Unfortunately our room was next to checkin area and also an exit door. Was pretty much noisy entire time in room. Was pretty cramped as well. Luck of the draw I guess. View was beautiful outside and lookout areas, lots of trails, and close to falls. Supper buffet and breakfast was great. Would probably do a cabin next time.

We loved the area but the room was a disappointment. The reviews of the king room were very good but our room Looked out over the ventilation system. This beautiful area and we looked out the window at all the external ventilation. Not acceptable.

The great part - The lodge has a great rustic charm, beautiful setting and very quiet. The entire staff was always very pleasant and willing share information and to help with any problems. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and big fluffy towels in the bathroom. Our stay also included a, very good, breakfast bar in the dining room. The downside - Only a small percentage of rooms are ADA accessible. The staff was willing to change rooms, but no ADA ones were available. The showers are two handles, no anti scald. If we can get the ADA room, we will go again.

The room was clean and the lodge was very relaxing. Sat by the fireplace and relaxed after a day of hiking. Only downfall was the room needed coffee items and would have been nice to have lotion and hand soap. But over all very unique and cozy lodgr.

No service on my cell, asked about wifi and check said yeah there’s WiFi but didn’t supply the code. When we did finally get a code it didn’t work. We moved rooms and then the TV don’t work. Food was good and area was beautiful. my first room had a card saying it was last cleaned on Dec. 10, 2023.

It was raining so alot of the trails were underwater and someone didnt clean up after thier dog and he had a very adequate sized lunch. The room was clean but had seen a good long life. Hopefully one day they have extra funding and can update the cabins.

Our room was dirty, though the bedding and towels were very clean. Someone's trail mix was leftover on the floor. You can hear people walking on the floor above you. Our view was of the patio, which is a very lovely patio, but we had to close the drapes so no one could see into our room, which they could easily do. They have a wheelchair ramp and parking, but there are a lot of stairs to get to the dining room, and stairs just about everywhere else besides getting into the lobby.

I was extremely disappointed in the room. First, I thought we booked the lodge and ended up with a cabin. It was dirty, the WiFi wasn’t working and apparently the cabins and connected. The person in the adjoining cabin sounded like they were in the room with us. We heard him coughing and snoring all night for two nights. It could have been a really nice experience had the room been clean, the WiFi worked and there was some level of sound proofing between the two cabins.

The hotel is ok. They had some snow when we went there so there was no breakfast, which supported to be continental, hard to believe they could not prepare in advance for the weather and stock up on bagels and cream cheese. We were only a couple who stayed at the hotel those nights.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at your lodge inside the state park, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the overall experience. First and foremost, the location is undeniably breathtaking. Nestled within the state park, the lodge offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the tranquility of nature. The surrounding views are nothing short of spectacular, and waking up to the sights and sounds of the wilderness was a rejuvenating experience. However, I must admit that arriving late at night was a bit intimidating. The secluded location, coupled with minimal lighting, made the journey a tad spooky. It might be beneficial to enhance the signage or lighting around the entrance for the comfort of late-night arrivals. Once inside, the charm of the lodge quickly overshadowed any initial concerns. The rustic ambiance and cozy interiors provided a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff's hospitality further contributed to a pleasant stay, making me feel welcome and at home. The real highlight, though, was the access to the park's hiking trails. The variety of trails catered to different skill levels, and each one led to awe-inspiring viewpoints. The hikes were not only invigorating but also allowed me to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding the lodge. Close to Cumberland Falls - rooms are dated but fairly clean. No microwave. Wi-Fi was adequate. Food quality is always been an issue. Last time it was dinner, this time it was breakfast that we tried. Premade and not selection or buffet. Only other choice is the gas station a few miles away that has Hunt Pizza.

Old Charm
It was a cute older lodge with older decor, but that is what added to its charm. The rooms were small but cozy. The beds were comfortable, and it had a heat light in the bathroom to keep you toasty warm. It was very reasonably priced. The front desk clerk was pleasant and welcoming. There was a restaurant in the premises that served a free breakfast but was also open to purchase lunch or dinner. It has a lot of walking trails, but it was a little chilly when we were there. The property is beautiful.

Moldy ceilings and Thin walls Me and my new husband went for our honeymoon (we wanted to see the moon bow!) and in order to try and be considerate to others got a studio cabin instead of staying in the lodge. What was advertised as a studio cabin (the woodland rooms) is actually at best a duplex hotel room. The "kitchenette" is no more than you would find in the average hotel (a sink, mini fridge and microwave). The bathroom ceiling is growing its own species of mold. And I don't mean a little, the whole ceiling is covered in little black spores. Worst of all was the fact the 2 "cabins" are connected by an adjoining door (similar to some hotel rooms). We were woken at midnight to the fella in the room next door video chatting his mom. Don't get me wrong I'm glad he's "feeling led spiritually" and all the family is doing well Someone named Sara has a new little one. I'm sorry to hear "sara" and her dad have had some sort of fall out. But I didn't expect to listen to his 2 hour long conversation word for word OR to be able to hear the person on the other end of the chat so clearly. The staff at the lodge were wonderful and answered any questions i had during our stay but 5 star customer service can only fix so much

Gorgeous, historic stone lodge
Beautiful, historic stone lodge. A treat to be able to stay here. Our river view was breathtaking. Lacks some modern conveniences like fridges and microwaves in the room. Didn’t have cell service but there was WiFi in the restaurant. Free hot breakfast including scrambled eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed being able to hike to the falls. Half mile down, half mile up. lol!
