“1st class western style hotel”
First time to China; this place was superb in all respects, and extremely good value.
“Decent for price and good location”
Nice clean and convenient location hotel Although Swissotel is better. Hilton is nicer which is next door but Hilton is more expensive A little road noise through windows and A/C is not very cold. But good service and nice clean big room Internet is expensive however.
“ShanghaiF1”
This hotel is in a central location and close to many attractions. The hotel staff is very helpful and responsive. The room was of good size with all amenities. I will stay at this hotel again and do recommend it.
“Great Shanghai Hotel”
This hotel is great. there service is alsways good, and it is well located to the metro and close to good shopping. highly recommend it for tourist and business stays
“Best deal in Shanghai”
I have stayed at the Equatorial Hotel many times over the past 10 years and have found the hotel to offer everything I am looking for in a Hotel. Among other things they are constantly ahead of the curve, upgrading and replacing ahead of anyone noticing that it is a time for upgrade.
“best Hotel in Shanghai?”
This hotel is close to the subway, always excellent service, I have stayed maybe 10 times now and it is consistently great. Staff are always friendly and helpful, those guys on the door will hail you a cab in a jiffy!
“Good location but unfriendly staff”
The Equatorial is a good option due to its excellent location and fair price. However, the reception staff are not exactly all smiles. In a rough city like Shanghai, one would have welcomed a bit more of warmth when getting 'home'. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is overpriced, subway is 3 min away and you can get easily to all major city highlights. I don't regret having stayed there, but I might look for something else next time.
“good enough”
Although it is not a five-star hotel like the Hilton next door, but it is good enough for the price. Love the location.
“Highly recommended”
Great location. Exceptional service. Rooms are huge. Extremely good value for money.
