Always good but the checkin was a little slow because one room was cleaning when I asked the hotel staff. She told me to come after 1pm when I arrived at 11:30am, then I came to hotel again around 12:50pm to checkin, she said the room was not ready yet and asked me to wait another 20 minutes. Except above, everything is good.

A disaster
From the time we checked in to this hotel we had problems. They did not have any town cars for us to rent for the day; as they mentioned on their website. When we did get to our room the AC was not working so, there was a technician in our room for 3 hours and that was at 8.30pm!!! We just landed in Shanghai and had the tech in our room for three hours. Then the next morning we realized that the safe was not opening or closing for us so we had to call front desk. This time it took another two hours before we told them that we did not want to spend more time in the room to get this fixed. So, the whole time we were staying at this hotel we did not have a safe to put our passports away. The room was not as nice as it is on their website, it is a little run down. My husband and I would not recommend this hotel to anybody we know. It was a disaster it ruined our vacation.

I have stayed at One suite for several times now. It is a nice apartment style hotel with large suites. Location is perfect for us. Close to several subway lines and there is a mall nearby which just opened recently. So plenty of choices for restaurants. However, the rooms are getting a little dated. Need some maintenance and updating. For some reason, there is no air conditioning in the hallway, but room air conditioner works well. All in all we had a good stay.

We wanted to cancel at least the last day out of our 3-day reservation if we couldn't cancel two nights after staying there for the first night; but we were told that we wouldn't be able to receive any refund if we chose to cancel.

Better than a hotel - it's an apartment
Everything was great (being able to wash clothes in the rooms washer dryer combo was awesome). Excellent English speaking staff. Only issue was that I broke a glass and when they sent someone to clean it up they didn't do a very good job (there was still dangerous pieces around, not a very thorough job). But since I broke the glass in the first place I really can't complain too much :)

Fantastic in all ways
We had a 4 day stay in the One exec Art Deco suite and found it to be a haven in the midst of this hectic city. The suite was so comfortable, well equipped, stylish and we would definitely stay there again and recommend to all. The staff were unobtrusive but there when needed and the reception manager Lucas Vogel was exceptional in his help when our flight cancelled at the last minute. Great location, very close to metro and everything you could need. We had a fabulous time.

It is located in CBD and lots of restaurants around. The hotel staffs are nice and helpful. The room layout is good, but it is a little bit worn out. The hotel rate is relatively high for this quality.

The room size is good, value for the money. Service is okay, but not exactly like a five star hotel. Location is a little off the main road but access is not difficult. The surrounding area used to be a little down market but recently renovated buildings next door has added a few restaurants and bars that offer a lot more choices for lunch and dinner. Trying to get a taxi is a problem though, especially at rush hours.

The property and it's location was fantastic. The rooms are totally suitable for long stays coz of the kitchenette in the room and a few departmental stores just opposite to the hotel. However, during our stay we had to get the blinds of the bathroom changes as it was dysfunctional. This should be done prior to the guest arrival.

Very well appointed room, bathroom with the addition of cooking facilities and washing machine. Comfortable, quality and very central location. 5 minute walk to Metro and West Nanjing Road Shops. Poor Internet. If you want to work and need internet facilities think about staying some where else. Slow and unreliable. I have stayed twice in two years and the internet still is disappointing. I will not stay again despite everything else.

Good business hotel
I stayed in this hotel for a week while working in our Shanghai office. I like having the extra room of a suite. Internet was very good, but of course in China you must use a VPN service in order to have any performance or to access many of the sites you want to see. Our corporate email service is based on Google so VPN is a necessity. I did not eat in the restaurant so can't comment on that. This hotel is next door to the Shanghai "fake market" so if you want knock off clothing, electronics, etc this is a great location. I have learned my lesson on most of the fake stuff but there are a number of prescription eyeglass vendors. I got a spare pair of glasses made for $65 USD and went back for a prescription set of sunglasses at the same price. I am happy with those and they were able to read my prescription from the pair I was wearing. English spoken at the front desk. Good TV selection with two english movie channels and several other english stations. Hotel is managed by Kempenski so there is a slight German tilt to things. Not a bad thing at all. I will stay here again.

Brilliant Hotel in the Centre of Shanghai
Hotel very good, 5 minutes walk to West Ningjang Metro Station, 10 minutes to People's Square Metro Station. In room WiFi good. Most staff encountered very polite. Check in took approx. 15 minutes due to the booking not showing on their systems. Room very comfortable. Gym well equipped, but the pool looks very different to what is shown (the pool itself equivalent to that of a 3 star hotel). Amazing views. Overall, definitely one of the best hotels in China (inc. Hong Kong) I have stayed.

Despite all the things this hotel does right, the most impressive is the a/c. Unlike so many hotels in China which have centralized heat in the winter and early spring, this hotel's suites have dual climate control which makes the room extremely comfortable...Excellent bedding and pillows, and the rooms are laid out very well...overall, probably my favorite hotel to stay at in China..

Overall the experience was ok however I find that the staff at the front desk in the morning was somewhat disappointing. Booked an airport transfer the evening before to leave at 7am the next morning. We went down to the lobby at 7am and waited for more than 10 minutes for the car to arrive. Spoke to the front desk staff and he was clueless of what was happening. He didn't even bother whether we were late for our flight or not. He later called the limo and spoke in mandarin. After the call, he didn't even bother updating us on the status of the car...whether we need to give another 10 minutes or explain why the car was late etc. So we continued waiting which seem forever. Finally the car arrived and he did not even come to us and tell us but expect us to know that our car has arrived. Anyway, we got in the car and goodness, the car was dirty! There was bits and pieces of groundnuts in the car and we felt it was simply unacceptable considering the price we pay for the transfer.

The room is v spacious with washing machine, iron, cooking utensils. But we can't find any hooks in the bathroom which is a little inconvenient. There is no washing powder provided. And also the heater in the room is not working too well. We were told there are two remotes for controlling the heat, one for the living n one for the bedroom. But we can only find one for the living. Overall the stay there was a good one.
