The staff was really friendly and helpful. 5 stars for that!
Toilet needs abit more care for as one was alittle stinky. But it’s a shared bathroom so it’s not the guesthouse fault. Overall stay is ok.
The hostel was located near the center of Grundarfjordur. Instructions on accessing keys to the entrance and room was sent by email a few days before arrival. Our room was on the first floor and was clean and quiet. There were four separate rooms on our floor at each corner and one and half bathrooms. The occupants of the other rooms did not disturb others and made our stay pleasant. Only problem was figuring out the bathroom shower controls and operation as it had a hand spray and 3 side sprays. The kitchen was supplied with all the necessary items for cooking and storing food. We would stay at this hostel again since it was well organized and had a limit on occupants on each floor, allowing bathroom access and limiting noise.
Amazing, quiet place where we were accommodated, the view is magnificent, a nearby restaurant is a plus, we learned to leave our shoes at the doorsteps in other countries although I was born with this cultural practice,I was still surprised.
Great hostel, you can see the mountain from your window. Perfect base to chance northern lights.
Shower was very basic but over all good value for money.
Hostels are surprisingly quite good in iceland. This place has different location but we ended up next to the bay/ocean or something. Didn't get to take advantage because it was only to sleep. Full common kitchen area to cook and have breakfast on your own.
Very good location, and having a kitchen is very convenient. I wish the kitchen is equipped with oil, butter, etc.

It’s basically a youth hostel with shared bathroom and shower. The bedroom is very small as well as the shower. I actually could not take a shower for that reason. There are no amenities provided to justify the cost of this accommodation
Awesome hostel. we rented the apartment which was on the water.
There is a grocery store in walking distance.
Cruise ships dock in this town.
lot of good restaurants.
The check-in was fine, but a quirk is the check-in location is not close to the property. After checking in, the receptionist gave us a map with clear driving directions to the property. The property itself is very clean, with a large living room, and you may even have a view of Kirkjufell.
Hosts were lovely and super helpful, Wonder conversation and delicious breakfast!

I found “PERIOD BLOOD SPOT” on bedsheet, so disgusting!!!
Room/bathroom/pillows covers/baket covers so bad smell. If you want to stay here, bring air freshener with you.
Staff good
We arrived early, receptionist was accommodating to let us check in earlier. A comfortable stay. Nearby walking distance has a nice and cosy restaurant. Big kitchen with comfortable sofa and facilities if you intend to do some cooking. We liked the rule of keeping your shoes downstairs; hence, the corridor and rooms were clean and tidy.
We stayed in a building that overlooked the water. The room was small, but nice. My only complaint was that the towels had seen better days and smelled like sulfur. The surrounding area has 3 restaurants and was close to hiking trails, the national park, and several waterfalls.
