Convenient, clean place to stay
Really lovely stay. The service was very good - they arranged a vegan breakfast for me - and the staff were so polite. The public bath is very convenient too.

Good Place to Stay
Excellent friendly hostel at Yugiharma beach near Kamakura. Good facilities and helpful staff. Lots of activities can be arranged at this hostel.

V modern & clean with good facilities
Really nice place overall with excellent facilities and nicely located close to the beach. V modern & clean. Only strange thing for me was not having shower facilities (for dorm) on same floor as room - made for a slightly embarrassing walk past the communal area each morning dressed only in a towel... otherwise great

Great place
Amazing place - i would call it a 5-star hostel. It is run like a high-end hotel - professional staff, brand new rooms and amenities, comfortable beds, immaculately clean. It's located in the heart of Kamakura, steps away from the beach. My only concern was that the partition between rooms is not sound proof, so we could hear the other room. Other than that, great place.

This property was right near the beach (too cold to visit really) but I think that's awesome! There is a restaurant on site which is super convenient. Great Buddha is a 15min walk and there is plenty other things to see and do. Lots of little shops around too. very quiet and comfortable location. Property was clean and secure which is perfect. USB outlets in each bunk (great for US travelers!)

I have a great experience staying here for 2 night in Kamakura. WeBase Hostel is cool and the price is acceptable. Location is near to the station. The staff is super nice and friendly. The room is clean and I love the lounge very much!

Loverly Modern Hostel
Stayed here after a trip round Japan. Loverly hostel with helpful staff. Good facilities laundry, showers etc. Nice Japanese style bath. Great after a day walking around all the temples and shrines in Kamakura

Recommend for dorm or larger group stay.
Dormitory rooms were modern and clean but double room was cramped and had stained carpet. Overall nice, clean property. Would recommend staying in dormitory rooms or larger rooms but not double room. There was a yoga room but only open for guests at 3000 yen per hour. Would suggest allowing guests to use as common space when there are no classes scheduled. Would have been nice to stretch out since dorm and room quarters are tight.

Regarding the space however, we hope you understand that we are a hostel with limited space to offer in Kamakura. Regarding the yoga room opening to other guests, we usually rent the space out for larger groups to use for meetings, seminars, and get-togethers for example, thus the price setting. (In fact, it was our first time getting a request for personal use.) We will make sure to take your opinion into account for future improvements. The hostel is very clean and service is excellent. The only thing I would like to see imprpvement is the 4PM check-in time. I hope that the staff will allow to check in if the room is ready.

The best dormitory hostel I’ve ever visited ! I will absolutely visit this place again when I trip kamakura again. All memory in Kamajura is so so good including memory in webase ! I really recommend you to visit here once in your trip experience.

The hostel is very stylish, clean and had everything i needed for my stay. It is located just a few minutes away from the station and about a 2-minute walk to the beach- which was fantastic! Staff were friendly and helpful. I also joined a yoga class there and it was a really great experience. Showers were very clean and nice. Coin laundry is available as well. The beds were comfortable and quite spacious. The only let down was that the bed frames/ walls were thin and therefore noise control was not very good.

Overall good but bad air conditioning setting
Overall good except the air conditioning . Not about the device but the interior setting that make one room very cold and the other will never be covered well, especially when the temp is 37degree C. Staff respond to my request to add a fan in the hot room, but still a sleepless night for whole family. All other are a nice place to try !

The place is very nicely decorated, we had a family room for 6 of us, so they changed the sofa seats into beds for us so that we have enough beds. It was easy to find, quite near the station. The facilities and breakfast were great as well. Only thing is we cannot check in earlier, but could drop our luggage at the place.

Lovely hostel, more like a hotel. Easy walking distance to station, shops, beach and all shrines etc. Really clean and modern. Restaurant quite expensive for very small portions of very tasty food though, so don't eat there if you are very hungry or poor!

Almost a Hotel
Webase is a very clean hostel, the bed was very comfy and had its own power socket, light and curtain for privacy. The hostel itself is very modern and up to date and seems a lot more like a hotel than a hostel. There isn’t many bad points about webase other than there are no private showers and only has communal showers so if you don’t like showering naked with your own gender than this may not be a great choice for you. It’s less than five minuets to the beach and is surrounded by sights to see with some good places to eat. I would stay again and only left because I couldn’t extend my stay due to it being fully booked.

