Simply Perfect.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary this year and wanted to get away for a few days to rest and re-charge. This cabin was simply perfect. It was fully stocked, and then some; plenty of towels and other linens. The floorplan was so nice, even though we pretty much only used the first floor. The view....breathtaking! Having the hot tub on the back deck was definitely a plus! The decor is super cute and everything was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. I would certainly consider booking again and bringing our kiddos along. I have no constructive suggestions for improvement; but I will add that it's about 30 minutes outside of Pigeon Forge, so planning ahead for travel is suggested. Also, we drove our Jeep because of the small, winding roads up the mountain; and heads up....the driveway is pretty steep! I highly recommend this property! Again, simply perfect.

Wonderful autumn getaway
The property was clean and nicely stocked. There was an abundance of towels, the kitchen was fairly well-equipped, and the bathrooms were spotless. The only thing lacking was extra blankets. The only one available in our room had a questionable stain on it and was much too large to wash in the apartment-sized washer in the cabin. Highly recommend this cabin.

**STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!**
An absolute nightmare! Upon arrival we couldnt help but notice the deer flies and centipedes! We killed 30+ within the first 3 hours! Owner said she could refund or send pest control out the next day. Decided to give pest control a chance- returned 12 hours later to centipedes very much alive! Flies were just gross! 7 year old daughter had bites on her arms and hands the next morning- checked out a day early- went to urgent care doc said " due to the patterns of the bites, it's bedbugs. She was the only one that slept on futon. Owner said pest control didnt see any live insects. Must be blind! Daughter prescribed 4 meds to help heal! Owner texts " we take your accusations seriously and we do not have bedbugs" blah blah blah. It's not accusations it's facts! I was told by her to "just contact Evolve as they have your funds." They only refunded three hundred thirty four bucks for "day not stayed". I should be grateful but only adds insult to injury and fuels my anger! No place that's three hundred/night should be infested with any kind of bugs, mountains or not! We paid eleven hundred dollars for a place that we couldn't even relax in! VRBO is investigating this as pictures and video's were sent as well as reviews on every social media outlet that I could find! I hope that we washed everything and may be lucky enough to have not brought bedbugs or any bugs for that matter into our home! I pray that no other family has to endure what my family had to by staying at this property! Note to owner and Evolve: Lisa, do NOT insult me by denying the events and facts in this review! Accept the criticism, fix the infestation and go on!

Hi Carrie, we always appreciate hearing from our guests, but the homeowner would like to take a moment to clarify a few things raised in your review: - We have ongoing pest control at the cabin that protects the property from any sort of issues with pests. Due to our location in the mountains, guests should expect a certain degree of bugs, but never an infestation in the home. We've never had issues with pests with our other travelers, and specifically asked the subsequent guests if they experienced any issues, but none were reported. - We took these claims seriously as soon as they were brought to our attention and had the home inspected for bed bugs. None were found, and this official report was sent to Evolve. Furthermore, our cleaning team did not report any excessive amounts of flies or centipedes in the home or around the property. Per video footage, it appeared as though these guests left doors to the home open for over 30 minutes during their stay which would cause pest to enter the home. - The cabin has been rented daily since this stay and no pest issues have been reported. - We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and, as evidenced by our other reviews, go above and beyond for our guests. We look forward to this property hosting many satisfied travelers.

Great cabin great location
Great cabin great location. Outstanding views and a great cabin. Definitely take into consideration when they say the roads are narrow and uphill. After a couple trips going up and down it became a little bit easier. The first trip up was a little nerve-racking. The only thing that I can say that was a small negative is the comfort of the mattresses. They could definitely use an upgrade in the future. Overall it’s a great value for the money and a great location just a few minutes from everything in a quiet mountain neighborhood.

Beautiful Home!
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful mountain cabin! Before we booked I read a lot of reviews, so I feel it’s only fitting that I write one after our stay. We experienced quick and helpful response from the owners prior to our arrival and throughout our stay. The home is in a gated community with a community center (with pool, basketball/tennis court). The road up is a very normal mountain road - steep and windy - but nothing too difficult to drive. The driveway up to the house is probably the steepest part, but it flattens at the top with two parking spots AT the house and another down below. We had everything we needed inside the perfectly clean cabin. The bathrooms are beautiful and the downstairs bathroom has a big jacuzzi tub! The only complaint from any of us was the beds are VERY firm. We loved our stay and look forward to the next adventure in the Smokey Mountains!

