I traveled solo and had some work to get done during my stay, so I wanted a small and quiet hotel and One South Place was perfect for what I wanted to do during my visit to Belize. “Our short one night stay was excellent! Michelle is a SUPER HOST!! She had great communication and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The space is nicely decorated, clean and well supplied. Easy walking distance to a number of restaurants and the waterfront. Highly recommend for a quick stay or several nights! ”

“Main problem was ongoing construction of two new cottages only a few feet from the single existing cottage. Savy lodge owners care about client comfort and do not rent when renovating. Lighting along boardwalk poor and I tripped over a fresh 3 ft tall gravel mound ( construction) walking to our car in the dark. The manager did not show us the cottage upon our arrival as all other 13 places we stayed in Belize did.”

“The rooms are awesome, but the yard is still under development, the canal is choked with grass and trash making the kayak rental a no go , it's located abit remote if you are planning on walking anywhere. I think the rate is high for now , once the property is completed it would definitely be a place id go back to. ”
