Really nice hotel. Full of character with a lovely relaxing pool area. Lovely, friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble . Made us feel really welcome. 10-15 minutes by tuk tuk to town centre.

Very nice unit, they are extremely helpful and kind. Had my most frequent and intimate interactions with Ostanrly, Tin, and Mr. Tay the driver. The place is near perfect, absolutely spotless, they are dedicated to top service. I highly recommend it. It is located far enough away from town to be considered rural but close enough so you can walk to things. Mr. Tay is their driver and he helped me the most spending hours around town finding things I needed, waiting for me, and providing cold water and towels. These guys are highly dedicated to service. I recommend Tay as your local driver in SR, even outside the hotel. Really nice family man.

The sweetest and most helpful staff I’ve ever seen. You are treated like family elders! The hotel is small (every room has its own name) but beautifully decorated with a lot of art, and sports a nice restaurant and a lovely swimming pool in a garden setting. A place to relax.

A welcoming home after long days of tourism
If I didn't have to leave, I wouldn't! Siem reap was great but during each tour (that the hotel can help you organize) I'd be looking forward to swimming/sipping drinks in their salt waterfall pool. Being a tourist is hard work. You deserve a place like this to relax! The staff is incredible - so warm and helpful! I loved every second of my stay! And I was so so so happy I didn't stay near the chaos of pub street. This gorgeous hotel is a short tuk tuk ride from everything.

We could not be happier with our stay at Sokkhak and Siem Reap in general. The staff made everything so easy and pleasant! The rooms are clean, comfortable and the property is beautiful and quiet. It’s a quick tuk tuk to downtown, markets, pub street and Angkor wat. Honestly, the Cambodians are what make it so beyond special though. We felt like we were leaving our family and we’re so sad! If you’re looking for a unique, homey and just beautiful experience, Sokkhak is just that.

Best service of anywhere I’ve ever stayed
The service at this little hotel was impeccable. We were greeted at the airport by the manager, then driven to the hotel. From beginning to end, he and the rest of staff treated us royally. A personal welcome on the bed done in strips of palm leaves. Opening doors before we could touch them. Always friendly and helpful. The hotel is small, so they can give their guests full attention. Breakfast was wonderful. They don’t have a restaurant on site but they have sister properties that do and they can call in an order and then serve you in their dining room. That was a good open when we didn’t want to go into town. The pool is the centerpiece of the resort and, though not heated, was refreshing and a relaxing place to sip on a drink. They have a tuk tuk at the ready for when you want to head into town (only $2). I can’t say enough about the staff and their fantastic service. We’ll remember this visit for a long time from now.

An oasis for sure. All the staff went over and above to help us and make us comfortable. We ended up staying 4 days. This location is a quick US DOLLAR away from downtown. I can’t imagine a better place to stay.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I had the most beautiful, relaxing weekend, visiting the sights and then relaxing by the pool. The staff are so warm, friendly, and helpful. My room was beautiful. The care, service, and attention to detail were remarkable. I showed up with no plans and the staff were able to arrange a tuk-tuk driver for me to see the temples for sunset and sunrise, provided packed breakfast, etc. The food was delicious, the spa treatments were sublime-- I can't say enough good things. I can't wait to come back!

Amazing hotel, terrible guests
We came with our 4-year old child and met what we thought was a pleasant European older couple at the pool who are regulars at the hotel. They told us about their 'amazing' philanthropic activity helping local children which we thought was admirable. They had brought some of their local helpers which were not hotel guests who went into the small pool with their clothes on. While it was not appropriate to have non-guests swim with their clothes in the small pool, the charm of the couple and apparent goodwill made it seem very acceptable. But this "nice couple" soon radically changed their attitude when our son excited by the wading pool was splashing water swimming and unintentionally (what kids do), a few drops got onto their chair. They became very belligerent and changed their colors completely, telling our four year old directly to stop his behavior instead of talking to us. Then they said his attitude was not normal. My wife had told them if it bothers them to move to the other side of the pool where the water was deeper and where adults swam. While the lady accepted the husband refused and then the matter escalated further. This couple who was so consumed by their 'philanthropy' thought they can monopolize the small hotel since they were regular guests and could do what they wished in the pool as long as other didn't bother them. If you see them you will quickly know who we are referring to. Hotel should refuse this couple in the futurel to avoid future incidences.