Pros Has an amazing view of the mountains. The cabin has all the amenities needed to be comfortable without bringing any supplies from home. Sitting in the hot tub while watching the sunset in the mountain view was amazing. Showers were excellent. Extra blankets in the closest came in handy. The roku has a bunch of apps that were usable to watch TV shows. Pool table was excellent. The gated entry was nice. The employee were friendly. We did see a bear crossing the street. Washer and dryer worked without any issues. Cons The beds were uncomfortable to the point we had to go an purchase air mattresses to sleep comfortably. The beds are extremely firm without any softness. We tried all 3 pull out beds and they were also very uncomfortable. The bed in couch in the livingroom needs the mattress replaced. You can feel the bars going into your back as your laying on it. There was a plug in by the biggest window in the bedroom on the main level that wouldn't work when I tried plugging a charger into. The front porch light would flicker on and off on the main balcony. It wouldn't stay on or sometimes it wouldn't come on at all. The hot tub we noticed was not level. The water was higher on one side of the hot top than the other so it sorta made us nervous about being on the balcony. There were a few boards on the balcony floor that where very weak when stepped on. It was a feeling of being scared to fall through. The driveway to the cabin was extremely steep and we wasn't warned about how steep it was. Being someone from the city this was definitely a eye opener. There were 2 sharp turns going up a steep road going to the cabin. Which is something we sorta expected but it wasn't advertised so for someone who has never been to the mountains would probably have an issue. Going up the driveway is not for lower vehicles. Your vehicle will drag or has a high chance of dragging the ground going up. Air/heating is controlled by owners. It's in a locked box. You have to text/call them to turn the heat/air up and down. Which wasn't the biggest deal. But it was an inconvenience. I understand why they have control of it. It would make sense for them to have it for off season when noones uo there. But the lock box i felt was inconvenience. When you stay at places typically you have free range of the heating/cooling system to a certain extent. The fireplace in the livingroom is for looks only. It is not usable. Or atleast it wouldn't work for us.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - The listing and the pre-stay email include detailed information on the drive to the cabin stating the conditions of the roads - The fireplace functions well and is turned off by maintenance and you were accommodated once they turned off for the season - The thermostat is kept locked to control the electricity and we ask guests to text us the thermostat preference to accommodate their comfort level - The front door porch light has a sensor on it and we will definitely address the issue. We were unaware of the bedroom plug-in and will have maintenance inspect the outlet - Rest assured the hot tub is stable and secure. We have reinforced this deck for the weight of the tub by adding additional posts. We recently had major work done on the deck, replaced all compromised boards, and reinforced the underpinning of all areas of the deck. To maintain safety, we will have maintenance inspect the deck for the safety of future guests - We appreciate you letting us know about the mattress. While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

Enjoyed our stay, nice cabin, well stocked (towels/cooking utensils, etc.), bathrooms are the nicest of any cabin yet (remodeled), loved the hot tub on the front porch, owners were very responsive, nice view. Head the driving comments, road in the resort is challenging at best and the driveway from the road to cabin is straight up (would not want to do it with ice or snow). Otherwise, very nice cabin

Great Mini Vacation for the Family
This place was amazing for our mini family vacation. You definitely have to be adventurous to travel up the mountain to reach the house, but I quickly learned to navigate the mountains! Our host was also amazing! I did have a couple of questions that she answered immediately, and all was well! We are already planning our next Girl’s Trip here!!!!

High rise.
The cabin was just as it was advertised. The views are literally worth the drive up. When people say the driveway was steep is an understatement. The curves getting to the cabin on some spots were very sharp. But it’s worth it. We had a little issues with water being backwards but once we figured it out it was good. My kids enjoyed the pool table. There was only one useable stick but they managed. The beds are a bit hard so do yourself a favor and bring or go buy a mattress pad. It helped us out. Yay Walmart. Cabin was very cozy and the decorations were really cute. Thanks for great stay.

Beautiful views off the balconies! Short drives to the attractions. So many activities! Owners are very nice! Everything was functional. I will say it is very steep climbs to get up to the cabin including the driveway.. our old mini van got quite the workout, make sure your vehicle can handle the climbs (this should be expected of most cabin properties in the area).

We absolutely loved everything about this property! It was perfect for our family of 5. The hot tub heated up quickly and was so nice to relax in at the end of our day. The drive way is steep so make sure you bring a vehicle with some power, but we managed fine in our mini van. The place was clean and set up well when we arrived, and there was plenty of kitchen gear and towels for our whole stay! The smart TVs were great during rainy spells, and the views are unbeatable!

Overall very good and enjoyed our stay. You feel very safe and secure as there is a guard at the entrance at all times to verify people should be coming into the neighborhood. Looked like some construction/repairs were being done outside so appearance could have been better but inside was very nice, comfortable and a good fit for our family. A couple of quirks that some people may not care for but didn't bother us were thermostat is controlled by owners (they respond quickly) and there are cameras outside. Kids really enjoyed the Christmas decor inside. Very nice touch.

