Immaculate Cottage, Great Location
Ric’s cottage has been renovated to the highest standard and has all the amenities for an extremely comfortable stay in Whitstable. A bit of trouble initially finding a parking space but once we found one, we had no need to use the car again, as everything was within walkable distance. Lovely garden for sundowners! Slight issue with a toilet, which was resolved immediately. Great selection of restaurants and coffee shops plus lots of independent shops to peruse at your leisure. Thanks Ric for a great stay in Whitstable. Look forward to returning soon.

NYE getaway
Lovely cottage in a perfect location for exploring Whitstable and the coastline. Cottage had everything we needed for a cosy long weekend. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the luxurious bath after long walks. Kitchen was well stocked and the cottage was warm and welcoming. We are planning a return visit in the summer to enjoy the outdoor space too.

Great Location - Great Place To Stay - Super Clean
The transaction from start to finish was super smooth, from checking in to checking out. Also enjoyed the bedrooms were on the upper floors and the livingroom and kitchen on the lower floor. Another BIG PLUS is the washer/dryer and extra toilet - Yes this place has 2 toilets which works out perfect for two adults! The firesplace was enjoyed on the cool nights and the outside yard was equally nice with a nice bottle of wine! Greatly enjoyed staying at this beautiful flat and we will be returning. Thank you Ric! Gorgeous central location, stone throw from beach.
Cottage was great, had everything you needed, all mod cons, easy heating to use and kitchen fully stocked with all you need. Lounge comfy with lovely furniture and touches of warm blankets. Bedrooms furnished nicely, comfy beds and linens, huge bathroom. Outside courtyard a gorgeous sunny sheltered spot, landscaped to high standard. Great pubs and restaurants a plenty so close. Can’t wait to return!!

Wonderful White Cottage in Whitstable!
We booked the cottage for my sisters 60th birthday and we had a most fabulous time. The cottage was well equipped, clean, tastefully designed and a stones throw from everything that Whitstable has to offer. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat! Thanks Ric.

A wonderful Mini Break!
Thank you providing a wonderful house and amenities. The property was better than a hotel with classic and modern decor combined throughout. From fluffy towels and comfy beds to first class kitchen facilities. The garden was well used by us sitting sharing wine and stories. Thank you Ric for making our stay so easy. Property is perfect for a stay in Whitstable only a very short walk to the best restaurants - Birdies and Wheelers!

White Cottage Whitstable
Beautiful modernised cottage, fully equipped with everything needed. Enclosed sunny garden ideal for dogs.Central location close to shops, restaurants, beach and harbour. Downsides are no easy parking, very steep stairs to attic bedroom unsuitable for elderly or infirm, noise from outside pub over the road until midnight on average. However, disturbance from pub would not happen in bad weather, and would not be a problem if bedroom windows were kept shut!

Dog Friendly Break Away
Had a great week away at this lovely refurbished cottage. Has everything we could have needed whilst we were there. Bedding and towels smelt amazing. Great location for all amenities. Only down side is the parking availability but we got lucky when we were there. Loved the outside space, for lazy breakfast and an afternoon cuppa or Gin. Loved all the extras, such as candles, bath soak. Would highly recommend

Wonderful Whitstable
The cottage was wonderful. It was stylish, clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend stay. The location was ideal. It was close to the shops, restaurants and the beach. There was a pub opposite but the noise was limited and it didn’t disturb our say. The host was communicative and gave good tips about the beat local places to visit and eat. All in all, highly recommended.

We had a great holiday, cottage couldn’t be more convenient for harbour; shops and beach. Did not need to use the car at all. We found parking easy, but very narrow road. Pub opposite was a bit noisy but the double glazing was super and we were not disturbed. Really helpful owner. Would recommend.

Gorgeous cottage in superb location
We've been visiting Whitstable for years but never using a rental property like this with children. What a great location! Near to everything inc a very short walk to the harbour / beach / shops and so much more. The house is stunning and very well equipped. Great courtyard garden that the kids and adults alike enjoyed. Sunny mornings with a coffee out there were bliss. Comfy beds. Huge bathroom. Fresh & airy. Everything in great proportion and great additions like alexa and sonos sound system. We will absolutely use again. The stairs throughout would not be ideal for very small children alone or unsteady on your feet as no handrail. Parking was right outside but this may not always happen but easy enough to pull up and unload. There is a pub opposite which is lovely and even with small children the noise wasn't an issue for us but light / early evening sleepers may notice this in the summer. Ric responded quickly to everything and very thorough. Thank you!!!!

