Went for overnight stay in Tyler for a Valentine’s night out. Stayed at Holiday Inn Convention Center. Will try to stay polite. The hotel is more suited for work crews, as was who mostly was there. Parking lot was full of pot holes so parking was a bit of an adventure. Check in was quick and efficient. Staff was very polite. Had requested in advance, a room on a higher floor (we were put on the 2nd). Told all the higher floor were booked. Only cars on the lot were work trucks, and not many of them.
Received keys, breakfast passes and WiFi code and told where the elevator’s were and off we went. It was a maze without a map. And then trying to figure out how to get out other than the front entrance was exciting. No comment on food or bar as we had dinner reservations elsewhere.
Ah! The positive’s. The room was very clean and did not have a musky smell.
As for price, great for a Convention Center, until you arrive. Same price better hotel.
Do not recommend for families.
