Fabulous place for a large family gathering
We loved it! Great location, close to the quaint town of Waitsfield. If you’re lucky with the weather and you have kids- amazing sledding hill! (We did insist the kids wear their ski helmets as it was long and FAST). Kitchen well supplied. The hosts were always helpful and responsive.

Awesome Ski Escape
Loved our stay! Located about 10 mins to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. Hot Tub was very nice to use for apres ski. Definitely make sure you have a 4WD car to get up the driveway - it’s very steep and icy in the winter

Great weekend in Vermont
Great house, in an awesome location for a ski weekend at Sugarbush House was well equipped (especially the kitchen) and my family really enjoyed the property and the views. Would highly recommend for a family getaway in the Waitsfield area.

Beautiful Vermont
This is a great house with everything you need to enjoy the Mad River Valley. Waitsfield and Warren are charming towns with little shops, restaurants, and a fantastic farmer’s market. The surrounding area is beautiful. There is plenty to do outdoors for families, or just relax on the porch and take it the view.

Girls Retreat Week
This home is exactly as described, and well maintained and clean. The owners and property manager are attentive and respond almost immediately to questions. We were a group of 7 but plenty of sleeping, dining and lounging options for a larger party. We would definitely choose this property again if staying in this area! Thank you!

A beautiful home and beautiful grounds
Laura and Mike were terrific and gracious hosts; everything was as advertised with towels, linens, basic kitchen amenities, hot tub, and pool at the ready. The grounds are immaculate, and the accommodations are spacious. We will definitely come again.

Mid September 2022 Rental
Our large family stayed at this rental for two nights. We were attending a nephews wedding in Waitsfield, VT. Because we have so many children, and we were able to bring our dogs for a small fee, this was a great property. The house is large and very clean. We were unable to use the pool as it was closed already, but we didn't have time anyways so we didn't mind. There was plenty of space for everyone. We had a pizza party the night before the wedding with family who came in from up and down the east coast. It was amazing and room for everyone. Plenty of parking, two of my kids brought up their own cars. The owners were super friendly, via email and txt. Always answered promptly anytime I had a question. If we were up that way again and needed a place to stay, we would definitely rent this again.

Great ski stay!
We had a great stay at this property! The house is close to Waitsfield and about 20 minutes from Sugarbush Mountain. The house is well equipped in the kitchen, and a hot tub was a plus. The house is also on a very quiet road, which we appreciated very much so. Communication with the owner was the best of any one I’ve ever encountered. The only thing I mention is that the owner said to have all wheel drive or snow tires in the winter, and I would 100% agree with that. It’s a steep climb. Overall a great stay and we’d totally do it again!!

Perfect Stay
The property was absolutely perfect. This trip was geared towards snowboarding and the home was about 15 minutes from Sugarbush. Communication with Laura was easy and fast. The ample parking was great for the cars who didn’t have 4wd to get up the driveway. The house was clean and well stocked with all of the necessities. I highly recommend this property!

Perfect stay for a ski group!
My friends and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Raphael Road House! It was more than spacious for our group, very clean and had all the supplies and amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub and fire pit were an added bonus! Laura was accommodating and communicative throughout our stay. We would definitely rent here again and would highly recommend it to anyone else looking for an enjoyable ski getaway!

We stayed here for a nearby wedding, and used each room with friends and fellow guests alike. Everyone was comfortable and delighted by the beautiful house! The patio is beyond compare: stunning view, roomy hot tub, spacious with plenty of seats - just the perfect retreat. Would love to come back in the winter!

Classic Vermont in Comfort
This incredible house with a view has everything you need to relax and enjoy Vermont and the Mad River Valley. We enjoyed the fresh air and scenic hiking trails, soaked in the hot tub and pool, watched the stars at night, and swam at several local river spots by day. There are kayak and mountain bike adventures available nearby, but we mostly hiked and swam. We also ate great meals with ingredients fresh from the local farm stands and Waitsfield Farm Market. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and appliances. When we didn’t feel like cooking, we went out to American Flatbread in Waitsfield or grabbed gourmet sandwiches from the quaint Warren Store. The Wi-Fi was excellent for working adults and a few extremely online teens. We unplugged at night with a fire pit on the patio and played board games on the screened-in porch. When we needed alone time, there was plenty of space to spread out. This house is one of the best our family has stayed in. Vermont has something for everyone. Thanks for the amazing family memories! The owners could not have been nicer or more welcoming. We love the area and this house is exceptional. We would definitely come back!

