend and I decided on a two week holiday to Greece, spending one week on Paros and the second on Santorini. We were really pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Hotel Paradise on Santorini. Being two star we weren't expecting much but it should have been more. The room was lovely, the views from our terrace were breath-taking and the pool was gorgeous. The photos show a stunning hotel, and, if possible, it's even better in real life. The owners and staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, they seemed to work 16 hour days so they could be around for the guests! They serve evening meals in their restaurant, the food was delicious. However, our favourite restaurant was the 'zafura' which is located right out of the hotel, and 20 yards on the left. Best food i had all holiday, in Paros and Santorini was served there. Bus service to the capital Thira was very good and cheap. The hotel is a short walk from the Red Beach which is worth a visit. However, we just didn't want to leave the hotel! We'll definately visit again.

“Would go back tomorrow!”

What a beautiful hotel. Lovely grounds and hardworking staff kept the hotel at its best. Beautiful pool - swam every morning before breakfast. peaceful location. Room was basic but very clean with comfortable bed, a lovely balcony with quality furniture overlooking the pool area. Lucas the owner arranged our hire car, trip and taxi back to the airport, nothing was too much trouble for him or his wife Katerina who were assisted by their son George. We were made very welcome by everyone at this beautiful place we would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet stay at what can be a very, very busy Island.

“Going to Santorini, this is a great place to stay”

I was extremely impressed with the value-for-money, and the pristine look, of this hotel. I thought the 5-building complex in itself was an unusual look, and the friendly staff really made me feel welcome.

“Wonderful People, Beautiful Hotel”

We stayed at this hotel while in Santorini and we absolutely loved it. The management is a husband & wife team. When not busy the wife was seen caring for the thousands of plants that she has all over the grounds. The couple made arrangements for us to rent a scooter, they made all the arrangements to have our laundry picked up, washed, folded and delivered to our room. (Washing your clothes in Greece is expensive the difference between doing it yourself and having someone do it for you is just a few Euros) The only complaint I have is the breakfast however I discovered that most hotels throughout greece offer the same breakfast hard boiled egg, slice of cold cuts cheese and breads with juice and coffee.

“Good hotel with rude managers”

The hotel Paradise is one of the best in Santorini(we stayed in 3 Hotels in Kamari, Parissa & Akrotiri). The main problem is the manners of the Manger and his wife and the way they speak to the customers. From first day we felt as we are in the military camp. We paid money to feel relaxed in the hotel and enjoy our holiday, but the way they treat us we did not wanted to speak to them again. Last day we had our boat to Athens at 1pm and asked the lady in charge if it as ok to stay in our room 30 minute longer. Although the hotel was half empty and nobody would check in to that room, they make us to get out and wait outside. I am not sure who wrote the other 3 rewiews, but our experience is that if you don't want to spoil your holiday because of rude manners of it's staff, it is better to choose other hotel with less facilities but with welcoming hosts.

“Good Hotel”

The hotel staff are lovely, it's a 3star hotel and worth it's stars. The hotel itself is beautiful, lovely surroundings, and quiet. In a quieter part of the island, you will need to get a rental car to get around. Or you can take the bus which goes to Thira, the main city a few times a day. The negatives were some dated towels, grey and hard; breakfast was very samey, basic, and not changed up, and some bits a little dated. But overall we were happy with our hotel choice, the positives outweighed the negatives :)

“I am not sure if I will recommend this hotel”

The place is nice and clean but they "for sure" need new towels they are either old or very bad quality.....

“Brittle towels”

Just got back from Santorini. The hotel is in a quiet/non-touristy part of the island. Within 20 min+ walking distance to beaches. Hotel is very clean and staff is friendly in helping to arrange activities and transportation. Our main complaint was that the beds were hard (told they were "anotomic" by staff) and towels were so brittle that when used by guests they tore very easily. We were charged 5 Euro after spending almost 1,000 Euro total for our accomodations! This did not go over well with my travel group. The breakfast was the poorest we had in all of Greece...guess I just picked the right hotels on the first two islands. The female older staff complained that we dirtied the towels; we were not to use the towels at the pool...she even complained that she could not keep staff at her hotel...probably because she complained too much. This is the first review I have ever written for a hotel...I have stayed in many around the world. The reason I decided to write this one is because of how the 10 of us were treated when one over bleached-brittle towel got ripped. It left us feeling like we would never go back. Hope the 5 Euros and the arguments that followed was worth this negative publicity. Be sure to rent a car...makes Santorini much easier to enjoy:-) There are a couple great restaurants within 10 ft of the hotel. Good Luck!

“Place to avoid”

As a loyal returning customer to Best Western chain hotels, We were used to a certain level of services that are inexistant in this hotel. The hotel location is not convenient at all, being at the other end of the island, and having nothing to do in the neighbourhood. Breakfast is poor, and the Management is so strict that they refused us to have it outside ! Concerning the room, do not pay any extra for a view, as there is NO view at all that is worth paying for. The room was clean, very tiny shower, but unbearable bad smell coming out of the sink, we had to leave our windows open all the stay. Besides all this, there was no room service, and we didn't even have a phone in our room...

“Not impressed”

Very far for the major city, rude service, unlike many other hotel they don't have driver service at the port which will cost you extra 30 Euro just to get there.
