AVOID STAYING HERE!! I got stolen all my cash from my room, where only me and my partner were staying and was locked at all times. Staff won’t take responsibility, even though they are the only ones with access to the rooms when locked. Worst experience so far regarding accomodation.

Our rooms, bathroom, place are bad or not clean and not comfortable, we accept on it, we know already, we are not 5 stars hostel, so we cannot provide excellent service and perfect stay to travelers. Anyway If you stay at 5 stars hotel or 10 stars hotel, you know, all your money in your hand or in your pocket, no one know how much you have, and you must take care it by yourself to be safe. And all the hotels, hostels and guesthouses, they will provide free SAFETY BOX SERVICE at reception, Why you do not keep it there? I enjoyed and loved my stay in this hostel during my travelling in Siem Reap. The atmosphere was great for relaxing with free coffee and tea 24 hours at the restaurant in front of the hostel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful, they kept and cared for me like their family. The Angkor Wat tours and bus tickets arranged from the hostel were wonderful and cheap price. Really great location, so closed to markets, banks, restaurants and Pub Street. I will recommend this place to my family, friends and travelers in the world.

I stayed at this hostel for two nights. Really great place to stay for visiting Angkor Wat and other temples. The hostel is in a great location, just a short walk from Central Market, Night Market, restaurants and Pub Street area. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The staff is so kind, polite, friendly and helpful, they help to arrange a bus ticket to Bangkok, Angkor Wat Tours and Floating Village with reasonable price. The hostel also provide free bus or airport pickup, free breakfast, coffee, tea and Wifi. Very great value for the money. Strongly recommend this hostel to all budget travelers.

All the people are polite, kind, helpful and friendly. You can get almost everything you want. Free good breakfast, free pickup service, nice sleep, clean room, great location. I loved this place. If I return to Siem Reap again, I will choose this hostel again. And I will recommend to my friends and travellers.

Lovely homestay in Siem Reap!
I loved this place so much during travelling around Southeast Asia. I send an email ahead for a free pick-up from the airport, They helped arrange on for me, the front desk staff arranged an English Speaking tour guide with tuk-tuk for the Temples of Angkor Wat, was very cheap price. My room was large, clean, and air conditioning worked well with free wifi. Free Safe deposit box at the reception 24 hours, free coffee, tea and breakfast were wonderful. Great location for walking distance to Night Market, bars and restaurants. The hostel is a great value for the money. Strongly recommended!!

Best hostel with lowest price!!
This place provided me with such a warm welcoming to Siem Reap, all of the staff are extremely helpful and informative, excellent service, and really reasonable prices. The rooms were clean and comfortable. This hostel is centrally located, within a very short walk to the night market, old market, pub street, super markets, banks etc. however, it remains peaceful and quite during the night and in mornings. This hostel, for me, was the perfect place. The owner is a young Khmer lady and she has an amazing story to tell, this is a locally owned family run buisness. The experience was so authentic and pleasant. Every guest I spoke with was also very pleased with their stay here. I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone.

This guesthouse is an excellent place for its ambience, very friendly and helpful staff and for its cleanliness. It's located near Central Market, Old Market, Night Market, Pub Street and, making it a convenient option for shopping, eating and easy to night party at Funky Flashpackers. They have free Wifi 24hours, breakfast, tea and coffee 24 hours, also free 24 hours safety box at the reception, so we can have peace of mind regarding your valuables. The rooms are large and cozy enough. The staff make you feel at home with their ever friendly and warm smiles. They arrange your tuk tuk travels as well and our tuk tuk driver was a very patient, sweet person, and cheap price. Overall our stay here was perfect. Great value for money, Great location!
We stayed at this place for three nights during our trip in Southeast Asia. The location is great, short walk to the center of town and places to eat and drink. The rooms are simple, but very clean and have air con and a fan. The staffs were very friendly, polite and helpful. When considering this place you have to remember that it is only US$6 per night, I have no problems giving 5 stars based on what I get for the money. Breakfast, tea and coffeed were included, and there are free bananas to help yourself to all day. We also had a pick up at the airport included in out rate. The guy was there, nice and visible and it was a great way to start the holiday riding in a tuk tuk into town. We loved here, and Thank for all. Highly recommend.

Camera and cables were stolen from my locked room by the hotel staff. All of the items were on my bedside table. The tourist police said this is the third similar complaint about this lodge in the last 6 weeks. All of the rooms were locked and things were stolen while guests were out. There is no daily housekeeping, so there is no need for them to enter at all. They also have bed bugs if the theft doesn't concern you.

Dear Value guests/Visitors, We are so unhappy while we see this bad review or terrible problem on our hostel. We would like to say sorry for everything during your staying with us. NOW WE SHOULD FIND OUT TOGETHER. Every value guests arrive in our place, we always tell them or provide some information at our place, especially SAFETY BOX SERVICE, we have free and accept 24 hours. Anyway we help them to Police Office to analyze about this thing, and police say that, Why can you know the staff (receptionist) in the hostel? Do you know their face or see their face? And they said NO and NO. Please all value guests/visitors help to analyze this thing. If they/you have money, why do they/you DO NOT KEEP with us (receptionist) to be safe while you know all information? If they/you lose will pay 100% you back. But you always keep by yourself, to go anywhere, and sometime got drunks, and lose somewhere and finish their/your budget with something. And then everything fall down or look down the mistake to the hostel and will got money back, or need offer free staying, free lunch/dinner time, or free bus ticket to somewhere. Maybe all of these are reason. We knew this rule, while we went to the police office last month. They always use the same style and same story. However these are not all travelers. Totally, Value guests still Value guests.

