The worst all inclusive resort I have been in my entire holidays. I come from the hospitality industry and as a specialist I can specify what is terrible about this resort. 1) facilities are not well maintained and well cleaned 2) The buffet was the worst I have seen in my life, food was not only disgusting, but it was also bad presented and only to look at it was difficult. 3) cleanness of the restaurants, terrible. 4) the staff didn’t have clue of what service and hospitality is from and chefs were there cooking but I guess it was their first time . 5) desserts like gummies, hard to eat, probably left from day before . 6) the room , I was shocked . The toilet was so old and the cleanness was terrible. 7) confusing place, very big structure,l and to get oriented.

Pool is lovely. Right by the beach. Nothing opens until 9:00 am (i.e. pool/gym) so don’t expect an early start! Breakfast starts at 7 though.

Amazing beach! Fairly ok hotel.
The hotel is old. So, better to go there not with high expectations. The room was clean-ish, could have been cleaner. Variety of food was good! The beach is amazing! One of the best beaches we have seen!

I am very upset. I would like a refund now that I’m back in the states. They didn’t have water when we checked in. Also, the conditions of the room were horrible and they have gave us two small beds instead of a king. Please refund me my money.

There is WiFi. There is food although not good and the same thing is essentially served all 3 meals not to mention people digging in it with their bare hands. There is hot water, there is a pool and it is located directly on the beach those are all the good things. The bad it’s dirty, the power goes out, the WiFi goes out, the Buffett is disgusting but the alternatives are sandwiches near the pool and the place in the villas that opens when it wants to. I would never stay here again. Take ur chances with an Airbnb the location on beach is good but nothing is around in walking distance

I am requesting at least half of my payment. The hotel was terrible almost all around. First they put me in a run down hotel and not the one shown on your website and the rooms were in 2nd and third floors and on opposite sides and very far away from elevator and even broken for Two days. There was a roach in the buffet table one of the nights . The bathroom toilet was broken and I had to take the top of the toilet tank and flush myself . After showing the water was running out to my room and I had to use the only Teo towels in the room to dry the floor so I wouldn’t fall. And this is only the one room , the second room the shower was clogged and air conditioner nit working correctly. And I can continue with the terrible service and food. Service was very good. Even thought the hotel is a little bit old, but as in Cuba, all is good. Food is good, but for the French restaurant, I didn’t have a chance to make a reservation cuz I always miss the reservation time. Buffet was good.

The beaches were beautiful but the rest was awfull, i would like to have a refund for at least 50% of what my boyfriend and I have pay. We arrived sick from food poisoning, my boyfriend vomited, it took 2 hours befor anyone come and clean or at least bring something to wipe the toilet area. Also, they were ants everywhere, mostly in the toilet. The food, the accual « buffet » was worst than a school cafeterias, and we also spot ants there, at the food station. When it rained, the water come into the room, mostly next to the bed, two tawels were not enough to clean the mess, all my baggage were socking. Finally, a discusting smell of old eggs all around the hotel, including inside of the room.

We stayed at Be Live Experience for 6 nights.My main concern was the amount of mosquitos that bited us.Thats a big problem I think they can spray and eliminate them.We came back to London today and still have swollen parts on legs and hands(thats not nice at all).Second problem is about food(they should be careful not to mix different meats(pork,beef and chicken when they fries them in same grill.Our villa 2 bedroom was spacious but simple furniture and the wall on corridor it had lot of big holes(I never seen that before,I wasnt feeling safe because any small animal eg.lizard or any other can get in.

