“Communication was early and thorough so we knew exactly how our check in process would go. The space was immaculate and extremely convenient to the ferry terminal and a short walk to old town. ”

“The apartment was charming with plenty of room. Well furnished with a table and chairs and occasional furniture making it homey and welcoming. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. We were welcomed by a lovely lady who made check in easy and made us feel welcome.”

“We stayed at Portou House for 5 nights and had an excellent time. Very good location in Chania Old Town. Communication was great from start to finish with Julia being very responsive. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine for my Partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. The only feedback we would have is that there was no full length mirror - think it would be good to consider including in the rooms. Many thanks Julia and team at Portou House. ”

“The hotel is in a Residential area, but is walkable to the main attractions and restaurants. It's a fairly new building so accommodations are nice and very comfortable. The rooms have a small kitchen area in the event that you want to prepare breakfast. Staff at the reception are really nice and helpful. I really recommend this place. ”

“The flat was brilliant and not too distant from the old town - 10 minute walk. However when I arrived at the property there was no receptionist and a sign pointing to the e-reception. I rang the bell on the keypad and got no response. I finally found a phone number and got through to someone who gave me a code to access my key - it was a real pain to search for a number I could contact them on - they had contacted me by email the day before to ask for my arrival time, and could easily have given……

“We stayed for 4 nights and we loved it. We will certainly come back to enjoy this beautiful place. It’s pretty new, in excellent condition and well located in the small town of Archanes. Restaurants are in walking distance. Wineries are close by. There is no parking at the hotel but only a few steps away at the upper street. Excellent and beautiful spot to stay! ”

“Spent 4 nights at the apartments. We stayed in July so were aware of the property. There were only us and another friendly couple staying here as it was getting to the end of the season. The rooms weren't cleaned during this time or fresh sheets and the bins weren't emptied. We disposed of the bathroom bin contents. We are aware there's no cleaner over the weekend, so maybe be provided with more bin bags and a bin to dispose of them in. We'd still happily stay here again.”
