SCAD day

I stated at this hotel for a SCAD with my daughter who was recently accepted to SCAD. The hotel was very centrally located. My ex husband reserved the hotel thru expedia. The hotel was wonderful, except check in was a bit difficult because my ex husband was paying for the hotel and the rate he got thru expedia was not the rate the hotel actually was. But all in all the staff was extremely pleasant, outeous, and very helpful. I loved having the valet service. Also the rooms were very clean and beautiful.

Good location but poor service!

Pros: Location and comfortable beds
Cons: Housekeeping and front desk service.
Location: City parks, historic squares, restaurants and not too far to the riverfront
First, our room was not ready until 6 pm when there was a posted 4 pm check in time. Next, we had received no housekeeping service after being gone all day after our 1st night's stay. And last, after waiting 20 minutes for the valet to bring around our car after checking out, they brought us the wrong car and seemed a little baffled when I said that's not our car. I had the correct claim ticket but somehow they had shuffled up keys and tickets. In all fairness, I did receive some apologies but not for the delay in checking us in.

This is a great location for us! Visitor Center was across the street where we bought our self guided walking tour pamphlet to start our walk about. We were anxious to see the square where Forrest Gump sat on a bench, and was pleasantly surprise that it was close by (0.5 mile walk). Our reservation came with breakfast. I would have to say that coming downstairs early in the morning for breakfast was a delightful experience with the ladies kindly greeting you. Our day started with a warm greeting, a warm, and full tummy. The housekeeping staff were very friendly when we would bump into them in the hall way. Bottom line, the rooms were clean but needs a bit of TLC/updating, staff was friendly, located in the historic district, and their rates were competitive.

St. Patricks Day

Cons: The Lounge in the lobby does not have a Tavern appeal. It is much to open to entertain in.
Location: The Crystal Bar. Great tavern and food.
The room and location of the hotel allowed us to enjoy the whole SPD experience. We'll probably be there again in 2016.

I plan on staying again and bringing the rest of the family. The city and hotel was beautiful. We got a corner room with fantastic views. Beautiful! Convenient to all sites and fantastic dining options close.

Great location.

Within walking distance to pretty much anything. Very clean hotel, looked great, and (mandatory) valet parking, but it was convenient.

Nice hotel with a terrific location

Pros: It was comfortable, but what I liked most was location, location, location.
Cons: The food wasn't the best and the valet parking fee could've been a bit more reasonable.
Location: It is directly across the street from where a lot of the tour buses and trolleys are caught. Also very close to River St and other main attractions.
My fiance and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott for Valentines weekend in Historic/ Downtown Savannah. This is an awesome location, very close to the river and other hot spots in Savannah. We practically had our car parked for most of the weekend and walked to everything or caught the pedicab.