Fantastic Experience! A must in Siem Reap.
AMAZING PLACE. The best hotel experience I've had in Asia. Its a smaller hotel (12 rooms), and you really feel the customer service. The staff is bend over backwards friendly and super helpful. They helped us book a driver to take us around Angkor Wat for the day, drove us to/from the airport for free, pampered us, and were always available to help. Really good value for the money too - the rooms are HUGE, beautiful, the pool is quite lovely, and the food is excellent. Its also super close to Angkor Wat (only a 10 minute drive). I can't recommend enough staying here.

Top Welcoming Boutique in Siem Reap
The staff at the property are extremely helpful and can cater for all the requirements that you may need on your trip. It felt like you were being included into a welcoming boutique community at a very reasonable rate and a gorgeous facility. All the major chains are closer to the city centre, however we found this a much more enjoyable location - a bit quieter, and just a short tuk-tuk ride to either the city or temples.

Sokkhak boutique hotel had probably the best service I've ever seen: courteous, helpful, every detail was carefully taken care of. Excellent food. After a hot tiring day at the temples, coming back to the lovely peaceful pool and being greeted by the staff was a comforting pleasure. We had a lovely stay there. If you come to Siem Reap, definitely stay here for the perfect complement to amazing Angkor. Sokkhak staff: We miss you already!

Really loved staying here! The hotel is halfway between Angkor Wat and downtown, staff is super friendly and helpful, hotel is small but beautiful, great food, nice SPA. Have only good things to say!

Wonderful place, quiet and peaceful, pool and gardens are very relaxing. Only 20 min by Tuk Tuk to city, very convenient to Angkor and surrounds. Absolutely loved our 3 night stay, this is a great resort! The Management & staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. In a quiet spot just outside of town, our expectations of a unique Cambodian experience were truly exceeded! Would thoroughly recommend the Sokkhak Resort to our friends!

Intimate and friendly hotel
From the moment we were greeted till the moment we said goodbye, the staff at the Sokkhak remained attentive, interested and charming. This is what made our stay special. The hotel is tucked away in a lane off the main road and is a 10 minute Tuk-Tuk ride into town. The location is very quiet although because our room was situated on the ground floor, it was pretty noisy. The food was fresh and tasty. The service attentive, yet unobtrusive. The rooms were tasteful and the beds large and sumptuous. We would have liked to have spent time lounging by the pool, but there were never lounges available -one of the hotel's few negative points.

Hidden gem in Siem Reap
We were charmed by the resort and staff at this hotel. We felt so welcome and appreciated. I've never had a better experience anywhere! We were greeted on arrival by Malay, with a fresh fruit drink and refreshing scented hand towels. We were surrounded by lovely art and fresh flowers. The grounds are immaculate with Thai sculptures and flowers. At night, white twinkling lights are in the trees and reflecting in the pool and water features. We had a beautiful suite upstairs that looked out at palm trees and the pool. Th e room was so tasteful and comfortable. The restauant is open and restful. The food is inspired and beautifully presented. We were so delighted with the choices and the service. I had a massage with Sari, who was very skilled and attentive to my needs. We were only there for two nights but I never wanted to leave. This place is a gem and I will always remember my time there fondly. The management and the staff are so gracious and caring. World class staff!
My wife and I enjoyed being treated like VIPs’s. Kindest most professional staff of any hotel we have ever stayed at. Chesdar treated us with the kindness of a true professional. Welcoming cosy boutique hotel.
Everything is great here and such good value. Spa experience was very good and all staff so helpful and almost couldn't do enough for us. Food portions very big! Rooms are super comfortable & well equipped. We will definitely go back.

This hotel is beautifully designed with warm, attentive service in a secluded, quiet location, yet main attractions of Sngkor Wat and Pub Street a short tuk tuk ride away. Breakfast is wonderful, as well as lunch and dinner option. The pool provides serene, relaxing atmosphere to sip in a delicious mango mojito. Above all, everyone at the hotel is so kind and helpful and truly made us feel like we were at home; we were very sad to leave, but happy to go back one day.

