Horrible experience
Good facility but very much disappointing for the professionalism and service mind of the front desk staffs. The staff ONLY asked us if we want the breakfast without informing us it will be charged even if we miss it. We couldn’t go the next morning and the front desk guy says we must pay for the breakfast even if we couldn’t come for breakfast because someone bought bread and sausages! We asked to pack them to go ,if so, he didn’t reply anything, not properly looking at us and just doing the computer things. Unbelievable way of treating customer and untrained staffs. I would understand if it was a small family hotel but unacceptable for the hotel chain like this; someone went to buy a bread for us???

Excellent Hotel with Beautiful Grounds
Beautiful modern hotel in an an excellent state of cleanliness and repair. The staff were very good, as was the buffet breakfast. Highly recommended and I would certainly stay there again.

very nice hotel, nicely furnished. Good service. Clean. Handy to be able to use a free electrical verhicle charging station at the hotels parking lot.

Good hotel with parking.
Good central hotel while away on a work trip. Parking was the main reason I booked this hotel as it was more difficult to find other hotels with parking. The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable.

The staff are friendly but they don't all speak english so it can be difficult communicating what you need. The twin room beds are very narrow. The housekeeper barely touched the room when it was done it was only bins emptied and fresh towels, didn't even remove all used towels! Radiator is under the window behind the curtains so not great for keeping warm. The hotel is quiet and set in lovely grounds so if you want to be somewhere busy this is great. Oh they do have sky tv but it's all in german!

Business trip to Velbert
Excellent quality hotel at a reasonable price for the area. Impressive lobby area and some interesting decor. Unfortunately due to flight delays we missed the opportunity to try the restaurant, but breakfast was great with a good choice of hot food. Service was of a high standard. The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning but the area is very quiet and was able to leave the windows open. Will definitely stay again.

Business Trip to Velbert
The Best Western Hotel is modern, clean, tidy and quite well appointed. Nice little bar area and restaurant - Staff are friendly and speak good English - rooms are spacious and modern - all in all cant fault the hotel for a short business trip.

It was a working trip and the general temperature was below normal. The room however, could be at times VERY cold. The minimal bedding that they supplied for these temperatures was unfortunately insufficient.

Newly renovated modern and inviting spacious room
The room was spacious and well lighted. Nespresso cafe in the room was convenient to enjoy the quiet scene outside the window. The only turnoff was the smell of the paint in the room since it is newly renovated.

This is not a place I would recommend but if you have to stay there it is OK. Shower need a repair and place is quite tired, but nice breakfast :-)

Fair place to stay
Make sure you ask for one of the remodeled rooms! If not, well, it is fine but not very new. The whole place is OK but it is also used, you can see it on the ripped carpet and the wallpaper. This is not an inexpensive place, perhaps based on the location and the only place around. You need to know the area to find some good places to eat within walking distance. The breakfast was good and plenty and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Sehr geehrter Gast, ich freue mich, dass Sie bei uns zu Gast waren. Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich die Zeit für eine Bewertung genommen und uns Ihre Erfahrung und Ihren Eindruck schildern. Seit 2019 erhebt das Land auf die Parkplatznutzung von Hotelgästen einen Steuersatz von 19 %, statt 7 %. Daher kann das Parken nicht mehr wie gewohnt in den Übernachtungspreis mit einer Steuer von 7 % integriert werden. Dieses Urteil mussten Hoteliers umsetzen, zum Ärger unserer Gäste. Daher wird der Parkplatz nun separat berechnet und auf Ihrer Zimmerrechnung ausgewiesen. Bitte haben Sie hier auch Verständnis für unsere Seite. Die Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hoteleingang sind unsere Premium Parkplätze für die eine Parkgebühr von EUR 15,- statt der EUR 9,- erhoben wird. Zusätzlich haben wir das Glück, gleich vor der Tür kostenfreie, städtische Parkplätze anbieten zu können. Nach Verfügbarkeit nutzen Sie gern diese bei Ihrem nächsten Aufenthalt. Schönes, neu renoviertes Hotel, große Zimmer
Gutes Restaurant mit zuvorkommendem Service und leckeren Speisen. Wellnessbereich wurde leider nicht mit in die Renovierung einbezogen. Dies würde das sonst gute Gesamtbild noch einmal deutlich abrunden.

Unmögliches Verhalten der Rezeption Crew
Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und haben den Parkplatz bei Ankunft für den gesamten Aufenthalt bezahlt. Leider wurde dies nicht vermerkt und wir erhielten auch keine Quittung. Beim Auschecken stellte sich dies als Problem heraus. Wegen 9€ wurden wir fast 30 Minuten aufgehalten und nachdem der Manager uns darauf aufmerksam machte dass er keinen Beweis für unsere Zahlung habe, fühlte ich mich der Lüge bezichtigt. Wir haben denParkplatz ein zweites Mal gezahlt und wieder keine Quittung erhalten, obschon darum gebeten wurde. Ich bin oft privat und geschäftlich in Velbert aber werde diese Hotel nicht mehr aufsuchen. Bisher hat sich der Manager nicht gemeldet um mir die doppelt gezahlten Parkplatzgebühren zurück zu erstatten. Hinzu kommt, dass das Zimmer in Wirklichkeit ein Meetingraum war und Klappbetten das Doppelbett darstellten. Durch den grossen Abstand am Kopfende, wo das Kopfkissen nicht nach hinten abgestützt werden konnte, war die Nacht sehr ungemütlich.
