Not exactly as described...
We stayed for a birthday getaway for my daughter who turned 26 with her husband, my husband and myself. Online it looked as though we would have access to a lodge, a tavern, games and huge firepit to socialize with others staying there. That was not the case. Although the "apt" was quite larger than the photos, and was clean enough, the Lodge itself was cluttered, dark, very dated closed most of the time we were there...very uninviting. When we checked in we immediately asked about the hot tub, and were told that they didnt use it in the winter months because it "costs $300/month to keep up".We checked in at around 5:30pm, and the owner/manager had left our keys/instructions just inside the lodge door although she was inside the lodge when we arrived. She then confused me with another guest and requested I again pay the pet deposit in cash, although I had already paid when I book through VRBO The pool/exercise area were completely closed and we never did find the "hot tub" on the property. Location was ~15minutes from Fall Creek Falls, which was nice as we dined there. Towels and linens were plenty and smelled fresh. Bed had some sort of egg crate mattress on top of mattress that sheets kept sliding off. Overall, the stay was okay for the price. But do not expect anything other than the 2 BR/2BA style apt with very small tv's (the one in bedroom was a tube tv).There was a small swingset/play area in the backyard, but no mountain view, firepit, hot tub, lodge amenities, etc.

You did have access to the lodge. There were games and it was a tavern. I was there the entire time and it was open the entire time because I live there and was there the entire time Friday and Saturday. You left on Sunday. There were games in a cabinet in the main lodge. If you had asked I would have shown you where they were. I was in the Great Room doing a jigsaw puzzle so all the lights were on and it was not dark. I told you that we don’t keep the hot tub open in the winter because it takes $300 a month to heat it and we have maybe one person a month want to use it. Most of the winter months there are just a few reservations so we can’t afford to keep it open. We tried that last year and realized that. There were two fire pits in the back yard but it rained most of the weekend so you were unable to use it. We understand your frustration there but only God controls the weather. You did tell me you had a dog and I said there was a $50 pet fee. You told me you paid it on VRBO and I checked it on your paperwork and saw that you had and thanked you and told you I thought it was another guest who had told me they would pay the fee when they got to the lodge. I thought it was you because you mentioned your dog and apologized and told you I had you mixed up with them. Thanks, Julia

Great experience!
We enjoyed our time at the lodge. The location was perfect for the race we flew in to run at Fall Creek, and the accommodations are cozy. We would definitely return.

Lovely Cabin in a great location
We had a wonderful time in this cabin, complete with a playground and a pool, minutes from Fall Creek Falls State Park. Julia was very attentive in her correspondence and quite helpful after our arrival. Our entire family will definitely return for another visit. We love this facility and highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature.

Pretty Good
It’s not a place I would write home about. It was pretty nice but I thought the pool would be closer to the cabins. Who knew you had to drive to it. The ice machine in our unit didn’t work. Had to ask them to bring us some ice. Loved sitting on the back porch but there was a rail on it that blocked your view most of the time. I would either have higher chairs or remove that top rail.

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. The lodge and pool were built twenty years before I bought it. The pool was located so the cabins behind and lodge could both use it. This is why it was located where it was. Julia

Beautiful Property
We had a very relaxing stay. The cabin was clean and spacious for our family of four. The pool was awesome, and the location was amazing for Fall Creek Falls. We would love to stay here again soon!

Nice stay
We thought the cabin was great! The cheap grill needs replacing. Also invest in a new cookie sheet that doesn't have rust all over it. There was no remote for the old tv in the bedroom. The manager greeted me with saying I still owed for the cleaning fee, which she had me mistaken for another guest.

Rustic lodge
The 2-bedroom unit at the lodge was clean, comfortable and quiet. The rustic decor had a warm feel to it. The location was great for Fall Creek Falls State Park. The property manager was very helpful with the check-in process. The only suggestion would be taller toilets which would have been helpful for my elderly parents. I would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous Location and beautiful cabins
Beautiful pet friendly lodge with spacious comfortable cabins, gorgeous view and wonderful outdoor space, host was very friendly, we really enjoyed sitting and talking with them, they even put together bingo and karaoke.. highly recommend staying here..

Cozy Cabin

Coffee Disappointment
My wife and I love our morning coffee. I confirmed that a coffee maker was furnished. However, it was a lousy machine. Please replace it with something more adequate. It messed up the one free coffee package in the room, and when I asked for another one, it was given reluctantly and with the comment that usually only one is provided.

Which unit were you in? There are new coffee makers in units 3 & 4. I know what a grump a man or woman can be without their coffee in the morning. Wish you would have said something when you were there and I would have made you a pot of coffee in my kitchen and brought you a new coffee maker. Julia

The cabin was super nice and cozy! Beautiful property on the back as well! Close to High Creek Falls State Park. I think it worth noting, I didn’t see the information on my reservation before I left to drive there about the property having a gate and a “code” was needed. Because you are traveling up a mountain to get there, cell phone coverage was null n void! READ all the information before you get there. I had to travel back to state park at night time n find someone who had a phone I could use to contact the property. I could not dial out or get a signal of any kind. Once you’re at the property of course, there is wifi. I loved my stay at this location!
