Great place to stay!!
We stayed here for visiting the Christmas Market in Strasbourg. The accommodation is even better than the pictures show. Matthieu is a great host, very friendly and had a lot of tips regarding Christmas Markets in Alsace. Thanks again for the great hospitality, we enjoyed every minute of it.

We stayed in this lovely village from 13 to 20 June 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The countryside is gorgeous and the host and other villagers were most helpful. Without doubt this is the most lavishly equipped Gite we have ever stayed in and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it.

Matthieu was a wonderful host. And The Loft is superb. Exactly as it looks in the photos. And the peace!!!! It was great value for money. Matthieu offered us some great advice on the local evening festivals and you can even order fresh bread and croissants which will be delivered to the property. If you want to get away from it all this place is a must.

Beautifuly renovated gite, lovely area
The gite is beautifuly located in Birkenwald, a quiet little town. It''s exactly as the pictures with 3 spacious bedrooms and a huge open kitchen. Host Mathieu was realy nice and helped us with options to visit and see. Would definitely come back here.

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit toller Lage
Eine wirklich schöne, kompakte und pfiffige Wohnung mit hervorragender Ausstattung; gut geeignet für sechs Personen; großzügige Küche mit üppiger Ausstattung; ländlich und ruhig gelegen in schöner Landschaft; tolle Dachterrasse; sehr netter, zuvorkommender und unkomplizierter Vermieter Matthieu; toller Bäckerservice vor die Türe; breites Weinangebot in der Wohnung; auch das vlt. etwas schwache WLAN und die gewöhnungsbedürftige harte Matratze im großen Schlafzimmer werden uns nicht davon abhalten, wiederzukommen. Auf alle Fälle fünf Sterne!

Küche nicht nur für Imbisse
Anfang Januar hatten wir ans Wetter keine besonderen Ansprüche. Da es sich in der Wohnung aber am großen Esstisch oder Sofa gut aufhalten ließ, sind wir (5 Erwachsene) am Ende nicht einmal auswärts Essen gegangen, sondern haben nach einem ausgiebigen Besuch beim Leclerc in Marmoutier die gut ausgestattete Küche ausgiebig genutzt. Bei wärmeren Temperaturen hätten wir gerne die schöne Dachterrasse genossen. Für Spaziergänge in die Umgebung, auch direkt ab dem Haus, haben wir trotzdem noch Zeit gefunden und auch Strassburg einen Besuch abgestattet. Ab Wasselonne kann man das Auto stehen lassen und mit dem Bus günstig reinfahren. Infos gab es beim Gastgeber Mathieu bzw. seinem Vater. Bei Fragen waren sie gerne zur Auskunft bereit. Der Gastgeber vermietet übrigens noch zwei weitere schöne Wohnungen am Ort. Was uns vorher nicht bewusst war, ist, dass das eine Doppelzimmer nur durch eine Schiebewand vom Wohn- und Essraum getrennt ist. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Gute Ausgangslange für Trips in die Stadt oder auch in die Natur. Geniale Wanderungsmöglichkeiten. Gastgeber war sehr hilfsbereit und hat Tipps für mögliche Ausflugsziele gegeben. Ruhiges kleines Dörfchen mit zwei Restaurants. Keine direkten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im Dorft aber in 10 Autominuten erreichbar. Brötchenservie wäre vorhanden.

De gite was ruim en zeer goed ingericht. De slaapkamers zijn ruim, de keukenruimte is voldoende en goed ingericht. De wijnkast met enkele lokale wijnen is een pluspunt. Mindere punten zijn het koude/grijze toilet (andere ruimten zijn warm ingericht), de velux ramen die veel lawaai maken bij regenweer. Daarnaast hebben de achterburen 2 grote honden, die hun gevoeg in de tuin doen, niet echt appetijtelijk.

Toller Ort zum entspannen!
Die Wohnung ist geräumig, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und großzügig ausgestattet. Tische, Sitzgelegenheiten und Küchenausstattung reichen für 6 Personen locker aus. Der Ort liegt inmitten einer schönen Landschaft, die zu diversen Erkundungen in die Umgebung einlädt. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat viele Ausflugstipps parat. Sein Brötchenservice ist einfach super. Insgesamt war es ein toller Urlaub für die ganze Familie.

Entschleunigen in tollem, gemütlichem Wohnu
Von der Buchung bis zur Abreise waren wir vollstens zufrieden. Die Wohnung liegt über dem Weinlager des Vermieters in einem unscheinbaren Gebäude im 1. Stock, erreichbar über eine recht steile Treppe. Garderobe im EG. Sofort nach Betreten der Wohnung fühlt man sich wohl. Hell, geschmackvoll und wertig eingerichtet. Eyecatcher ist die große offene Küche mit Gasherd, sehr großem Kühlschrank mit großem separaten Gefrierfach,Wasserkocher, Filterkaffeemaschine, Nespresso Kaffeemaschine, Mikrowelle ,Raclette und Elektrogrill, ausreichend Gläser, Geschirr und Besteck. In Frankreich sind Küchen oft nur " feriengerecht " ausgestattet, sprich es gibt nur genauso viele Teller, Tassen, Messer, etc., wie Personen erlaubt sind. Hier zu Kochen macht Laune. Gemeinsam schnippelnd um den Küchenblock stehen, reden, und ein Gläschen Wein trinken und nach dem Essen am Kaminofen sitzen, wer das mag, ist hier genau richtig ! Die Betten sind bei Ankunft bezogen. Handtücher und Geschirrtücher werden gestellt, wer

Merveilleux gîte décoré avec goût. Tout le confort moderne est présent et une literie d'un confort exceptionnel ! MERCI ! Bel appartement. Pour un des couples la température de la chambre était un peu fraîche et pas de possibilité de régler le chauffage, c'est bien pour des personnes qui dorment sans chauffage. Pas de vue sur le parc à cerfs, les sapins ont trop poussé.