Our recent stay was phenomenal! The cabin is about 2.2 miles up the mountain with a spectacular scenic view. For anyone not used to the mountain roads, it can be a bit intimidating but we got the hang of it pretty quick. The Mountain View from the cabin balcony was stunning. The hot tub was a big plus. The driveway was quite steep but manageable. The cabin included all the necessary cooking utensils. The owner was very easy to work with and check in/out was a breeze. Prime location for serenity and relaxing but still close to all of the nearby attractions. We had a blast. Would highly recommend this cabin and would love to go back.

Wonderful Getaway for fall break
We thoroughly enjoyed our fall break vacation. We had read that the road up to the house was a treacherous climb. It was steep, however, it was very doable and well worth it. The views were amazing and we thought the house was beautiful We loved all the bear themed decor. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. There was not anything that was missing. The bathrooms were updated and everything was very clean. The only negative was that the gas logs were not turned on in the fireplace. I did communicate with the owner about this and she was going to try to get this fixed before we left but I never heard back from her. It had been hot the week before so I certainly understand why they were not turned on yet for the fall and winter months. We did have a little bit of a problem with the hot tub heating and had to communicate with the owner about this. We eventually realized that the setting that it was on was preventing it from heating up. Once we got it in the right setting, it was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, it was an outstanding experience and I would definitely recommend it. I would certainly stay there again as well !

The property was great. Beautiful view. Outside jacuzzi did not get hot. Outside porch lights that were mounted for the back porch did not work. Called and was directed to reset timer but that only went to the string lights around balcony. Wasn’t a huge issue but definitely something that needs fixed. Everything else was great.

1- It is not easily accessible by any vehicle. There are tight turns and it is very steep. 2- Property owner responded quickly to problems BUT things were not handled quickly. We lost a/c on day 2 and spent the rest of our trip in 80-87 degree heat at the house. We are lucky we were only there in the evenings. 3- Very close to plenty of fun things for our kids to do and see. 4- Kids enjoyed the hot tub!

The overall experience was lovely! It's not too far from the main tourist atteactions but still has the quiet serenity that we love. The owners responded quickly and willing to answer our questions. I wish we could've stayed longer. If you can take 4 wheel drive because of course the mountain is pretty steep but thats was expected with the location and amazing view.

Mothers Day get away for our 4 generations
The view was spectacular and the cabin was very nice. Sadly it rained pretty much all 2 days we were here which made shopping a great challenge. But we persevered!!! I did make contact with the owner about a problem and she was very responsive which shows she really cares about her guests and their stay. Caution to anyone who rents cabin in these mountains....these driveways are very steep, some very, very steep. Make sure you have good tires and all wheel drive is a bonus! Our group consisted of ages from 28 to 90 and one evening we had to walk up the hill to our cabin....it was a struggle. No stairs and no railing in the landscape to help us with the climb. But we did accomplish it! P.S. We did not see George, but pretty much believe we heard him near the cabin one night. :-)

Smell of mothballs
The cabin was beautiful and the views were as described. The overbearing smell of mothballs proved to be more than we could live with. The master bedroom mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows poor quality. We checked out of the cabin two days early due to the mothball smell. Our clothes left in our luggage even smelled like mothballs when we arrived home.

Great price for a great view!! Definately recommend!
For starters, the drive up is in fact brutal and a bit scary and nauseous as others say but hey, it's the mountains and it's why you come here. to be up high. The cabin is beautiful and is fully equipped. The views are amazing! There was 6 of us in total and all slept well, while we would recommend new mattresses in the upper room. Wifi is a bit slow but you are on vacation so it shouldn't be too important. Kitchen is fully stocked, baths were too. House was very clean and neat. Owner Lisa was very responsive and even adjusted the A/C remotely to suit our needs. Pool table up stairs is a little bit tight and needs to be leveled out. Jacuzzi on the deck was perfect and will be missed. The pool down at the bottom of the mountain is solely for those in rental cabins, it was nice ( and very cold). Bears WILL COME snoop around at night and in fact caused a ruckus on our first night there, dragging our 2 empty coolers into the wooded area behind the cottage. DO NOT LEAVE anything outside that you dont want damaged. Lock cars too as they will get in if food exists. The drive to Pigeon Forge is approximately 25 minutes and about 45 total to Gatlinburg. We went to Clingmans Dome (beautiful) and hiked Rainbow Falls. It was a tough 6 mile hike round trip but the falls were beautiful and seeing bears was breathtaking yet scary. This trip was amazing and we would return in a heartbeat. All in all it's one of our best trips yet! Thank you Lisa for having such a great property.
