One of the hardships we face with having rooms that open to the outdoors is flies entering in the rooms. We do our best to ensure there are no flies prior to guests entering, however, it is hard to prevent it when people are walking in and out of the room after checking in. We are happy to hear our front desk worker was able to assist you with the two problems you came across when staying with us. We also appreciate your feedback on our bedding -- we have been putting our profits towards renovating rooms like the one you stayed in, however, getting new bedspreads is in our future plans! Just as we understand our property is not for everyone, we also know that our mattresses are not for everyone -- as much as we would love to be able to adjust our mattresses to fit all of our guests needs, it is sadly not possible. Even with this understanding, we still want to apologize this was one of the factors that made your stay not enjoyable. We are in the process of renovating a group of rooms every off season which includes new carpeting, however, we do try to keep up with the carpeting in our standard rooms and appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we can fix it for the next guests. As for the pillow cases and linens we can ensure,100%, that our linens are washed between everyone's stay but there are stains that become permanent. As we mentioned earlier, we understand our property is not for everyone -- we have been putting our profits towards renovating rooms, although, upgrading our bedding and linens are in the future plans. Hi Tyriek,We are sorry to hear you had to sleep in your truck when you had plans of staying in one of our rooms. Our office started closing at 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 17th as we are now in the off season. We updated our website, third party sites, and the sign on our door to inform potential guests looking to stay at our property. Our office has a procedure for workers to follow when guests arrive after our office closes, the first step being to attempt getting in contact with the guest(s). The front desk worker had tried to reach you by phone three times with the number your provided on your reservation -- the phone would ring once and soon was followed by beeps. They attempted to call you off their personal cell phone as well and an automated message played that the line was disconnected. Even with failure to reach you by phone and no way of leaving you a voicemail, the worker messaged you through Expedia with all the information you needed for staying on our property, and most importantly, getting your room key. The front desk worker was between the office and turning off property lights until 8:10 pm and returned to the office until 8:30 pm. A late arrival packet was left outside for you at 8:03 pm with your name on it. Even though the office closes, there is a couple who lives on property and assists guests as needed after hours. The number to reach them can be found on our office door and is stated at the end of our voicemail if guests call the office phone. Our office and Expedia both have been trying to get in contact with you by phone, Expedia messaging, and the email associated with your Expedia account. We truly feel bad you ended up sleeping in your car, we would have assisted you in a heartbeat had we been able to get in contact with you.