Perfection in the mountains
We loved staying here. We were two families, one with two kids (10 & 13) and one with three (10, 6 & 6). So much perfectly laid out space, gorgeous pool, ample bathrooms, perfect screened in porch, tiny pond with frogs, and such a great location! Hosts are amazing. Loved this charming place.

Nothing short of fantastic
We loved almost everything about this location. Close to town and surrounding towns of interest (Waitsfield, Stowe, Waterbury, Montepelier), sonplenty to do, see, and experience. The house was huge; lots of various spaces for every type of mood or activity. Well stocked with necessities! Some may complain about the TV setup (master and basement), but we thought it was great... kept the main common areas active and engaged. Sunsets were the best. Finally, Laura was fantastic; accommodating and quick to respond.

Wonderful week in Vermont
Great spot for a family summer vacation. Sunset view was spectacular! We enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub, huge deck, screened-in porch, beautiful yard, great location. Highly recommend.

We wanted to get away for a couple of days and ski and we have never been to this area of Vermont. The house was spacious, clean and perfect for our needs. Our host, Laura checked in periodically to see if we were in need of anything or had questions while we were there and of course super responsive to my inquiries prior to arrival. It was a great weekend. The house has stunning views of the mountains along with a peacefulness and private setting. We had such fun connecting again with our family and friends. Will definitely look at booking again. Thanks Laura!

Wonderful Family Ski vacation
Our family of 9 rented the property during the last week of Jan 2022 and we LOVED it! The house was off the beaten path which we were looking for but it was not too far from the mountain (15min) and the town of Waitsfield (7-10min). The kids loved sledding hills and the adults could not get enough of the hot tub and view from the backyard. Every morning we enjoyed watching the sunrise over Sugarbush while getting ready for a day of skiing and playing in the snow. The house was clean and VERY well stocked. Even included dog bowls & bed for our dog which warmed our heart! The two sided fireplace was our favorite to help us warm up and relax after the fund days enjoying the great outdoors. The drive way up to the house is steep so make sure you have AWD (truck or SUV) in the winter months or snow tires. We had no issue with AWD trucks even though we had several inches of snow fall a few times during our stay. Our family really enjoyed the property and can not wait to come back again. If you are a larger group (8-12) that is looking for a lovely home with amazing views outside of town... look no further!

Great quick family gathering

Amazing Location and views
Great weekend getaway. We were able to take advantage of the pool and hot tub and the mountain views were amazing! We used the kitchen to make a few meals and used the grill as well, it has all the tools you need!! Near Lawsons and close drive to Stowe/Waterbury for other fun. Would highly recommend!

Amazing Summer Stay
Thanks for the incredible vacation memories! This house has breathtaking views of the valley and mountains beyond from the back deck. The deck was a perfect spot for coffee in the morning and watching sunsets in the evening. In between, we packed in some hiking and golf, visited a few swimming spots in the area, and soaked in the last of the summer. The house, with its swimming pool, hot tub, and well-equipped kitchen, was an ideal place to unwind after an active day. This house is private and serene, with trees, gardens, and a flower-filled meadow, but it is near enough to Waitsfield and Warren to get anywhere you want to go. We enjoyed fresh tomatoes and peaches from local farm stands. We also had great meals at American Flatbread and picnicked with sandwiches from the Warren Store. There are so many outdoor activities nearby. We will have to come back again to be able to do everything we wanted to try. The kids loved the pool and wanted to swim every day. Our family of 5 had more than enough room to spread out. There were more than enough bedrooms, bathrooms, and places to read when we wanted time apart. WiFi service was excellent throughout—we were able to work when we needed to from our own separate office areas. The screen porch and deck had visibility to most of the yard, so that we could keep an eye on the kids. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We had a delightful time and hope to be back again soon.