Great base to explore Whitstable
My wife, daughter (2) and I stayed for 2 nights at Ric's place and would thoroughly recommend it for anyone else looking for somewhere to stay in Whitstable. The interior is impeccable and the outside space is a bonus (though sadly the weather wasn't on our side for our trip). There's even a pub on the other side of the street - which has to be a good thing! Would certainly recommend and would love to stay again.

Excellent short stay.
We enjoyed our stay in this well-appointed, very nicely renovated property in a great location. We found it to be comfortable, well-equipped and relatively spacious for a terraced house. The small garden is also charming although we were unable to sit out in it due to the seasonal weather. Highly recommended.

Fabulous cosy cottage
We had a lovely few days in this gorgeous cottage. Everything was as described, spotlessly clean and we loved the log fire. It was very conveniently located close to the marina and all the shops and restaurant. The owner. Ric, was super helpful and gave us loads of suggestions about where to go and what to do. We will definitely be coming back.

Perfect position.
What a wonderfully set up house this is. Easy access to everything in Whitstable, beach, food, drinks, coffee shops etc. Only tiny, tiny issue was parking. No problem for us as we are used to lots of walking. Only managed to get near the property once, but this did not spoil the stay. All the amenities in the house were of good or better standard. The underfloor hearing was an inspired decision on behalf of the owner. Would definitely stay again

We had an incredible stay in the cottage. It was the nicest self catering place we have stayed, ever! Everything was pristine and well equipped. Our kids loved the attic bedroom and how close everything was. Ric was brilliant at answering any questions we had.

My friend and I had a lovely time in this cottage- it was clean, comfortable and spacious. The check in process was super simple and the owner comms were great. Two super tiny points (not big enough to mark down overall rating but maybe worth changing and/or updating the listing): 1. The fire didn’t have a fire glove or any tools to use (poker, pincers etc) which would have been useful! And 2. The pub opposite was super loud at closing time; appreciate owner can’t do much about it but it did disturb sleep a little (however I am very happy to note that it was a Friday and sat night we stayed so might be different in week and also, again, it was too bad!) Another super plus with this place is location- so close to high street and all the shops/cafes etc. would recommend it to others!

Flying in from the US needing somewhere quiet but close to amenities whilst dealing with family issues, White Cottage was perfect. Ric the landlord was prompt with my late booking and other requests, and could not have been more helpful. The property has been beautifully renovated; is tastefully furnished and well equipped; the main shopping street and harbour are only a short walk away; there is a traditional pub nearby; and it is a quiet, welcoming and comfortable. I would highly recommend White Cottage for whatever reason you find yourself in Whitstable.

great vibes great location!
We really liked staying there and as it as pre-Christmas season the host had even decorated nicely. A beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated cottage in a perfect location to experience Whitstable. The only downside that should be considered is the staircase to the 2. bedroom. It is extremely step, narrow and with varying height steps. Be very aware, especially if you tend to get up in the night. Otherwise perfect and highly recommended :-)

Great property and great location
We’ve just got back from a lovely stay at White Cottage. It was our first time visiting Whitstable and we loved it. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants and the beach was great for our dog. The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is very well styled and equipped. The garden is private and secure which is also great for the dog and small children and would be a lovely space to sit in the warmer months. The location was great for the shops and the harbour, both being just a few minutes walk away. Parking is unfortunately really hit and miss so be prepared for that. This is the only negative I can mention but Ric did inform us of this and gave an alternative car park to use nearby if necessary. Not much you can do about this as I guess the lack of parking comes with the central location. Luckily we did get a space outside but very nearly didn’t! We have had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend White cottage to family and friends.

We had a lovely few days at the property, it’s modern and comfortable with lots of space. We really enjoyed the fire, the back garden and the comfortable bed. The bathroom is massive and really modern also. The stairs to the loft are steep as noted on the description but easily managed for us. Location couldn’t be better, so many nice food places and shops around and lots of places are dog friendly. Communication was great. Highly recommend.

Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the stairs, we do understand that, but these are the original stairs to the loft and we try and provide a warning in the property description that they are very steep. I am glad that you were able to navigate them safely though. Rgds Ric

Nice house. Equipment quite basic in kitchen but good enough for a few days stay. Location is just of high street and a few minutes from beach. Beds comfortable. Bathroom pipes were a bit noisy if you didn’t turn off taps properly! Lots of clunking… it’s near two pubs but they finished up outside and 9 and 10pm. Small garden but fine for four. Stairs to attic room steep but fine for older children. Couldn’t see any recycling facilities which was disappointing .

I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Re the pipes, it is an old house and despite renovation we still suffer from some issues if the bathroom tap isn't fully closed which our plumbers have struggled to resolve. Regarding the recycling, we have a contract with a commercial firm who collect our waste and commit to recycling centrally - so I hope this alleviates any concerns you have on that front.