Clean, calm and quiet boutique hotel
The hotel is beautiful! The staff was very nice and upgraded us to a suite free of charge. The room was extremely clean and peaceful. They had an oil burner in the corner making it smell amazing. The manager was telling us that most hotels in Siem Reap are owned by foreign companies meaning that the money you spend there leaves the country. We fell in love with Cambodia and its people and are very happy that the money we spent on our trip is going to a Cambodian company. I'd recommend that you look to do the same even if you choose a hotel other than this one. The location is pretty much right between the town and the temples. We liked it a lot since it meant a shorter transit time in the morning to go to the temples. If you're looking to be able to walk to restaurants and bars, you may prefer somewhere closer to town but it's just a $2 - $3 tuk tuk ride away. The only downside to our stay was that the pool was undergoing some maintenance. The staff was very apologetic and as the country is in the middle of a huge drought, we understood how hard it was to solve quickly. If you're staying soon (June 2016) and a pool is a must for you, you may just want to shoot them a note and make sure it's operational.

This gem is locally owned and operated and a little oasis in the Cambodian heat. It's situated between the temple complex and the pub street area - although not walkable, a tuk tuk will take you for $2-3 USD. Beds are hard, but comfortable and great for my back. Service is impeccable and the food is delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel with 5-star service. But it is 10 minutes by Tuk Tuk from centre of Siem Reap. We had an excellent driver supplied by the hotel throughout our stay. Breakfast was quirky and very good. All cooked to order.

Best hotel stay we've ever had
This hotel is beautiful. The staff are the friendliest we've ever dealt with and a pleasure talking to. They were incredibly curteous and their attention to detail went above and beyond, even cleaning our rooms more than once a day when we left and came back and then left again. The saltwater pool is exactly what you need after a day of trekking the temples in the heat. We will definitely come back.

Great Hotel, Awesome Staff
We had a 2 night stay at this hotel. The hotel staff contacted me well in advance of my stay asking if I needed any help with anything while in the area, which is extremely unusual, and very nice. They helped me organize a tour, guides and tuk tuks for the two days that I was there and all of this was taken care of well before I had to be in Siem Riep. Great great staff, very nice and humble people. My flight would leave late at night, and the hotel left us the room without an additional charge as well. I must say this was amongst our most memorable stays during a 14 day trip in Thailand, Cambodia and Japan. 5 star all the way.

Great boutique hotel not far from city center
Excellent boutique hotel near the city center and only a short ride to Angkor Wat. This was a very nice hotel with excellent staff. Very friendly and super helpful. We got in close to sunset. They didn't even have us spend time checking in and helped us immediately get a ride out to the temples to see Sunset as our time there was limited. When we got back they let us relax a bit before finally doing the check in process which was very easy. They have a nice small pool on property with lounge chairs. Laundry services for a reasonable price. We had the same tuk-tuk driver at our request the whole time we were there. City center is only a short ride away. Overall this was an excellent hotel and I would definitely go back. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing boutique hotel with excellent service in Siem Reap.

Lovely stay
The staff is extremely friendly, always making sure you're comfortable and helping arrange tours and whatnot. The room is big and clean, excellent shower. Nice pool to cool down after a day of exploring. Location was the only downside. Although Siem Reap is very small, a tuk tuk is necessary to go anywhere and there are no walking distance attractions.

If you are looking for a great hotel in Siem Reap,
Seriously, this was one of the best hotel experiences we have had in Asia. My husband and I are avid traveler and we happened to be travelling in Thailand when we made a last minute booking/decision to go to Siem Reap to check out Angkor Wat for one day. Best decision ever. The pick up in a Tuk Tuk was flawless. Our driver, who actually ended up being our driver for the rest of the stay, was kind and professional. We quickly got to the hotel and Kim helped us organize our visit to Angkor Wat. The hotel hired a driver for us who spent the day with us, had water at all times and constantly offered to take pictures at iconic places. Our flight didn't depart until late that night and Kim allowed us to stay way after the check out time. We were able to shower, rest and get ready for our flight. Can't recommend this hotel enough - everyone there is just so kind. Wish we had more time there and checked out their awesome pool - next time!