I agree with all the other comments on here. Overall a great deal for what you pay - unlimited food, drinks, activities at the beach and resort, pool, close to the beach. Only thing is, the room is very OLD and run down. bathroom floods and the ceiling would be dripping, causing a small puddle. Maybe that's their way of making sure you make the most of the pool and beach? Haha

On 1 of the best beaches in the world & no crowds
The Beach is top 5 in the world! Incredible! The hotel coffee is Top 5 as well; as is the little outdoor patio bistro poolside where you can have your eggs served to you and listen to the birds under the sun. The pool large, clean and very cold (was empty!), the drinks bountiful, the buffet plentiful (although you do have to pick and choose according to your tastes). The people lovely. Met superb guests and staff (where was everyone, even the beach was quiet! Yay!) The room? Hmmm can't say the same. Old, tired, walls in need of paint, sink leaked, the grate for ventilation riddled with mold (made me worry about a potential Legionnaire's disease.) Housekeeping, sweet, helpful and kind. Would I come back? I'm already booked. Loved it hands down for the price, the weather, the beach, the coffee and the wonderful Cuban culture.

It is close to a beautiful beach and the pool is great but the property is outdated and need renovation. Overall staff are not so welcoming and helpful. Also there are only 2 restaurants in the hotel and it's hard to make a reservation and we cant book the Chinese restaurant during our 4 night stay

Front desk people were awful! We did not get the rooms we paid for and got downgraded to smaller beds rooms. Buffet for food is poor and quality is bad. 70% of employees are rude. Will never go back.

Our Experience Was Not Impressive
Property is old and outdated, not very well maintained. We had to change rooms twice since the first room given to us was terrible (strong smell of paint, dust from previous construction or repairs in the room, water/rust stains in bathroom and solarium) and a very tiny glimpse of the water for our reserved "ocean view" room. Reception was accommodating to change our room the next day to a better kept one with a little better view. But due to very heavy rains and repairs being done to the roof above the room there was massive water leak in the entryway during the night. Therefore had to inconveniently change to a third room. The rains caused leaks and pooling of water throughout the property: public areas, restaurant, lobby, etc. but staff looked like they were trying their best to take care of if. The reception & restaurant staff that we encountered were helpful and pleasant and our room attendant, Maria was terrific. The rest of the staff throughout were indifferent and seemed to be there just to do their job and that's it. There are enough bars on site so minimal wait to get drinks. The coffee bar provided nice coffees. The buffet selection was ok, the nightly entertainment was just something to pass the time. For what the property charges for their rate and experience we had, we were not overly impressed and just made the best out of the situation.

Good budget hotel
A well-located hotel with a great beach. The pool area is ok, and the staff are very good. The whole hotel and rooms feel like they need a bit of a facelift, but are all clean. The food was average.

My honest recommendation to all is DO NOT GO THERE. This is the most dirty hotel who I've ever seen! You can't see the nice nature through the dirty windows. The cockroaches walk on the food in the restaurant and nobody from the personal cares. The bath isn't clean with disinfectant/preparation never - scale stone and bacteria are everywhere. Тhey change/clean something if it is completely broken so you can watch the falling plaster and to beg that nothing will fall on your head. On the balcony there was so old cigarettes there are destroyed by the time because nobody consider the cleaning needs of the guests. Bath tub is not only old and almost destroyed but also unacceptable dirty. I tried to ask 2 times on the reception + I gave money to the housekeeper in order somebody to clean that place but NO! The sheets are changes on 4-5 days, never mind if they are dirty - you should ask specially if you want clean sheets and towels. 1week we tried to reach remotcontrol, they promised that will deliver but off course not.They have very good base which can use and create the perfect hotel but may be that is not important for the owners - they take a lot of money from us and don't offer same value. You can see the pics and please have in mind that I changed 2 rooms because even I've paid for 1 big double bed they gave me room with two separate beds. I refused to agree with this situation and after one night we changed the room. Оld and did not wash blankets.

Be Live Varadero I will be back.
I was very impressed with this resort. Having read loads of comments on trip advisor I wasn't expecting the food to be brilliant. I've been to Cuba many times and I know they do the best they can with the food available to them. This resort is just fabulous. The room was clean, it overlooked the pool and the sea in the distance. The pool and pool area was always clean, there was entertainment at night and of course the beach is just stunning. There is a bar near the beach where you can grab a drink and relax on a chair under a thatched umbrella and just enjoy the amazing place that is Varadero. The food was pretty good, the staff were pleasant and helpful. The wifi works in the public areas I would definitely stay here again.
