There is NOT 4 bedrooms, there is 3 bedrooms and the “4th Bedroom” is in the hallway no privacy small bunk bed that only fits small child. The hallway Full Bath is extremely small there is no were to move in the bathroom. When we got there the house was not fully cleaned. Ceiling, lamp shades, bathroom had visible dust

Cute house for a weekend stay.
We enjoyed our time together after a big Thanksgiving meal. We made crafts and shopped. Nice place for a few days. It would not be ideal for my large family for a whole week.

Best Ocean Lakes experience ever
This is our first VRBO experience at Ocean Lakes and we will NEVER go back to renting from the other guys. This rental was the cleanest property we've ever had in the BEST location. The fact that we didn't have to stand in line at OLP after being on the road all day and pay 'cash only' for extra parking passes and to get our keys well after 4pm was the biggest bonus. Our property was ready early and we were able to go directly to the house without any cumbersome check in hassles. Linens were abundant and fresh and kitchen was well equipped. Thank God for the crock pot and blender! Also love that there was no lengthy cleaning list at the end of the week.. basic stuff like take out the trash and load the dishwasher. Thanks for that cause really we don't come on vacation to do housework for the last half of the last day right?! I truly hope we can stay in this same property next year.

Adorable Beach Bungalow
Location-AMAZING!!! 7 houses to the beach! Very clean and cozy! There were 6 of us. It is on the smaller side/but it was perfect for what we needed! Hallway bathroom tiny but master bedroom had a great size! Loved having the washer and dryer in the bedroom! Kitchen had great amount of pots and pans, and spices! Front porch was beautiful to sit on the porch and have coffee and see the ocean! And the golf cart was so fun to have to go around the property especially the parade every night! Highly recommend staying here! Cindy was very response if I ever needed anything!!! Can’t wait to visit again.

Fun for family!
The location was amazing for the beach and playground. The hosts were great and easy to communicate with. A small place that is still very fun and livable for a vacation. We really enjoyed the footage the covered porch added to enjoy.

Great location and has everything you need
The house is exactly as described. Be aware that this house is small. It doesn’t have a lot of room; however, the owner has really done a good job of utilizing the space as well as possible. Cindy is a great communicator and super nice. The golf cart is included which is awesome! It’s also very close to the beach. We really like Ocean Lakes, so we had a great time!

Small but comfortable
We had a great stay in this home in Ocean Lakes. The house was smaller, but had plenty of room for the 6 of us (2 Adults and 4 teens). The main bathroom was very small, but we made due, as the master on-suite was a very good size. The front porch was great to sit out front with a coffee in the morning or wine at night. The charcoal grill was a delightful surprise and the added benefit of the golf cart being included was fantastic. The beach and pool were both within a very quick walking distance. As a side note, we rented the sheets and towels and the sheets were honestly the softest I have ever had as a rental. And they provided about 3 towels per person, which was very nice. Andrea was super quick to respond through the entire rental process, making everything super easy and all in all, we loved our stay in this rental.

Granny get away
Had a great time! Took my 83 year old mother to the beach and she had a fabulous time. The front porch is awesome with the swivel rocking chairs and watching all the traffic of carts driving past. It's close enough to the beach to walk if you want. We loved the little house and hope to visit again next year

Great unit
We had a very positive experience here. The owners were quick to answer questions and were great to work with. We were only a short walk to the beach, and the golf cart was a great plus as well! The beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing time!

Ocean Breeze
We loved Ocean Lakes! We had a great time and loved the property, amenities and mostly driving the golf carts around. Would definitely come back. Probably wouldn’t stay at the same property again though. It was too small, appliances barely worked, bedroom door was broken. And wouldn’t close, had mice that were leaving droppings on our beds.

Tammy, Thank you for staying with us!! I apologize for the stove issues! The homeowners have purchased and installed a new stove to correct the issue. The bedroom door is repaired to close better, and no mice! There had been work done on the flooring and the contractor had left a small spot for one to sneak in!! I assure you this has been remedied!!! We do appreciate your stay and look forward to having you back in any of our properties! Take care and stay well!!

Great place!!
We had 7 stay here and had plenty of room for all of us. Great location in the park to everywhere. Property manager was great with communication and the check in process was super easy. Plus it was nice to have a golf cart included with the rental. Def. will stay here again!!!

The house is very clean and beautifully decorated. Loved that it comes with a golf cart and is so near the beach. Only downside is that the bedrooms are very small and very little room to move around in. Also the second bathroom is tiny and You almost have to step into the shower to be able to close the door. The property manager was awesome and always available to help with any questions or issues.

Perfect house
We always enjoy going to ocean lakes but wanted to rent outside of their agency this year. We were hoping to get a house with golf car included. I found this property and couldn’t have been more happy with it. It’s close to ocean, lake for fishing, playground and a quick trip to the water park/arcade area. Loved having a covered porch with chairs so we could sit outside and relax. The livIng room furniture was very cozy which is always a big plus in my book. Will definitely look at booking this property next year for a summer trip.

It was ok, probably will not rent again.
The cottage rooms are small. The bunk bedroom is misleading, it’s more of a closet. No room for luggage or clothes. Our shower head was broken upon arrival & I notified property mgmt. I was told they would be over to replace it. No one ever showed up. My husband zip tied it together so we could use it. The floors are in need of repair & a good cleaning. It is in a great location to the beach! However don’t try to come in at cruising time cause you can’t park your car with all the golf cart traffic. The cottage served its purpose but I was expecting more cause of the pictures.

