ABOUT 6 MILES FROM LEEDS NOT IN LEEDS Not HOTELPosted May 6, 2015
Pros: the family room was very large it would be good for disability person because its on the ground floor and you can drive close to your room
Cons: THEY SHOULD provide maps how to get to there hotel and back Again when booking IF YOU ARE DRIVING
Location: Leeds is a very god stop over if your going to Edinburgh 4 to 5 hours driving
the hotel is not a hotel it is a pub with accommodation is out in the back of the hotel. The hotel is in Woodford not Leeds the rooms where clean and close to the pub .the food in the pub was very good. the easy way to go to Leeds is by train one stop. But the time you spend driving in to Leeds and pay for pay for parking or train fare you are better off to pay more to stray in the city its very easy to drive in but not so easy to get back to the hotel

Very disappointingPosted Feb 12, 2015 on Hotels.com
Room was an out building attached to the Pub,the free wifi did not extend to the room, which meant that any email/work/telephone calls had to be made from the bar of the pub in view and hearing of the public. The room was extremely cold and the shower area looked extremely tired and not so clean. All in all never stay here again

As a seasoned guest, staying away 15 nights per month I was not expecting much as the booking was well under budget. Started of weak and got better. No reception so asked at the bar for booking in. Barman was very polite and efficient. Showed me to my room which is the old stables so not above the pub. Therefore no pub noise though a little bit of road noise, though at acceptable levels. Room was very cold and had a strong smell of damp (Although it was -1 degrees and very windy outside.) Half a can of lynx and a bit of fiddling with the oil/radiator and things started to improve. Just needed airing a bit and was fine by second day. Bathroom could have been cleaner but OK overall. No room service (though not expected). The pub food was excellent for the price and the atmosphere very friendly. Breakfast in the pub was excellent and the staff were very attentive and without fault. Summary. Would be better in summer, superb food, staff and value for money. I am booking again for next week.

Stayed in this hotel on whilst on business. Found the rooms very basic. The room radiators where on but the room never go warm. The bed covers covered were they touched. other than that it was fine.

Needed hotel to visit friendsPosted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Closeness to venue visiting
Cons: Breakfast staff, more alert. Napkins could be larger. Use of plates as saucers, why? Sauce bottles needed cleaning.
Staff friendly, breakfast staff could have been more alert. Didn't take order for food until I asked. When food arrived it was on cold plates. Toast brought before meal. All seemed a little mixed up!! Tops of sauce bottles needed cleaning. Napkins size of a postage stamp. A comfortable nights sleep, but disappointing breakfast.

Almost good value...... shame about the aromaPosted Oct 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Staff very pleasant and obliging and breakfast more than adequate, if a bit slow. Room a little tired and in need of modernising, comfortable bed and tea and coffee- making facilities. Bigger problem was the overpoweringly sickly sweet perfumed smell as if some previous unpleasantness was being masked, so windows had to be left open all night.
