We have stayed here before and we again had a lovely time! Everything was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful.

A beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundingsPosted Jul 20, 2014
Cons: No improvements needed
Location: We didn't need to go outside the hotel grounds. The weather was lovely so we walked around the grounds.
We came for a one night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the time we arrived to the time we left everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the staff fantastic and the food amazing. Our room was wonderful. We couldn't fault the hotel at all.

Great hotel, but food let it downPosted Jun 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is spectacular, with great views and wonderful gardens. We were however disappointed with the food in the restaurant. It was a real shame that it didn't match the high quality of service.

Detox from London with a Relaxing WeekendPosted Apr 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
It's under an hour from London Victoria and then about a 10 minute (£14) taxi ride to the hotel (there are trains from London Bridge too). We got upgraded to a junior suite when we arrived and the room was breathtaking. Our 4-poster bed was really comfy with a down comforter and scented down pillows. We got room service and read and they watched DVDs from their library. The bathroom was huge and had a clawfoot bathtub and a big walk-in shower. It really is an amazing place to detox yourself from London chaos. There is a downside though and for us that was the food. First of all it's expensive and we didn't want to leave the resort so there isn't much of a choice but to pay a lot. Beyond the price we just really didn't like the food, so it was a double whammy - bad food at a high price. To be fair, I'll say that one of us is a vegetarian and the other is somewhat picky so we like our food pretty plain and don't like to eat a fancy £100 meal that looks gorgeous, tastes okay and leaves us still hungry. But the hotel is willing to make you what you want even if it's not on the menu, as long as they have the ingredients in their kitchen. Lastly I would say this isn't a great place for small children. I am not sure if there are rooms for the disabled or elderly but I believe the hotel itself and grounds would work because the important things are on the ground floor. You can walk the grounds and they'll even loan you wellies - I highly recommend soaking up the fresh air!

Weekend getawayPosted Apr 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
We booked this weekend stay as a treat to ourselves and it was everything we had hoped and more. From the moment we arrived we were treated like the only people there. The food was amazing and even though it was fine dining it was better than expected. The room was perfect and the hotel staff are wonderful. We will definitely return.