Jill, I am so sorry for the mix up with the shower! I was told the plumber had fixed it and realized upon going in the day you left that it had not been repaired. It has now! The bunk room is just that, simply for sleeping and not to be confused with a full bedroom. It is for sleeping purposes only. I feel like, hopefully, the pictures reflect such as we would want our guests to know exactly what they are choosing to rent. This is a great home, but definitely most comfortable for 6 people. The location of this home is very close to the Ocean, and is a most appealing feature for most. The proximity to everything Ocean Lakes is perfect for being involved in all the day/night activities. Ocean Lakes is one of the most visited vacation spots in the world which does lead to a lot of traffic on check in day. As is the case with most highly sought after resorts. Thank you for your stay!

Lizard Lick Tiny House
The toilet was stopped up for 4 days, bugs and a lizard were seen. The property manager was AMAZING to talk to. She truly was very helpful and kind. House was much smaller than anticipated. Closet with built in bunks is an excellent use of space but should be classed as a bunk room, not a bedroom. I cleaned the kitchen, hall and living room flooring. Hands and knees scrubbed it because our feet were black after walking on it and it was all very sticky. Cleaned up well though and you're in good shape now. I would bring this to cleaning personnel attention. They have not been doing a great job fyi. Golf cart was an excellent addition to the property. We love Ocean Lakes and the people there and made the absolute best of our week there. It was a fun vacation.

LeAnn, Thank you so much for the compliment!! I really appreciate that but I’m so disappointed to hear you were so dissatisfied with the home as most all of our guest LOVE this home. I agree, it isn’t huge by any means, and the homeowners prefer 6 people at the most to stay here. The bunk room, which is what we refer to it as, is small...that’s correct. It is only for sleeping quarters. And I certainly addressed the cleanliness of the floor with the housekeepers and they had used something different that week that disagreed with the flooring and must have caused stickiness. That won’t happen again:) They are excellent cleaners and we have great confidence in their abilities. We have all of our homes sprayed once a month for pest control, and because ocean lakes is on the ocean palmetto bugs are as common as crickets here at the beach! Occasionally, because the homes proximity to the ocean, something could slip in the door although it is rare. And I’m sorry it happened while you were there! And the toilet issue was terribly unfortunate too as a previous guest had put a plastic bottle in the toilet and caused all the issues. I’m glad we were able to get it resolved for you and apolgize it took the plumber longer than normal to get there. He was inundated with calls from the holiday. We appreciate your communication and hope you can come back again one day and have an issue free week as is a usual stay!🏖� Thank you again and take care:)

Beach, Family, and Fun in a lovely seaside cottage
Great beach cottage feel, clean, comfortable, and a short walk to the beach and other activities such as shuffleboard, cornhole, and basketball. Loved having the use of the golf cart, but with most activities so close, it wasn't a necessity. The home is decorated with a seaside theme - many pieces are whimsical and we loved making new discoveries as we relaxed in the evenings. I hope we can make it back in the future. Thanks to the Smileys for the use of their Ocean Lakes home and to Cindy for making us feel so welcome.

Cute cozy house with amazing porch
We totally lucked out on renting this cozy house for Memorial Day weekend and my daughters birthday. The kids loved that all the main facilities and beach were in walking distance and the adults loved the massive porch we spent a majority of time there! Rocking chairs and plenty of seating, we had meals out there, coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening! Coordinating checking in was seamless and easy. All around such a pleasant experience plus a MAJOR bonus for the included golf cart!

There is no doubt that you will enjoy your stay at Smiley's. I still have a fondness for these ground level units and this one is just as advertised. Loading or unloading your vehicle is a breeze, parking isn't a squeeze and the floor plan is just right. The traffic is a bit busy but no complaints.

Comfy, cozy cottage right by the ocean
We loved staying here! It's a quaint little cottage within a 2-minute walk of the ocean (just a few houses away actually). You could even walk to the recreation center (pool and arcade) within 5 to 10 minutes, because it's so centrally located, but of course we preferred to cruise on the golf cart rather than walk. They supplied all the cooking utensils we could have possibly needed, the fridge offered filtered water, and the washer/ dryer was very easy to use. We gladly used everything - from the toaster, blender, and microwave to the stove, oven, and dishwasher. Also, I do suggest talking to the owners about using the linen service that they recommend, rather than packing another suitcase full just for linens. It was easy and convenient too. Overall the best and easiest part of our week long trip was getting to relax in this cozy little cottage by the sea. It's nothing too extravagant, which fit our family and our budget perfectly. The owners are wonderful people as well, and they are a great pleasure to work with.

Cozy little cottage
We had a great time at this cottage for Spring Break.. The property is just as the pictures show. It is a cozy little cottage in a great location...close to beach, playground, basketball courts and the golf cart was a huge bonus. Home Away From Home
I have stayed in Ocean Lakes several times at several different properties. This was our first stay in this house and we had a fantastic weekend. The communication was excellent and extremely friendly. Carolina Linens was excellent to work with. The house was extremely clean and very cozy. The two bedrooms that have queen size beds are good size. The master bathroom is a good size. The two bedrooms with bunk beds in addition to the hallway bathroom are rather small. They're a good size for kids, but when you have full size (or oversized) adults, it may turn into a tight squeeze. We were really only in the house to sleep, so we had no issues. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in a great community that feels like a home away from home. We will look into staying here on our next trip to Myrtle Beach! Thanks for everything!
