Super location but expensivePosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Appearance, history, location
Cons: Better description of room size; staff asking guests to have consideration for other guests after midnight
Location: Close to lots of Chateaux including Versailles, 6 miles from Maisons-Laffitte racecourse, St Germaine-en-Laye a really nice town with good restaurants
This hotel looks magnificent from afar but needs a lick of paint on the windows, which look as if they haven't been painted for years. Staff were fine and the room and bathroom were maintained very well. Our main disappointment was the size of the room - very small considering the price we paid. Other grouses were noise late at night on the Friday and Saturday from carousing wedding guests in the car park, which our room overlooked; and the small bed (advertised as queen size but the smallest double bed we've ever slept in)

Fantastic view. Rooms are big and bathrooms have been done up recently; rooms could probably be done up at some point. Service ok but not many smiles-rather plain.

First class food and restaurant with a view to die for. Very classy; a little pricey though...

Wonderful!Posted Sep 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is wonderful, the view of Paris is great, the surrounding neighborhood is pretty and restaurants are a very convenient and short walk away. The only potential problem is that it is far from the center of Paris, about 30 minutes by metro. But the redeeming feature is that this makes it a lot less expensive than other hotels in Paris, and the metro is about five minute walk. So very much worth it. The rooms are very large and comfortable, as are the bathrooms. Definitely, a great choice for business or (especially) pleasure.

Lots of characterPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Good restaurant.
Cons: Needs a gymnasium.
Location: Great location next to the huge park, and 5 minute walk from the town centre.
Convenient for Paris on the train, but about 5 miles outside the city. St Germain en Laye is a very attractive and clean town, and everything is a short walk from the hotel.

Good hotel, great location but...Posted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed two nights on the way home from the Dordogne. Picked the hotel because of the location (great views from the hotel over Paris and right beside a park.) with easy access to Paris by RER and ample free parking. Room was comfortable but lacked a few things (air conditioning - not even a fan was available on a very hot couple of days, tea / coffee facitilites) that we had enjoyed in a Best Western hotel in the centre of Poitiers the night before at much lower cost. Only had breakfast in the hotel restaurant which was OK but nothing special for the price. All in all I felt the hotel fell a bit short of its 4 star rating but perhaps that is the trade off for the location and I would probably stay there again.

Just perfect....Posted Mar 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Although we only stayed for one night it was perfect. The area was stunning with plenty to do, the hotel was amazing and the room was chic, comfortable and intimate. It made our short romantic getaway perfect and full of lasting memories....
