"It is a really central handy location. "
We have stayed before and the recent upgrade was good. Staff didnt handle an initial booking problem very well, but it was resolved satisfactorily. Number of towels, products, amount of coffee sachets was very hit and miss (we ended up with 20 decaf and 2 full strength) but rooms were quiet, bed very comfortable and kitchen well appointed. Both remotes didnt work - they fixed one but gave up on the second one with no apology or explaination

"Central location"
We enjoyed our stay. The reception staff were amazing and very welcoming. Cleaners did a good job although they did start very early. Rooms were a good size and amenities were great.

"Great location,free shuttle superb"
We arrived early and understandably could not check in,it was disappointing that we were charged to park the car although the car park was free for guests..due to early arrival a charge of 20 dollars was taken which I felt was unnecessary. Be careful of the tumble dryers, fantastic that they have them but the are old and door falling off,a loose screw inside the machine door has torn quite a few of my clothes

"Private Room not worth the money"
Location is in a scummy area but good for getting around. Right by George Street so very easy to walk the 40mins through town to Circular Quay and The Rocks, or 15mins up the other way to the trendy Crown Street area. The room was $150 per night and dirty with itchy linen, no doona and soiled thin towels (which do not get replaced at all during the stay) and very uncomfortable. Not even close to worth the money. Would never stay private room again here. Rooftop pool is shallow but clean and relaxing. Sauna didn't work at all nor were they screening any movies the entire time we stayed. Staff were lazy and preferred to ignore the growing line of people and just continue their conversation. One lady barely spoke English and didn't understand my basic question about the walking tours available. Internet and lockers you have to pay for which is poor form. Wouldn't recommend it for the couples getaway we stayed for, maybe a solo traveller who has just come from backpacking through Asia or South America and is used to dirt and grime, not a little long weekend trip from elsewhere in Australia.

"Great accommodation 4 backpackers / short holidays"
At first, I was sceptical. I had tried one place just up the street around World Sq, and I can hear speakers blaring out late into the night-that was a one private room too, not the dorm style. Still, as I look around in this website, I found this place through sorting out guest exp vs. price. Mind you, I don't want to stay in upscale hotels as I don't have farms full of gold egg-laying ducks but I'm not interested in staying in a room worse than their cages. To top it all off, I had to be in Sydney for a competition, so being fresh for the day everyday is kind of a must. So, let's start. When I come at night, I was a bit surprised about seeing the place (with a pool and all). Even though it looks more like a kiddy pool, but hey, I don't see much places having that at all ! The overall ambience is what you can expect from a backpacker place-but minus the blaring speakers as it's away from any nearby clubs-which are good if you want to get a good sleep. The kitchen looks clean and maintained more than most places I've been to. The wifi-and later, the lock-was not expected, but the reasonable price was worth it. What made me realize why this place had good ratings and reviews-was the bed itself and the room. I was afraid of bed bugs-which can be prevalent in most places-but I was glad this place was well maintained. The check-out was easy, and I don't need to deposit any money in advance. Less to say, this place was definitely well worth the price.

Close to conference facilities, food, shopping and transport. Had some trouble communicating with hotel staff due to language difficulties but they were all pleasant enough. Room comfortable and suited our needs. A reasonable mid priced hotel in the city centre.
