Wifi only lobby area, Far from Metro, Comfy room

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Room Condition - Comfy bed, Air-Con temp
Cons: Wuhan transportation knowledge of staff.
Location: Take Bus 411 to Yellow Crane and Hubu snack street, Hubei Museum. 3 Train stations are able to go by Metro, Wuhan/Wuchang/Hankou.
The Room is clean and nice, comfy bed, compact bathroom completed with toiletries. Air-Con/room temp is good. 2 Small Bottles of drinking water and Kettle provided in the room. Too far from Metro, walk about 20 mins walk but near Bus stop which has bus no. 411 passed (too many attraction place in Wuhan). Only WiFi in lobby area, not entire hotel, lobby area is also smoking zone for Chinese (even there is "No Smoking" sign). English speaking hotel staff, they don't know too much detail necessary for tourist, but there is Google btw. Staff are happy to write attraction place in Chinese for you. Plus 20Y for breakfast. There is small grocery shop nearby hotel 3mins walk, open till late night. There also another choices like hotel on Jianghan Road. From Airport take Hankou route Airport Bus 17Y to end of the bus route and take taxi about 10-15 mins to hotel or 3km. walk.

Wonderful for a Cheap Hotel

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Good efficient staff, Cheap
Cons: Offer breakfast (continental at least), Wifi in rooms.
Location: Location was so so. Quite a few good restaurant selection nearby. A bit far from metro (about 20 minute walk).
We stayed there only for one night. Arrived late and left early. The staff was good, spoke well English and efficient. The room was small but clean. It looked like a ship cabin! For the price, it was wonderful. The WiFi only works in the lobby area, but they set up some couches and table so it was cosy to check emails and plan stuff from the common area. I wouldn't choose that hotel for a longer stay than 1 night in Wuhan, but perfect as a transit hotel. Very clean.

The 8-nights stay at ibis Wuhan was great! The staffs are friendly and the hotel is clean. The metro station is just one bus stop away and within walking distance. Convenient to travel around.

Good value

Posted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable
Cons: Provide free wifi at the room, not just the front lobby
Location: Since I only stay overnight and leave early to catch my flight, no time to play near by. But, the location seems pretty convenience for everything
Arrived really late due to the flight delay, but they still provide good service at the mid-night.

Great Value For Money

This hotel would be perfect if only: 1) they actually enforced the No Smoking signs; as you probably know, everybody and their mothers smoke in China, however, this hotel has a no smoking sign in every public area. Too bad they never enforce it. In fact, they even promote smoking as the lobby has Tea service and they actually bring you ashtrays, despite the fact that the area has a very conspicuous NO SMOKING SIGN in it. I had to tell every smoker to put out their cigaettes, by pointing to the sign. But it gets tiring and bothersome to be the "bad guy." People smoke on their elevators too, despite the presence of big no smoking sign, even one time, there was a lady that worked for the hotel and this guy was smoking on the elevator, she did not say anything, so I had to point at the sign once again to make the guy stop. 2) if they changed the only song that is played on a loop over and over and over and over and over again; believe me, I stayed in this hotel 20 days, after the first week this gets to be extremely annoying, yes it is a soothing piano melody, but come on! the only song over and over again, at least change the freaking song every day, it's not that they don't have muzak in China, is it???? 3) aside from these annoying things, the hotel room was always clean, the service good, the breakfast was only 20 Yuan (about 6 Yuan per US dollar) and pretty good for the money.
