Winter Weekend
Great stay! We have rented from John now for 2 years in a row. Great little place. Upstairs bedrooms can get toasty but other than that, all was as expected! We had 3 adults and 1 child and there was plenty of space. We didn't get to use the lake but we hadn't planned to anyway as its the middle of the winter, so cant comment on how close/far/easy the lake was from the house.

Skiing in the rain
The cabin was clean, and exactly as pictured. We skied at King Pine which is a GREAT family mountain and only 15 - 20 minutes from the cabin. Renters should bring bath and dish towels, firewood, and all food, drinks, and paper products. One roll of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels were provided. Dishwashing liquid was also provided. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend wedding
We stayed at this property to attend a nearby wedding. It was convenient to the wedding venue and driving distance to shopping and restaurants. As we stayed in October, the foliage was beautiful and the surroundings were very picturesque.

Great weekend!
We loved our weekend at the property. The cabin is incredibly clean and comfortable. There are no towels provided, but the owner notified me before we went. There is not a large assortment of cooking pans/sheets available. The path to the lake in the backyard has been blocked off, but it’s a 3 minute drive to the entrance to the state park. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend!

Thanks for having us as guests! The cabin was really cute and had plenty of space for 4 people. Kitchen was well equipped with cooking supplies/utensils. We loved that we could walk to the lake and there was a fire pit at our disposal (we did not use it but great touch!) Very cozy little spot. My only feedback would be to supply more toilet paper and paper towels for a 2 night stay. Otherwise, we loved it and had a blast!

A nice comfy cabin
Clean and comfortable. Needs some maintenance, but nothing serious. I had to call the owner the day prior to get entry instructions, and was surprised to hear the property does not provide towels. Lucky I called such that we could bring some along. Would be helpful to include this info on the property listing.

We had a small girls trip for the weekend and had a great time. The property was exactly as the listing states and we had just enough room. We did not walk to the lake as we were unsure about the path, but it was only 1-2 minute drive. It was nice to have small stores and some restaurants around as well. Once you were at the cabin you feel like you are deep in the woods. Great weekend overall!

Somethings to be aware of
There were good and not-so-good aspects to this rental. The downstairs living area and bedroom were clean and overall comfortable but the upstairs loft rooms were problematic. The fans did not work well and were in need of cleaning. It was a challenge to sleep even in June. My son had spider bites and found three spiders in his bed. The kitchen was very nice, but there was only plastic cutlery to eat with and no kitchen knives. I had a bit of trouble hearing back from the host with questions right before the trip ( 2 msgs and one call before receiving an answer.) Also, be aware there are no towels (bath or kitchen )provided. While not listed, on the rare times I have rented a home without towels -this was clearly highlighted by the host

This is a charming cabin in a wooded setting next to a State park. We walked over to the beach which was beautiful and great in summer. Easy access to restaurants as well as roads to gorgeous views. The house was comfortable, private, warm and charming and was surprisingly roomy.

Truly a Gem
Upon first entering we were both elated to find an elegant interior that appeared to have just been constructed. Clean is an understatement. This place is immaculate, including the tub/shower, sinks, fridge, and range; plus the air was clean and clear. It was so comfy we found it hard to leave to go leaf peeping and mountain climbing. The place actually looks better than it's pictures.

Cozy cabin, convenient location
Knotty pine interior and large windows facing the woods made for a cozy, attractive living space. Location was convenient to areas and sites to visit, but proximity to many other cabins made for some unexpected traffic and activity on the weekend. Not a problem, just unexpected. A few additional conveniences would be a good addition, like a towel rack in the bathroom and another dresser. Back deck is great but seemed to have missed the excellent cleaning of the interior. Host was quick to respond to our initial difficulty with the door lock code. All in all we had a very nice stay in a beautiful area of NH.

My family and I had a great time at this beautiful cabin! Everything we needed was there. Just bring towels and your clothes. The owner answered any questions very quickly. It was just a 2 minute walk to White Lake State Park. Just Amazing. The cabin was clean and there was plenty of room for my family. My daughter and 2 nieces had a great time as well and they’re 16!

No walking access to lake through woods at back of house
Everything was wonderful except for access to the lake through the woods from the house. We envisioned we would be able to do that, come and go to the lake by walking and this was confirmed by various reviews. This was not possible. We would have needed to pack everyone into the car and drive over to the white Lake Park. We were hoping for easy back and forth walking to the lake so we didn’t actually make it to the lake.

Great place to stay for wedding in the area
I booked the cabin for 2 nights for a place to stay close to a wedding venue, and would definitely stay here again. We didn't have time to check out the area much, but the cabin was clean, quiet and conveniently located. Awesome breakfast place within walking distance too. I did appreciate the reminder from the host to bring your own towels the day before our arrival.

Disappointing stay
The online representation was fine. The property however on the outside was dirty. The umbrella on the deck was very dirty. The propane tank was empty. Called the manager and he said we could go get a new one and he would venmo me. We decided to use the stove. The coffee maker was missing a glass pot. I emailed the manager and no response. We went out and got a new coffee maker. I have not heard whether he would reimburse me. There were two small glass bowls, no salad or serving bowls. The fire pit was a mess. The outdoors chairs were full of pine needles. It looked like no one had stayed there for a awhile.

Im sorry you were unhappy with your stay ,you did rent a cabin in the woods . its under pine trees with dirt roads . we did have Kerig coffee machine .and basic pots pans and dishes .Dirty Firepit? i rent you a cabin not a hotel room .Thank you For my first 2 star review in eight years of rental ,The cabin has not been vacant since may .

Relaxing vacation
We had a fantastic vacation at this cabin! It was easy to get to, exactly what the pictures showed, outdoor fire pit was awesome, deck was nice. The AC worked very well to cool the downstairs bedroom and 1st floor. The property was clean. Everything we needed for the kitchen was there, pots, pans, utensils, plates, mugs, glasses... The location was great, right off of route 16, close to amenities, restaurants, N. Conway and the Kangamangus. One of our favorite places to visit right around the corner was Hobbs Brewery. We would definitely return and recommend this cabin to others.

Walk to the lake
We enjoyed our stay at this very simple cabin in the woods and the best part was it's location and how easy it is to walk to white lake state park. The house itself is very simple and amenities are basic but adequate. If you have kids you should also bring DVDs and games for poor weather days. We couldn't figure out the heating systems which seemed to be very sensitive, some of the rooms were roasting and had to open some windows. Bedding could use some down free alternatives as some of us were allergic. We had a great weekend here and it's perfect for spending a ton of time outside or checking out all of the many things to see and do in the area.

Cabin was perfect for our girls weekend.
Cabin was very clean and modern but still gave that perfect cabin vibe that we wanted. Loved using the wood stove. The location was great also. You feel like your away in the woods but there are places near by if you need anything. Great experience.
