My family and i had an amazing stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they were also fantastic with the kids. The kids club was awesome and so were the movies at the pool. The resort is a bit out of town, but quite easy to get a cab or Bolt(uber) anywhere. i cannot recommend this place highly enough. will be staying here again.

Great for families / large apartment style
The room we stayed at in the Mai Khao Marriot was fantastic. Imagine staying in a 2000+ ft style penthouse; equipped with 2 bed, 2+ baths, kitchen, and a washer/ dryer. As a bonus, there is a small but well organized / fun activities to drop off the kids. The staff was also super friendly and nice. Their is a convenience store and a quite yummy late night pizza restaurant (serving more than just pizzas) at turtle village nearby. The small downfall would be that it was a bit busy when we stayed (despite saying it was down season - July) and the shuttle. This "family" style Marriot shares its services (spa / beaches) w the not so close JW Marriot. It takes a shuttle bus to get there or a 20m walk. The shuttle at times took longer than 20m and sometimes was way to small to occupy all waiting guests. Overall, I do recommend the Mai Khao Marriot.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mai Khao. The apartments are really nice. Very spacious and modern. The pool and all facilities are excellent. The staff are so kind. We had our 92 year old Father with us and they were so helpful with the buggies helping us get to the numerous restaurants at the JW Marriott. We have stayed here before and will be back next year

Great resort to stay north of Phuket
My family and I loved our stay at this resort. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Units are clean and comfortable. Washer/dryer in the unit. This resort is not right on the beach, but it is a short walk from it. Also, the hotel runs buggies every 15 minutes, if you do not want to walk. We would definitely come back.

It's called a Beach resort. but it's actually not on the beach. To get to the beach, you have to take the hotel shuttle to the other Marriott which is beachfront. However, you don't have access right to the pool and beach front amenities, such as lounge chairs. It's also over an hour drive away from Phuket's town, shopping, restaurants and beach activities. It's a nice hotel, but doesn't have much Phuket into it. You may as well staycation in your local resort.

Beautiful, spacious and clean
My family and I had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful resort. The location is perfect, away from the busy areas and close to the beach. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean with everything you need. Buffet breakfast and restaurants are fantastic as well. We stayed in Patong for two nights and couldn’t wait to get back to Mai Khao. We highly recommend this resort.

Friendly staffs. Good facilities and cleanliness.
Staffs are friendly and helpful. Good gym and swimming pools. Some parts of kids pool need some maintenance but are functional. Beach is a bit further away but have buggy available to take you there. Small lobby and small entrance, a bit hard to find when you are driving there by car. A high power pole and lines just directly at entrance and lobby. A bit concerned of magnetic field for staffs and guests who are there long term.