The Palm Garden Lodge was just fine! My partner and I stayed four nights in February 2018. It wasn't quite like the pictures but the room was huge. The staff were friendly and the common seating area was nice to have. The breakfast was good considering it was free. You get a choice of two eggs scrambled, fried, or omelette style with two pieces of white toast. Our bathroom didn't have walls that went all the way to the ceiling in our room so If privacy from your room mate is very important to you, you might not like that.

Very disappointed
For the pice we paid, we didn't expect too much. However, what we saw after we entered the room was beyond belief. Filth everywhere! The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. The toilet and sink being the areas of main concern. The bedroom wall was covered with unidentifiable stains. The curtains were very dirty. Big pockets of dirt in corners if the room. The services and amenities advertised were not provided. For example, no daily housekeeping, minibar, free bottles of water, bathrobes or slippers. Concierge services??? Only one member of staff had a very basic English comprehension. Even 'so called' manager did not speak any English. It made it difficult to organise any sort of tours or bike rentals that the reception advertise. When we tried to enquire, we were told to find them 'in the street'. Same rule applied to the laundry. Basically the most common answer you got was 'I don't know'. In eleven years travelling in Asia, this was by far the worst place we stayed in and I don't think it's good enough to be advertised on hotels.com. Unfortunately, due to our travel arrangements, we did not have the flexibility to change for an alternative accommodation.

Great value
Private room/bathroom, great wifi, and a nice breakfast make this place a great value. The shower is cold and the look of the room and the bathroom are old and rusted. For example, the toilet looks dirty, but it is just rust in the bowl. If you are staying for a couple of days, you can have your room cleaned by request. I am a budget traveler and found this place to be a pleasing option for the area. There are local food stall options and small stores for buying water and snacks just outside the door of the hotel. There are 2 supermarkets 10 minutes (walking) from the hotel. The big night market and pub street is a 15-20 minute walk away. Tuk-tuk drivers, bike hires, and tour operators are just outside of the hotel. Also, hot water is always available (great for making hot drinks/soups/oatmeal). I would only recommend this place to those who are true budget travelers/ backpackers. Lastly, this place is relaxing and not too noisy, like some hostels or places that blast music all day.

It was a lovely place. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was toast and eggs to order. The people never actually changed the bedding or pillow cases. They gave you fresh towels and put the sheet back on your bed nicely and called it clean. The water had a very metallic smell and the shower was cold. But for what you pay for it was very worth it. The night market was minutes away by walking. Mosquitoes get terrible at night tho.

We stayed 5 nights in here, the service in this hotel is very good, thumbs up! We arrived around 5:30am, picked up at the bus station for free, and was checked in immediately after our arrival regardless of the 2pm check in rule. We had breakfast in their restaurant on our first day and the food is free and very good. The room is adequate and comfortable sleep. One more thing, our flight back to Bangkok is at night and we were asked to check out early because they were fully booked, however we were also offered a room to freshen up before our flight since we came on a tour that day. Thank for your good services!!!

It was great... total comfort and convenience but most of all, the staff were all so nice and warm. they did their best to accommodate us with their limited english. It was fun. It would be nice if they also get brochures of various institutions, cultural areas, restos for easy reference of their guests. The availability of the tuk-tuk meant a lot to us... Arrived at hotel, the twin room we booked wasn't available and we were offered a double for 1 night with promise of twin room the next day. Room had filthy bathroom and sheets looked like they had been used, and we both couldn't stop itching. Decided to leave and was told no refunds for any of the other 3 nights we had booked, even though what we booked we did not get. Staff were polite and tried their best. But wasn't worth the unpleasantness of the room, and we left.

Terribly disappointed. Paid for 3 nights and thought I had gotten a real bargain. But I was wrong. First, check in room given was only ready a few hours after stated time, followed by no water in the initial room given. Had to request for a place with running water although clearly that room looks way cheaper than the one I booked (no TV etc.) Could not sleep at all for the first 2 nights, the place was very noisy. If you love noise, this is the best place for you. There was clearly communication breakdown so I just left after 2 nights and went to a place at 5 times the cost. And thankfully I was able to get a good rest. The trouble to deal with this last minute was really a pain but it would be a good lesson learnt. If you just wanna explore Siem Reap on a budget, do not mind having no showers, love the loud noise at night while trying to get some sleep on a hard bed. You've got it!

