The hotel was in walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops.

Disliked: Amenities
I got a room with a dumpster view and I tried to change it but the front desk person replied momentarily we are sold out without checking. I can tell when a hotel is sold out! It was empty!
My room was comfortable and spacious, finding places to enjoy the food, views and uniqueness of the area was easy.
Getting hot water to the shower/lavatory took way to long and the water pressure was far to low.
I loved our stay ! They ended up having to give our room away initially for early check in but we were upgraded to a suite for accommodation which I greatly appreciated.
Convenient, very close to DC. Dinning option is excellent.

Disliked: Staff & service
The service my wife and I received was average. My wife being pregnant I thought they would have been more accommodating. The hotel was average. The many restaurants and stores around the hotel was the best part.
There weren't enough front desk staff, usually only one person on the phone with other customers. There was no heat on our first night, no water on another day and no hot water that evening, and housekeeping overlooked our room twice in a row. Just a very bad experience. I asked for an itemized receipt and provided my email address but got nothing. Not worthy of the Hilton name. I would like a refund or some form of credit.
The person checking us in was incredibly unprofessional and presumptious. This hotel no longer has a pool or hot tub and I was rudely told I should have checked the amenities. He kept talking over me, and so I simply showed him on my phone that under amenities are pictures - including of the pool and hot tub. He then changed his response and said I should have checked Hotel Info. What he should have said is that he will let the hotel know so they can update their pictures. When we asked about a suite with a hot tub he again rudely talked over us and assumed we wanted it comped. It was only $20 extra...I genuinely was not asking for a comp but we couldnt even properly communicate with him. It was like he was having a conversation with himself. The undeserved disrespect to me was upsetting to my husband and really escalated what should have been a simple conversation. I asked him for his manager; he refused and tried to kick us out. I asked him for his name (he was not wearing a nametag) and he again refused and asked me to leave, like he had a right to refuse me a paid for room based on me asking questions. So I ignored him, headed to my room, and filed a complaint. Something I've never had to do before in the decades I've been traveling.
The staff was so friendly, helpful. Very convenient area for finding food. The only thing we did not love was parking. It's located across the street, on the 4th floor. It's OK but in winter time, it's not very fun to have to get a car, leave a car over there, a little away from the hotel.
