"This home has everything you could possibly need for a long weekend away, It is peaceful and has beautiful views. We spent the long weekend kayaking and canoeing. Evenings were spent around the large dining room table then relaxing on the dock,deck, or fire pit! The home is situated in a very quiet neighborhood with beautiful homes and gardens. We gave this a 5 rating however we wanted to rate it as a 4.5 due to the need for a through cleaning of the outside living areas, mostly the screened in porch. We did a light cleaning of the porch and were still able to enjoy the gas fireplace on the day the weather was questionable. We highly recommend the Life Is Good Lake House and would be happy to return for future getaways! Proximity to was a plus for us as we are from Maryland and our adult children reside in Richmond. PS - the dogs loved watching all the herons and one even paddle boarded for the first time!"

"We had a wonderful time in Cottage 39. We were in town for a wedding and wanted a little bit of space for our family of 4. This was the perfect spot. We didn't get to spend a lot of time on property because of wedding activities, but we did take advantage of the free mini golf as well as the outdoor and indoor pools at the lodge. The kitchen was great for making breakfasts to start our busy days. We would definitely stay here again."

"Hosted a family reunion at this property, and was very pleased. Since we had toddlers, we were happy to notice the house is relatively baby-proof, on that there are almost no small or breakable items within reach of tiny hands. The kitchen is spacious for cooking, but could use a large-size frying pan. To go with the small and medium size pans that are stocked in the cupboard. Cleaning was spotless, and we felt right at home during our stay. I would stay again at this property, if I make a future trip to Lake Anna."

"This home has all you need for a quiet lakeside retreat. The private boat launch is just a few minutes walk from the house and it is a short boat ride to get from the launch to the private dock. It is a quiet neighborhood and not too far from Lake Anna restaurants. We enjoyed sunning on the floating dock during the day and relaxing around the fire pit at night. The game room is in the garage across the driveway with lots of room to play. Kitchen/dining room/living room is open floor plan so feels spacious even with a full house. We would definitely rent this place again in the future!"

"The condo was in a great location and was overall mostly clean and very comfortable for what we needed. The blankets and towels Some of the toilets looked visibly dirty inside, the floors and rug on main level were pretty dirty, but not terribly. When I asked what kitchen appliances and utensils were available, the response was not accurate so I packed cups, plates, silverware, mugs, cooking utensils etc. and in the end they were not needed. I was glad the kitchen was much more stocked than I was told, it was just a minor inconvenience that I packed extra. Overall we had a great experience and we’d love to come and stay again."
