One of the best !
3rd visit and we never get tired of it. The views, peacefulness are extraordinary. The staff is also exceptionally helpful, friendly and patient. We also had amazing springbok from thr menu.

Definitely a great place to stay in the desert
Really nice quirky place in the middle of the desert. Nice and friendly owners that explained everything and even explained some star constellation with a laser pointer

The Perfert Desert Retreat
The perfect desert adventure!! A truly unique location and lodge built into the side of a rocky hill, and designed with domed ceilings and rocks. The owners live at the lodge, and they were incredibly hospitable, informative, intellignt, interesting, attentive, and all around fun!! The staff was equally fantastic. The pool is one of the best I've used during my month-long travels in Namabia. The scenary stunning, and the hiking options were perfect: from an easy hour to more challenging longer hikes, all from the lodge. Zebras roam close by, and there is a flock of resident guinea fowl, along with the other beatiful birds, and the resident three house cats. I highly recommend this lodge and hope to visit again!!

This property is in the "middle of nowhere", which also means beautiful scenery all around. The place is great to relax and offers some nice little hikes on the property. The owners are on site and really care of the welfare of their guests. We enjoyed our relaxing stay, the great pool, the good food and the wonderful cabin. We do recommend the larger ones.

A very special desert experience, we are very happy we chose to stay here. Compliments to the owners and staff team for their vision and welcome. If there could be a more powerful way to cool down the rooms in the evening, if the desert breeze dies down, that would be ideal.

A lovely relaxing stopping of point between Sossusvlei and Swakopmund. The accommodation is quite different from the other lodges we have stayed in, but made of local materials and blended in well with the scenery. We sat for hours on the covered patio of our room watching the activity at the nearby waterhole. The pool area was well designed and a great place to relax.

Wish for better WiFi
It has the best view for sunset. However only if there is WiFi in the room too. WiFi at lobby is kind weak as well. No LTE no 3G at at lodge.

Very well run Lodge. We stayed in one of the suites, it was a bit pricey, but what an experience. The views and environment were amazing. A highlight from our holiday. We had one mosquito, and no more. Not any problem. Restaurant was very good, with a very friendly atmosphere. We made a day trip to Sossusvlei which was easy. Put your polarised shades on and the dunes were still red at 1100.

Welcome site in the middle of nowhere
Once you turn off the main road Which is a dirt road you travel for quite a distance to the lodge. Just when you think you are on the wrong road it appears out of the sand. Stay was wonderful, room spacious, staff super friendly, meals to die for. Would recommend this to anyone going to Swakopmund from Sossusvlei area.

Awesome setting, nice hiking trails, wonderful view from the room patio and from the pool. The staff was amazing, kind, helpful, very good service. Good and drinks at the lodge restaurant was great (good choice and delicious). We would stay there any time. The only problem was the shower pressure. Maybe it was just our room or because the hotel is eco friendly, but it was like a faint jet of water falling from the head shower. It was still possible to shower, but it was difficult to since the soap away.

Die Lodge Rostock Ritz ist in der Tat etwas ganz außergewöhnliches. Sie liegt mitten in der Namib-Wüste an einem kleinen Berghang gelegen. Die Chalets sehen aus, als wenn sie aus einem Starwars-Film entsprungen wären. Auch Rezeption und Restaurant sind in diesem Stil gehalten. Der Pool gilt als der schönste in Namibia. Vom Pool schaut man in die Weite der Wüste. Vor uns tummelten sich 3 Zebras und eine Gruppe Strauße. Man fragt sich was diese Tiere in der Wüste noch an Futter finden. Der Sundowner auf der Terasse vom Restaurant und das Abendessen waren echt super. Die Besitzer waren auch sehr bemüht uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die Chalets an sich sind schon ein wenig eng, insbesondere für große Personen. Aber es war absolut ausreichend. Man muss nur vor dem Abendessen alle Fenster öffnen und für Durchzug sorgen, ansonsten wird es eine heiße Nacht.

Die Unterkunft ist mit gut zu bewerten. Leider fehlt ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer und das Wasser im Pool ist sehr kalt, was man mit wenigen Handgriffen umweltschonend umsetzen kann.