Good Vibe Hostel
A nice place to stay in Kamakura. A good atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. In the common area they have Yoga, Japanese Tea Ceremony and other events on various days of the week. That you can participate in. They have a loverly style Japanese Bath (Separate for Men & Women). A great place to relax after a long day walking around the temples and gardens of Kamakura.

Great Hostel in Kamakura
We had a short two night stay at WeBase Kamakura. The hostel is not your typical hostel, it is new, and all the facilities were great including the shared bathrooms and showers. We were a family of three with one young child and everyone enjoyed themselves. We stayed in a private four bunk room. The common areas were a great place to hang out and read a book or grab a snack from one of the many vending machines. The staff was excellent and spoke english extremely well. We had a slight mix up with our room booking but it was taken care of before we arrived and followed up on before we left. Everything was clearly communicated. The shower rooms are great as they have individual stalls for each person, there were about 8 or 10 stalls on the floor we were staying on and there was no lineup at around 8:30am. Although we weren't there during the hotter months, the location is just a two minute walk to the beach so I can see how this would be a fun place to stay in the summer. We can highly recommend WeBase. Although it's listed as a hostel it feels more like a hotel with common areas.

Good location and immaculate.
This is a near perfect property. The only failure is the size of the rooms, which are very cramped compared to all the wasted space in the communal areas...bad building design. The smoking area is a hole, very uninviting. The hot bath was wonderful. This place is convenient for the local train station and visiting the local area.

Perfect location, amazing value
Beautiful hostel with fantastic facilities, felt very safe staying there alone. The shared bathing facilities were nice. There were some noisy kids running around in the lounge area though, which made it hard to use that as a place to get work done. Excellent location, a short walk from Yuigahama station and the beach. Attractions around Hase station are also easy to reach on foot.

Very clean modern hostel. One of the nicest!
Probably the nicest hostel I've stayed in. Very modern and clean, the room we stayed in was a 4 person bunk room. Each bed has its own woodern pod with a curtain along one side. Inside there are is a usb and plug socket, light and coat hanger. The beds are comfortable and large. I am 6 foot and had plenty of room around my feet. The Onsen is clean and relaxing. There are also private showers available.

Located within short walk from the train station and the beach. Only issue that the train station is a very small one and there isn't any convenience shop nearby. They do not provide bottled water. The vending machine ran out of mineral water for the night I was there and I could only drink boiled water and green tea. Hostel was new and clean. Only 2 out of 4 beds were occupied in my room and it was a rather quiet and peaceful.

Great hostel
This is an excellent hostel - extremely clean and brilliant facilities. Ideal location for exploring Kamakura, and only about 15 minutes walk from the JR train station. Highly recommend for anyone planning a short stay in Kamakura.

Great location in a unique building
The family room at WeBase worked well for us, although they could add a few pieces of furniture for hanging clothing. Every other aspect was great, quiet, clean, large room and the location was perfect for us, close to the beach and the little local train station. We didn't check out the shared baths, so can't comment on those facilities. Downstairs has a nice reading/sitting area with kitchen facilities and vending machines for snacks and drinks. Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommending things to do.

One staff has very poor attitude.
Overall first impression is amazing as the hostel is tastfully designed. The room and beds are quite comfortable. Shared shower facilities are amazingly clean. Check-in and check-out are also easy. However,i was very disappointed that when i approached the receptionist on 6april morning about transport options to Haneda airport. She simply said don't know not sure and asked me to check myself. There was no others waiting to be served by her but she just couldn't care to check anything. So i asked her about the information sheet webase prepared, again she said not sure. It is not about communication or language. She just couldn't be bothered. If she is the first face that all your guests see, i am sure reviews won't be good. Please investigate and give her more training. The rest of the staff seem nice, smiley and pleasant.

First of all, this hotel was one of the best hotels with the price!! We stayed in the family room with 4 adults and 2 kids, and it was very spacious, immaculate, and quite!! Just a minute walk to the beach and couple minutes to the nearest train station. The room came with the private shower room which was very convenient for families with babies like us. My sister and brother in law always stay at the nicest and expensive hotels, but when they saw this hotel and went into the room, they were amazed!! They even said they want to take parents at this hotel next time. The hotel seems to have a lot of singles and young people due to the affordability and providing a lot of bunk beds, but we guarantee that even older people and families will enjoy staying in family rooms because of amenities, locations, and cleanliness!! We will definitely want to come back when we visit Kamakura area again!! Thank you very much for your service!
