There's no taxis or car on the streets of Venice which means that you have to walk all the time anyway. Restaurants are by the dozens, shopping is everywhere. "I had room 402. Room was quaint but had everything I needed. There was a cute little balcony overlooking a courtyard in the back. The shower made everything wet and leaked into the room, but maybe I didn’t shut the door tightly. Make sure you stash everything you don’t want wet-including the toilet paper! "I love the location. It’s located in the main though fare but EXTREMEL, EXTREMELY QUIET. With all the tourists and dining going on outside you heard absolutely no noise. The room was immaculate and the staff very helpful and friendly. My only concern was that my room was on the very top level 5th floor and the stairs became a bit much for a man my age ( 72) I had to rest at landings. "
