Friendly staff

Nice and clean. Staff was very welcoming. They had a list of things to do during our stay. Many things to choose from to do in the area as well. Restaurant food was delicious. I recommend this place. Beautiful site!

Old but very charming & comfortable

Posted Mar 20, 2015 on Hotels
Shawnee Inn has a lot of charm. I have never seen a "pillow menu" which was awesome. The bathrooms are a little small but the rooms are very comfortable and the common spaces (lobby, etc) are beautiful and very inviting/comfortable. The customer service was very good.

Charming but still needs a little work...

Posted Mar 16, 2015 on Hotels
I really enjoyed my stay at the Shawnee Inn, with just a couple of exceptions. This is great location, and a beautiful getaway. The food was delicious in the dining room, and our room was in excellent condition. We had a great time at the bar, and also joining in on the activities, like Archery. The things that I didn't like: Getting a room directly next to the elevator. (It was noisy and unromantic.) I also forgot my toothbrush, and that evening when I went to the desk to ask for one, they sais they did not have one, and said that the adjoining store did not have one either. I had to drive up to the General Store to pick up one the next day. That was most unusual.

Okey dokee

Hotel is aged, but clean. The employees were great. We had 2 rooms neither room had robes or towels for swimming pool. Bathroom was very dated but clean. Paid $200 per night per room. Seems more like a $100/125room.

Hotel is convenient, but not very accomodating

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Overall the room served its purpose, but the walls are very thin. The hotel was fairly empty as there were only a few cars in the lot and rather than the hotel keeping the guest spaced out they put us next to each other. As a result the people next to us were extremely disruptive. We then attempted to go to the pool with no luck, then to the game for which we had to pay to play pool. The room was not very clean and a bit run down. The bed was fairly comfortable and it was convenient for the mountain.

Nice staff, room layout is ehh

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Stayed for one night in a standard room with one king size bed. The staff was friendly and helped us with our bags upon arrival, when we entered the room I was a little taken back to the layout. The bed takes up 3/4 of the room, there is not much room to do anything but sleep (which was fine for us). The bathroom is also tiny, I would have been fine with it other than the fact that the toilet is so close to the bathtub that they are actually touching. You may be able to slide a piece of paper between them but it would be tough. It made it annoying when taking a shower, had to place the curtain a certain way to make sure the floor didn't get soaked. The room was clean for the most part but definitely not the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Bed was also very comfortable. The room overall was probably not a great value for what we paid for one night ($200). Other than that everything was good, breakfast was a little overpriced (15$ standard buffet) but not bad. Restaurant staff was friendly as well. If you need a room just for sleeping the day before a ski trip the standard room should be ok but if you are staying more than 1 night I would recommend the bigger room.

We LOVED it!!

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Dining was delicious, bed was so comfortable. Staff was great. Pool was clean I'm not a pool person but found myself in the water for 2 1/2 hours. Nothing bad to say. Only thing I would advise against would be a room close to the elevator and the headboard against the hall wall. (You could hear everything from the elevator to screaming children) but everything else was fantastic!! Definite do again!

Expedia Hotels

It seems as though when you reserve a room thru expedia and not the hotel directly, you get the bottom of the barrel rooms. Other guest rooms in our price range were more upscale, with better amenities, and better decor.

nice hotel close to mountain

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: close to the Shawnee Mountain and other activities. Nice view from room. Restaurant and lounge. Very peaceful.
Location: Shawnee Inn was used only for one night to go skiing at Shawnee Mountain. Would love to stay longer next time.
nice rooms, great staff, great breakfast selections. Everything was clean. For the price everything was perfect.
