Short breakPosted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: Excellent facilities
Cons: Bar staff Leo refused to open a bottle of prosecco at 11'15pm stating if you only want one glass the rest of the bottle would go flat !
Location: Good location for St helier centre, you're never far away from any location in Jersey especially with a hire car
A pleasant stay on a wonderful island. We have visited Jersey numerous occasions and have fallen in love with the Islam. Our first choice hotel in St helier is Pom dor

Friendly StaffPosted Jul 23, 2015
The hotel was welcoming from the moment we arrived.Staff were always on hand to answer any queries we had and to assist with booking trips and hire cars. The three restaurants on site were all good quality and food promptly arrived. The evening entertainment was varied and seemed to be enjoyed by all who took the opportunity to sample the "Star Room." The swimming pool and gym complex is excellent, with areas for young children through to guests wanting to swim lengths. Rooms clean, bathrooms have plenty of towels and provide shower gel, etc.

Helt OK.Posted Jul 10, 2015

Can't fault itPosted Jun 24, 2015
Our first time to Jersey so didn't know what to expect. Very comfortable hotel. Made to feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of hangers and drawer space. Good dressing table with mirror plus full length mirror. Welcome addition of iron and board in room. Communal areas were also comfortable and a mix of quiet areas and areas with entertainment in the evening. Aquadrome was great. Indoor and outdoor pools plus sauna and steam rooms. Just on outskirts of St Helier but an easy stroll of say 15-20 min and you reached the centre. Would definitely recommend

Great if wealthy, old and easily entertainedPosted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: The only saving grace was the Porters, especially Jared, Mario and John, they have a wealth of knowledge
Cons: Fridges in rooms, without trying to make extra money - when you are paying so much you would expect the basics - the entertainment needs to improve
Location: well to be fair - if you book a trip, most pick you up from hotel, but factor in £10 taxi trip for those that don't. Town is a 20 min walk away
Stayed there for a week 13/20th June 2015. Firstly it is £20 in a taxi ride away from airport - a good walk to any sign of life. The room was ok, but, we had to pay for the hire of a fridge to keep our insulin in. no aircon, load of pictures on one wall none on the other ? Very small TV, Food, if you are not on half board is expensive £82 for a meal for three. Over 7 nights proves quite expensive. The entertainment was dire ! Boy band tribute, god awful voices, Abba loo, Magician was not too bad, but I have to say on the whole I was very very disappointed with the entertainment - there was nothing to do during the day, unless you went for a swim or used the Gym. The pool area is lovely but the staff very surly and uncommunicative. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone under the age of 65

Fantastic facilities.Posted Jun 20, 2015
This is an excellent hotel and the service from all the staff we encountered throughout the hotel was first class. The restaurants serve food as good as any you will get outside the hotel and are no more expensive. In particular, our meal was delicious. There was a wide range of choice at breakfast to cater for all tastes which meant we could eat a hearty breakfast and then just grab a lighter late lunch whilst out and about. The leisure complex facilities are brilliant and we took advantage of the indoor and outdoor pool, the gym sauna and steam room and all were very clean. There are fitness classes but we didn't attend these. There is a £5 deposit for the towels and you'll need £1 for a locker but these are all refundable. The room was spacious and clean. The location was excellent just a short walk to St Helier shops and adjacent to a beautiful park. The only negatives I have are: the reception area needs drastically modernising, it doesn't create a good first impression and certainly doesn't reflect how good this hotel actually is. I'm surprised they haven't attended to this since it's the first thing visitors see! Please ditch the tacky photo frames, there is nothing aesthetically pleasing about these and the wonderful reception staff deserve a nice modern and bright area to work in. The lift was too small. There was not enough tea and coffee in the room (we had 3 people in ours), however on asking for more, it was quickly replenished. Excellent hotel overall.
