Clean convenient and wel pricedPosted Nov 6, 2013
Stayed there for 4 nights. The hotel is in the historic area making it very convenient for sightseeing. Our room was over the plaza, slight crowd buzz during the day yet fairly quiet at night with the window closed. The hotel condition is good considering it is an old building, rooms were clean and efficient. Staff was very friendly and helpful. When i made the reservations this was the cheapest hotel in that part of town. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect budget hotel in StrasbourgPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Basic amenities such as toiletries and soaps provided, very comfortable bed, breakfast was reasonably priced although we never tried it ourselves.
Cons: We were happy enough, but if you're big or tall you won't fit in the bathroom
Location: 2min walk from the cathedral, plenty of restaurants, next to the canal, in petit france, perfect location. About 2.5km from the train station.
Although pretty basic, this hotel had everything that we needed and was in a great location in Strasbourg. Although the room was a comfortable size, my other half had issue with the tiny bathroom- he is 6'1" and it was a bit of a struggle for him to fit in there, but for a three night stay it was no worries. The staff were lovely and the building was secure and most nights we had a good sleep and it was relatively quiet, so we were very happy with the hotel on the whole and would certainly recommend it.

Simple, well located & excellent value for money.Posted Sep 2, 2013
Cons: Maybe worth replacing carpets as they are clean but tired, and filling the small fixture holes in the wall.
Location: Canal tour boat is on the doorstep. Cathedral is stunning. Just wondering around this romantic city is amazing. Worth buying a history guidebook.
Stayed four nights. This is a basic hotel, beautifully situated in the historic centre, a short walk from the cathedral and the boat services. Surrounded by good restaurants, brasseries and shops. Padestrian area that is vibrant but not loud at night if the windows are closed. Nice breakfast. No lifts though so be prepared for stairs. Rooms at front of hotel are the ones to ask for. Perfect for those on a budget or who are happy with basic accommodation while exploring the city. Very clean, comfortable, and toiletries not tested on animals. Have stayed in many hotels in Strasbourg across different price ranges and, excluding the ridiculously expensive Hotel Regent Petite France, will favour this one from now on.

Great place in a great cityPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Location, price, rooms and baths. Basically everything.
Cons: I guess a/c and an elevator would be great and the price will double.
Location: Location is perfect. You can do everything from this hotel.
Hotel des arts is located in the heart of Strasbourg. It is located within a three minute walk to the cathedral which is the center of the main part of the town. The sightseeing boat departs a minute from the front door. Shops, restaurants, sights, trams, everything is so convenient. Petite france is very close and the train station is only a 20 minute walk. The rooms are nice, clean and decent sized (remember this is a 2 star). There is no elevator. We stayed there last year and returned again in 2013.

Great stayPosted Jul 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. The room was small, as most European hotels in this category are, but it was very functional. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have had in Europe. No elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor but the view was great. Can't beat the location of this little hotel, just down the cobbled street from the magnificent Strasbourg cathedral.

Small, but comfortable and centrally locatedPosted Jul 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel des Arts has a fantastic location, and I enjoyed staying there for one night. My room was quite small, but it was very clean and comfortable, and everything was in good condition. There is no elevator. Great for a short stay if you just need somewhere to crash, but I wouldn't want to stay here for a long time.

Good location, not much elsePosted Jul 2, 2013
I would recommend this hotel solely for its location. It's convenient walking distance to great restaurants and shops, the cathedral, and le Petit France. The reception desk men are all good-looking but snooty. The room left much to be desired, but the view was nice. The bathroom floors were sticky, and despite the fact that I booked a double, they only provided one human-sized towel. If you have a car with you, it better be a tiny one to fit in the parking space you pay 18€ for.

Excellent ValuePosted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great value for the price. High-ceiling, clean rooms just steps from the cathedral. Friendly, helpful staff. Really great choice if you are looking for a modest Strassbourg hotel.
