“Had a wonderful 10 night stay at Shantara. We loved being so close to Macrossan st and the beach, while the pool was an amazing end to each day. The Hotel was peaceful, beautiful and quiet. As is normal for Far North Queensland, there is not everyday cleaning service but we don’t use that anywhere anyway. Plenty of parking, but if you didn’t bring a car everything is walking distance with shuttle bus options for longer journeys. The only black mark of the stay were our neighbours on the pool……

“Very comfortable, clean, upstairs apartment with all the amenities in a very central location. Free parking outside and fast wifi. We especially appreciated the availability of a washer and dryer. Could have done with a hand towel for each guest, some kitchen paper towel and a towel in the kitchen”

Die Atmosphäre dort ist wirklich einzigartig. Besonders geliebt haben wir die freistehende Badewanne im Zimmer und die engmaschigen Moskitonetze, durch die man nachts die Fenster offen lassen kann. So schläft man mit den Geräuschen des Regenwaldes ein – einfach traumhaft. Das Frühstück à la carte war unfassbar lecker und auch das……

“The location of the hotel was excellent right in the middle of Port Douglas can walk everywhere. The main part of the room was quite small so it felt very cramped with our luggage. The bathroom was large, and the shower was very comfortable. The one major drawback for us was that there was a lot of scares climbing up and down to the second floor. Due to our very large and full luggage, it was very difficult climbing up and down.”