Beautiful, peaceful place, surrounded by nature. Perfect to relax and enjoy the tranquility at the pool with a GT or two. Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed the hospitality of the staff. The view from our deck was amazing and perfect for stargazing.

Es ist alles schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommenen und könnte etwas Farbe gebrauchen. Die kleinen Häuser sind sehr dunkel.

Die ganze Farm ist gut durchdacht. Bei Ankunft erhält man alle relevanten Informationen, zusätzlich findet man im Zimmer eine Broschüre mit vielen hilfreichen Hinweisen. Die Sundowner Tour mit dem Farm Besitzer ist sehr empfehlenswert und informativ. Badehose und Sonnencreme nicht vergessen, da der Poolbereich sehr schön ist! Am hauseigenen Wasserloch hat man die Chance, Bergzebras und Pferde zu beobachten. Das Essen a la cartel bietet viele Optionen und ist sehr lecker.

Gut gelegene Unterkunft auf dem Weg nach Swakopmund bzw. wenn man dieses auslassen möchte. Die Unterkunft ist schön, allerdings ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Von den Zimmern aus hat man einen tollen Blick in die Wüste und auf ein Wasserloch. Ein Highlight ist das Zebra dass in der Morgenstunde in der Nähe der Lodge herumläuft

Willkommen bei den Flintstones. So fühlten wir uns beim Betreten des Bungalows. Alles aus Stein gemauert, sehr rustikal. Dusche sehr klein und Waschbecken (aus was für Gründen auch immer) sehr tief an der Wand befestigt. Essen sehr gut, sehr große Auswahl.

Tolle Lodge und super nette Gastgeber. Leider hatten wir nur eine Nacht eingeplant, es hätten gern zwei sein können. Die Zimmer sind schön angelegt, mit Blick über die weite Ebene auf den Sonnenuntergang und ein Wasserloch, an dem sich abends Tiere einfinden. Der Pool ist traumhaft. Bequeme Liegen (wahlweise im Schatten oder in der Sonne) und ein grandioser Blick laden zum Verweilen ein. Auf Wunsch werden hier naturlich auch leckere Drinks serviert. Mehrere Wanderwege locken damit die Gegend zu erkunden. Das komplette Team ist sehr nett und die Besitzer sind sehr um ihre Gäste bemüht und packen gerne mit an. Man sieht und spürt ihre Freude und Leidenschaft für Afrika und ihre Lodge.

Sehr einsam gelegene Wüstenlodge
Sehr einsam gelegene Lodge mit Rundbungalows. Ausstattung der Chalets mit Ventilator, kleines Bad mit Dusche, kleine Terasse mit Wüstenblick. Die Hütten sind durch Ihre Bauweise trotzdem angenehmn klimatisiert und heizen sich nicht so auf. Frühstück und Dinner waren gut. Top sind auch die auf der Farm angelegten Wanderwege, die exzellent ausgezeichnet sind. Das findet man nicht überall. Sehr nettes Betreiberpaar, der Lodgehund bedarf hingegen noch etwas der Erziehung. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Etape au milieu du désert,Nous avons trouvé les bungalows bien balourds de l'extèrieur et sombres et petits à l'intèrieur.Le coin piscine est par contre joli et la terrasse commune agréable.Nous avons aimé le repas du soir ,délicieux oryx grillé à point.A part un zèbre les seuls animaux que nous ayons vus sont un rat des champs dehors et une araignée rapide aux longues pattes dans la chambre.Comme on nous a conseillé de vaporiser sous le lit (?)pendant le repas un insecticide anti moustique, dont nous n'avons pas vu la queue d'un, je me demande si ce n'était pas plutôt pour les araignées ?Le personnel manque sérieusement de courtoisie,comme je trouvais inhabituel qu'il n'y ait pas de quoi se faire un café dans la chambre,on m'a répondu "il y a un début à tout dans la vie"L'accueil avait été bien froid aussi.

This Lodge has a beautiful Location, completely remote and peaceful. We stayed in a larger Villa and can highly recommend it. Service is very friendly, the Restaurant is a la carte for lunch and dinner. Nice pool with a view.
