We arrived early 2:30 on the water taxi and were not allowed to check in until 4:30. This would not be a problem if all the American airline flight cancellations were not waiting to check in at 4:30 along with us.
Needless to say it created a long backup at 4:30 which you could have been avoided if you let us check in at 2:30. I know the rooms were not ready at 2:30 but we could have gotten the check in out of the way and shortened the line at 4:30. Service needs to improve and quit using the "you're in the islands" as an excuse for bad service. Bad service is bad service where ever you are.
There was a large dead cockroach in our room which was a little creepy but at least he was dead which means the rooms are sprayed.
I guess this is the best you can get in St. Thomas

For days we were one of the few people in the villas. That was great. The pool by the villas was small but adequate. We ate at the restaurant once - for breakfast. The kitchenette was stocked with coffee. The landscape was beautiful.
The only thing that was really negative was the lack of housekeeping most days.
The taxis charged $6.00/person to go into town unless you walked a mile to catch a "Safari" for $1.00.
The best thing was the walk to and from the airport. There was no need for a taxi.

Second time the wife and I have stayed at secret harbor and the first for our two girls 6 and 3. Perfect for snorkeling for the 6 year old and floating for the 3 year old in a life vest. The view never disappoints.

"Nice pit stop for a night. Knowledgably hip owners"
This bed & breakfast is convenient for the Island Hopper. The owners are on site and the lady picked my girlfriend and I up from the airport and gave us some very truthful and helpful tips. They seem like a new business and are in the process of upgrading, adding a jacuzzi etc. This place was away from all the tourism crap and in a perfect location to hop on a ferry from the east end to St. John or Virgin Gorda.

i travel a lot, and this is the best staff i have ever encountered! they remembered the villa we were in, what adventures we had planned for the day, and so friendly. the resort can be difficult to get around (many "s" curves from the beach to the hilltop), but they go above and beyond to get you where you want to be- golf carts to drop you at the vials with your luggage or pick you up at the villa to bring you to the pools, lobby, or another spot. the on site shuttle transportation is very unique and runs in a limited area around the resort (red hook, coki beach, etc) and much better than any other transportation option on the island! the villas are all different- ours was a deluxe villa, master bedroom w ensuite bathroom, pullout sofa, 3/4 bath, kitchen area, dining area, 25x9' deck with an ah-mazing view of the bay and islands. some unique amenities were local coffee and locally made soaps- both were wonderful. if i returned to the area, i really would not want to spend much time on St Thomas again (rather visit surrounding islands for a slower pace change) but can't imagine not staying at point pleasant!

Pros: Got a room with a fantastic view. Room was clean. Convenient location. Enough parking spaces for everyone. Swimming pool with a bar, and 2 nice restaurants.
Cons: The air conditioning unit was too noisy. Like a truck was running inside the room.
Never got coffee restocked for the coffee machine. Had to chase after the housekeepers to ask for a packet.

The hotel was nice, comfortable and close the the airport. The price was worth it we never had any issues with anything. The view is amazing. The only negative is not being close to a good safe beach. I recommend asking the locals how to get around and take the bus for $1 if not they charge $10 per person for a cab ride. I suggest taking a cab when it gets dark and take the bus for $1 in the evening. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and shops but everything is closed around 5-5:30pm.

Cruise ships dock near Charlotte Amalie, the U.S. Virgin Islands’ capital and largest city. Popular city attractions include Blackbeard’s Castle, Main Street, and the 99 Steps. Magens Bay, considered one of the most beautiful beaches, is on the north end of St. Thomas, as is Mahogany Run Golf Course. On the east end, Coral World and the Mangrove Lagoon provide glimpses into the rich marine life.
