Private Estate - Romantic - Peaceful Escape

Unique experience!
Ideal romantic getaway or
Family friendly opportunity to
Relax. Breathe. Enjoy the simple life!

This equestrian estate has a very private setting with acres of lush landscape. White fences surround the grassy pastures. The water fountain dances on the private pond. Watch the beautiful sunrise over the cedars. Enjoy an afternoon of watching the horses, ponies, mini highlanders, mini horses, chickens and cows graze and play. See the deer and geese wandering in the pastures. Take in the colorful sunsets while sitting by your own private fire pit (wood provided).

The beautifully furnished living quarters is a very large studio apartment. There is a new king size bed and 2 twin log beds. An Amish built table and dining chairs have views of the indoor arena. Kitchenette has an under-counter refrigerator, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee pot, sink, dishes and utensils. All linens and towels provided. The private bathroom has a shower and new vanity with a stone countertop. There is a TV mounted over the electric fireplace and free high-speed wireless internet.

What you can experience at the stable: Daily feedings of the horses, ponies, cows, and chickens; gathering of the chicken eggs; the animals strolling out to their pastures in the morning and returning to their stalls each evening, mucking stalls, feeding treats, playing with the cats, petting the animals.

If you prefer, room darkening curtains to the living quarters can be pulled to provide privacy.

The stable animals are awake and expecting their first feeding around 7 am. We will be as quiet as possible! Please note the living quarters are attached to the stable and you may hear some activity.

Important: For your safety, we ask that you mind the animals, riders, farm equipment, fencing, etc. Permission and supervision are required to access the indoor riding arena.

There are opportunities to "Greet & Treat" our animals if you would like.

*Upon arrival a liability waiver will need to be signed for each guest.

Another great stay
This was our 2nd time staying in the cozy space and our kids loved it. They loved feeding the horses and chickens and spending time hanging out with the cats. Property is beautiful and in a great location. Nice and quiet retreat.

Exceptional stay in a very special place!
What an exceptionally special place! We were utterly blown away by the gorgeous property and the farm experience was magical for our whole family. The entire stay was warm and welcoming. We felt right at home right away. Every detail is attended to in perfection. An absolute family favorite. We cannot wait to return! We are so grateful for our time here and for the opportunity to meet and spend time with (and learn from) our extraordinary hosts. Extraordinary place and experience, start to finish. Just outstanding!

This was a truly unique experience: a working stable with an attached apartment, with windows looking directly into the stable! Got to meet the horses and cows and give them treats. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Property is expansive and secluded, but close to many nearby attractions. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and attractive. Might just mention it is probably best suited to morning people, as being a working stable there is activity that starts early in the morning. Luckily, we are very sound sleepers, and found any disturbance minimal. All in all, thoroughly enjoyable, and highly recommended!

Would love to return!
I can not say enough good things about our stay. The whole experience was wonderful! The location is very peaceful with gorgeous scenery. The hosts (and family) were fantastic! The horses are what drew us to this property and we were not disappointed. My kids were able to greet and treat the horses, mini-horses, and cows each day. Also, the hosts‘ 23 year old daughter (who is great with kids) let my kids help with feedings and some chores. The apartment was clean with plenty of seating room. Though it didn’t have a full kitchen, it did have a Keurig, a regular coffee maker, an air fryer/toaster oven, microwave, a griddle, and an under the counter fridge, in addition to dishes, cups, and utensils. Would love to return if we make it back to Door County!

Unique stay - exceeded expectations
Unique stay that exceeded all our expectations. The cleanliness, attention to detail and thoughtfulness throughout the entire property is amazing. Super quiet throughout the night. Awesome family effort! Horses, mini-horses, cows, chickens and family pets all made appearances. Super friendly. Great location - far enough to be private, close enough to get to attractions.

An Impressive Property with WONDERFUL Hosts!
WOW - this incredible Door County weekend, spent celebrating my girlfriend's 40th Birthday, was made the most special because we chose this amazing place! The sprawling acres, the horses and farm animals, the rolling quiet land, the beautifully appointed Stable Living Quarters, all make for the perfect place to relax and unwind in just one place . . . or as a base for traveling around Door County, with everything being a scenic 30min drive or less. The family that runs and owns the estate are fantastic, warm, and thoughtful! They're more than happy to take you on a tour of the property, meet the animals, and suggest fun things to see/do. Steve, Tammy, and Madeline are the consummate hosts! Don't hesitate to make this property your next vacation destination. We're already planning our return!

Family-friendly farm near Sturgeon Bay--great stay!
We went here over spring break for a long weekend. The draw was the animals for our 12 year-old, and we weren't disappointed. There are many horses, chickens, cows, and 4 cats. The hosts were friendly, and their 23 year-old daughter took our daughter around to feed and pet the animals twice a day (she is wonderful with kids!). Cats and chickens were available all day if we wanted to feed or pet them. The apartment next to the barn is a very large room with a king (?) and 2 twins. You will need to be able to sleep through noise in the morning, as the kitchenette is in the same room with the beds, and there are faint sounds from the barn on the other side of the wall. We always bring earplugs and white noise--it was quieter than your typical motel anyway. The kitchen area has a Keurig, 12 cup coffee maker, dishes, a microwave, a very large mini-fridge, and an electric griddle (for cooking fresh eggs--yum!). Downtown Sturgeon Bay is 15 minutes away, including a Walmart and grocery store on the way. We highly recommend this place for its cleanliness, the easygoing and friendly hosts, and the animal experience close to some fun spots in Door County. If we return, we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful experience
We spent two nights at this property. The house was clean and well set-up for our family of four. It is not big, but it never felt small. The location is great - we hiked at Whitefish Dunes State Park (10 minutes drive) and it was easy to get around the Door County peninsula. By far the best parts were getting to know the hosts and being involved with the animals. They have several horses and other animals that come into the barn at night and out again in the morning. We were able to help with the animals and got to feed them treats. My kids (13 & 10) loved this part. Overall a very fun getaway and we hope to stay again.
