Comfort in the middle of old town
Very nice hotel right in front of Cathedral and in the best location close to Fischer district and other attractions. Clean and functional The photos on hotels.com do not reflect the excellent quality of the building and the hotel. Breakfast was excellent too.

It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. No mini fridge was also missed for cold beverages.

I checked in on an unseasonably warm day. I asked if I could have a bottle of cold water. The front-desk staffer quickly pulled one from the fridge … and charged me 5€. When I took the bottle up to my room, I saw that there was already a bottle of the very same (room temp) water on a table, included as an amenity. I came away from that little interaction feeling a bit gypped out of an extra 5€. Couldn’t the clerk simply have given me the cold water or at least offered to trade it for what was already in my room??? Come ON !!!

Over charged for the breakfast. Hotels.com stated 8€ for adults and 3.50€ for children. Upon checkout the clerk tried to charge 9€ Each for all adults and children. I relented and the clerk ended up charging 9€ for the adults and 5€ per child. It’s either false advertisement or the clerk was simply trying to rip us off. We were overcharged 6.50€ total.

Golden was good.
Lovely room, really close to everything. Was only in town one night, but staff seemed great. Watched my luggage while I explored the next morning. Interesting bathroom, curves around and was nearly as big as my room!

We stayed here for one night while transitioning from the middle-Rhein to Munich. Very easy walk from the Hauptbanhof. Adjacent to the Munster and Christmas Markets. Location is perfect for exploring the Fishermen's Quarter as well. Staff was very friendly and professional. I "tried" my German language skills, but the staff was happy to converse in English. I'd stay here again if visiting Ulm in the future.

Very confortable hotel
Very confortable and well located hotel. Staff is young and friendly. Rooms are large and very clean. Wooden floor is very warm. Very spatious shower. Reach breakfast buffet, just with a little to much less fruits. The hotel is located near the Munster and quite in the centre of the town. Nearby you could find all facilities, restaurants and shopping mals.

Comfortable and right next to Ulm Minster.
Room fine and clean, if somewhat small. Those water-saving washbasin taps are a nightmare! Also, hot water not very hot around breakfast time, while the radiators just switched off at seemingly random intervals, not seeming to respond to the thermostat control.

Great stay at Goldenes Rad
The hotel is very well-located, very close to the Dom and nearby restaurants and shops. The staff is quite friendly and the breakfast is good. The wifi is also reliable. Parking took us a bit of time to find, because the nearest parkhaus was full. All in all, we have greatly enjoyed our stay in Ulm and highly recommend Goldenes Rad.

good location /no place to park drop off luggage
the room and location is great only problem is find where to just park and drop off the luggage we have to keep driving around many time to find the road to the front of the hotel then went inside to ask to drop off the luggage and ask about the parking garage

Super Zimmer mit super Lage
Das Zimmer ist sehr schön und ist in einem top Zustand. Die Lage ist super und sehr zentral. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Etwas verwirrend mit der Tiefgarage, aber nach etwas suchen doch einen bequemen Zugang gefunden. Bei einer Reise mit Kleinkindern ist ein Fenster vom Bad zum Bett etwas schwierig, da dadurch das ganze Zimmer sehr hell wird. Ansonsten ist alles echt super und der Aufzug macht das Laden und Entladen von Gepäck sehr einfach.

Central - maybe too central...
Functional, clean rooms. The hotel is very central, perfectly located to visit the old-town, the cathedral and in December, the Crhistmas market. However, if one decides to build a hotel right on the street, it's advisable to install soundproof windows at the very least. Sleeping after 05:30 am on a weekday is out of the question with all the traffic noise. :-(

This allows guests to have very short walks to all important spots of the Town. Of course, it is not like staying in a countryside hotel. We do have soundproof, new windows though a certain noise can be heard. Also, in Christmas Market days, people enjoy the place. 성당옆 깔끔한 중심가 호텔