I LOVED this place, but...
I absolutely LOVED Palm Garden Lodge. The staff were so kind and helpful. The free breakfast was delicious and filling (eggs and toast or noodle soup with egg), coffee and tea were available all day, and the courtyard is breezy, and social. Unfortunately, my husband got devoured by BEDBUGS one night. We were in two, different rooms during our stay, and in both rooms slept in separate beds because they only had twin rooms available. Anyway, that's how I know it was Palm Garden because he got bitten and I didn't, not once. Honestly, I would stay here again, I would just take care to carefully inspect the bed, frame, bedding and environs. Otherwise, I would have given this place a perfect score!

I enjoyed my stay. However I am hesitant to suggest this hotel to others. I had a bad incident with a tuk tuk driver on the hotels property and they did nothing about it. I stayed for 3 nights in here, it’s not the best one, but it’s good enough for money payment. Service here was fantastic, we had a few issues with our Vietnamese visa's the staff here helped us out no end without any pressure to buy anything. The room was clean and tidy. Best thing was free pickup form the port, and the boat delayed from afternoon until evening, but the driver still waited to pick us up. Recommended by a friend, I booked ahead of time and friendly staffs reply the email and arranged for a tuk tuk to pick me up at the airport for free. The staffs are excellent, arranging a tuktuk driver to take me to the temples the next day (and a cheap one too- not once did they overcharge). The free breakfast was delicious and coffee/tea 24 hours. The rooms are very spacious and clean. STAY HERE! My stay at this guesthouse was amazing. The staff was amazing from the moment, we were picked up at the airport by tuktuk with driver Mr.Ya, all the way till the time we left. “Great Homestay in Siem Reap”
We arrived late evening and our free airport pick up (tuktuk) was already available with Mr. Vung, the assigned friendly driver, holding a welcome sign. It took around 15 minutes to get to guesthouse from Siem Reap Airport. LOCATION: It’s in an inner most part of a street adjacent to the main road where Pub Street and Night Market are located. It is relatively safe to walk at night coming from Pub Street and Night market/souvenir shops. Tuktuk rides are available anywhere in the area but we preferred to walk back. ROOMS: We specifically requested for a room on the ground floor before booking but we still ended up getting a room on the 2nd Floor which is quite a challenge due to a back pain. Stairs are steep and has no elevator. The room we had was Ok and clean, it’s has a lot of traditional Cambodian designs, the beds were comfortable too. (The pictures are accurate) Bathroom is not updated but clean and functional with towels, toothbrush, small toothpaste, liquid soap and shampoo. They change towels and clean the room everyday. Breakfast was great and free. We also arranged our Temple Tour with guesthouse, it’s cheaper than outside. They also arranged an English speaking tour guide for us. Do email them earlier, they have an available itinerary and price for tours and they answer emails quick. People at guesthouse are helpful but make sure you understand each other for special instructions. Wifi is good, nice garden and all the Free stuff are wonderful for the price we paid.

Do not recommend
I had booked this place for four nights, but only stayed one (because we arrived at midnight) and moved to another hotel the next morning. The amenities listed were not offered (slippers, robe, desk, minibar). The room was very hot and stuffy with a ceiling fan that does nothing. No air conditioning. It clearly needs renovation. The pictures are misleading.

The staff seemed nice at first but...
The staff seemed nice at first but when one of a hotel staff took us for a tuk tuk tour to a full day Angkor Wat, I was appalled how much extra money he wanted make even we are paid a full price for the tour and we are official guests of the hotel. He took us to a breakfast place inside Angkor area because he said "he knows a good place" but it was an over priced place where he could get some commission from. Then he said he wants $5 to visit ONE extra temple. We didn't know the famous temple was not included because it's on the way. We decided to pay, but then he had to go to his evening shift at the hotel and wanted us to stay there not more than an hour. The hotel was okay, hot shower and mosquito nets, free tea and coffee, however, the room was full of ants. I would have rated this place higher,if the hotel didn't act like a tuk tuk driver who wants to rip you off. I consider hotel staff are people who are on the guest side and the hotel is a rip off free zone. But a bike rental, which some site says as free is not, 2.50 USD a day but outside 2 or even 1 USD. It was a big disappointment.

SHORT STAY IN SIEM REAP
This family run hotel was suggested by my daughter and is more of a backpacker hotel. The staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. There is a free pick up at the hotel by tuktuk which is a great way to start the holiday. For a few dollars a night we had airconditioning, clean towels daily and eggs with fried bread for breakfast. It is a short walk to the restaurants and markets whereas the big chain hotels are some distance out

Simple, Clean, Affordable, Friendly Place
My recent stay here was a very pleasant and back to simplicity experience. Its a simple place with a big room, fan and shower. very affordable and safe location. Only issue i had, the roads were very dusty, but its everywhere due to poor roads and also the heat. Ensure to have face mask, for me the driver was very nice as he will have new mask for me everyday. The Driver speaks very little English but very helpful guy. I had issues with my pick-up service on day of arrival as there was communication issue between the hotel and the arrangement I made with Expedia. Ensure to get confirmation from the hotel directly. nevertheless the airport transfer only cost $7. Room offered didn't have the Water heater and upon request I was changed to the new room the 2nd day. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Very accommodating to all needs. Overall the place was a good choice and I recommend it for all.
